The owner was so kind and fit us in. She was reasonably priced and quick. My daughter said the skirt fit perfectly after alternating.

I took my daughters prom dress here to have alterations done. We were told that she would be able to make her dress fit perfect. When we got there to pickup up dress it was still too small it was lit worse than when we brought it, my wife told her that it didn't fit and this is the day of my daughters prom. If I could give negative stars, I would. I would have never posted this review, had she not taken down my mom's review on her Facebook page. I took my wedding dress to be altered on April 9, 2022. I was told it would be ready to be picked up on May 16, 2022. When I called to find out a good time to pick up my dress, I was told that my gown had been lost and that she did not have any other bridal gowns in her shop. I asked her to please find it, and eventually she did after almost giving me a heart attack. Since she could not find it, that meant the dress was not ready for the date that I was promised. No big deal. Mistakes happen. She called me the next day and said she had finished it so I went to pick it up. Terrible. You could see the hem lines all over the bottom of the dress. She told me this was what happened when you don't cut off material and since there were 9 inches that needed to be cut, I believed her and asked her to cut it instead, but to cut a half an inch less, just in case the gown was too short. I wanted to have more room for mistakes since this experience already had me not trusting the shop. When I went in 5 days later to pick up my gown AGAIN, my gown was being worked on. Yes, my gown was in the sewing machine as I was coming to pick it up. When I tried the dress on, it was discovered that the dress had been cut too short. She told me she had made a mistake and had cut it too short. Yes, this came from her own mouth. At this point, I was unable to wear my wedding shoes because any height at all would make the dress look terrible and would have been above the floor. She tried to blame it on my mom and I by saying that we asked her to cut the dress 1/2 an inch shorter than what she had originally measured. How is a dress too short when we asked her to cut off LESS material? I had to bring the gown to another seamstress and it was then discovered that the dress had been BUTCHERED. Parts of my train had been cut into, the line was not even cut in a straight line. I felt like I was watching a horror movie. My dress literally had to be sewn and stitched and patched back together to make it salvageable for my wedding that was 5 days away. My mom posted about my experience on her Facebook page and she took the review down. If I can save just one other person from experiencing what I have, then this review is worth it. Please save yourself the time and stress and go literally anywhere else but here. She had absolutely no business "altering" a wedding gown. read more
