    Breakfast burrito
    Courtney H.

We LOVED going here for brunch. The menu is unique with a mix of breakfast classics. There were several things on the menu we were excited to try. The smoothie was the perfect consistency with no chunks! Very refreshing but also filling. The French toast was great if you like bread pudding! I am not typically a French toast lover but this was great. The chicken and waffles and burrito the others at the table also enjoyed. We love the cute atmosphere and the service was good! The only feedback I have is that it would be much better if the tea was fresh brewed. It tasted like it was from a machine which I really don't like for a little local breakfast/lunch spot.

We had a bigger party come in on a Saturday and had to wait awhile for a table, but the staff was super nice and kept us updated and it was well worth the wait! I loved the Terminal and Charlie's so I was looking forward to this. Super cute and eclecticly decorated spot right downtown Terre haute - felt like a fun college town breakfast. It's not in a stand alone building so you definitely need to look for the sign. The coffee and basic pastries counter is right when you walk in and I didn't try any but it did look good. We tried the potato latkes, avocado toast, and hangover breakfast sandwich. The potato cakes were like smashed hash browns - they were nice to share with the table and everyone enjoyed. The avocado toast came out looking like enough to feed 2 people - GIGANTIC. I loved the side salad that came with it and the arugula on top. Overall it was solid, plain avocado packed toast and I'd order it again! My only suggestion is to back off on the pickled red onions. I swear they may have given me the whole jar! The Hangover sandwich I had high hopes for, but the bagel needs to be toasted or different bread should be used. Everything inside it was delicious - the untoasted bread just didn't make any sense. Service was great and I'll be back! They had a huge menu and something for everyone.

Good food, nice service & great atmosphere. It is decorated so cute. Menu is large & thought-out.

    Sweet potato chorizo hash

We enjoyed lunch at Ladybird today. Given that we were at the Terminal Friday, you can go ahead and assume we are fans of the O'Laughlin family restaurants. Today we enjoyed a bit of everything and look forward to coming back for more. I started with a chai latte which was sweet, spicy, and frothy. We ordered potato latkes for a starter and to be honest the potatoes needed to be cooked just a bit longer, the flavor and plating were great, but the potatoes were a bit on the underdone side. The sriracha sauce on the table perked them up nicely. For meals we had the general tsos salad and sweet potato chorizo hash. The salad was good and the general tsos chicken even better. If they offered that sauce on wings or tenders, I'd probably order it! The potato hash was a big portion and easy to share. We enjoyed everything and plan to return to try other menu items, especially their cocktails, soon! This is an absolutely beautiful space to hang out and I hope they stick around.

Had the The Brunch Tweety, it was amazing! Much better than the conference breakfast I was about to get subjected to. Service was friendly and efficient as well!

All of our food was delicious! We tried two new menu items today and loved them. Great experience as usual!

The building itself is over a 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, this helps its cool vibe. We came in at 12:30 on a December Thursday, it was absolutely packed, what appeared to be multiple team/holiday gatherings. We were told a 20 minute wait, but we eventually were able to find a seat at the bar in less time. With as busy as it was, I was concerned food coming out may be impacted, but it came out quick. Allie was our bar tender, she was very friendly and attentive, shout out to her. First I started with a local beer, wango tango. I would call it a hazy pale ale. It was perfect for me. Had grilled shishito peppers. It was my first time to ever eat one, I loved them. I enjoyed them better without the sauce, but the wasabi Mayo did provide a nice kick. I ate the fried wontons with the sauce. We shared the crab Rangoon flatbread. It did not disappoint, and had a healthy serving size. I would get it again and again! Then I went with a comfort food, fried bologna sandwich. It came with a side, but the sandwhich alone was enough. I added a close pic of the sandwich, it had two thick cut pieces of meat. Impressive. It came with melted cheese, that was a twist for me, but I wanted to try it the way it was on the menu first. I eventually added ketchup, lol. We now have a new place to stop as we're passing by on 70. If I lived closer, i definitely would be a regular!!!

Well Dang! When you are here you certainly do NOT think you are in Terre Haute anymore!…read more Came here after a work event really just to check it out. When I walked in I asked where it was and the security staff told me to go to the 10th floor. You have to walk through the hotel part and go up. Once you get off I promise you, you feel that you are no longer in Terre Haute. I honestly felt like I was in Charlotte, NC. The view is insane looking at the greenery of what makes Indiana so pretty in the summer time (I can't wait to go back during fall to take in the view then too). The music was a total vibe. It was R&B, Chill POP (is that a thing, don't know how else to describe). There is an outdoor patio area where there was a guy playing live music and people sitting on couches relaxing and watching while enjoying a cocktail. I sat at the bar because I was by myself and certainly didn't want to take up an entire couch and leave that for others that may have larger parties. As soon as I sat down my server came to take my order. While I wasn't really planning to eat, once I looked at the menu the Chicken Nachos were calling my name. Even though I am counting calories, I had to order. Man, when they came out they were huge and so so good. You can order the chicken blackened which I did and man it was great. I just sat and enjoyed my very caloric nachos and a cocktail and just really took it in. I don't live in Terre Haute, I live in Indianapolis, but I spend a ton of time in Terre Haute for work. At that moment, I felt proud. I felt proud of Terre Haute for making the investment and proud that they are attempting to change the city by offering things like this. I host client events for work and I am thinking of ways to host something fun here, so I will be back!

WOW! What an unexpected cool space for Terre Haute. And this is absolutely a 5 star Yelp spot by…read moreTerre Haute standards. More "lounge" than "bar" to me, the space is vast. Through the hotel lobby entrance, take a hard right and then another right to the elevator bank, up to the 10th floor. There is plenty of signage to tell you how to find Altitude. A greeter is at the podium to offer a friendly welcome. We are actually not going to have a drink nor something to eat (note that they do offer food in addition to adult beverages). My aging parents and I simply want to walk around and see the space. And what a great space. Navy, white, golds and gray....sofas, bar seating, cream curtains, loads of windows, giant patio. I liked that the greeter was open and welcoming for us to simply walk around...and he was nice to my older parents who were moving slow. Thinking to myself that this place is more dressed up than dressed down, I am quick to remember this is Terre Haute. I think you could get away with a spectrum of clothing. Save the crappy cut offs and flip flops for another place, but I am certain they would not turn you away at the door. But with that, for a dressed up girls night out or a romantic spot in jeans with someone you love, this spot would be excellent. What a view and a what a patio! Now it is June and at 6:45pm as we are outside on this patio to take in the view, there is little shade, it is a bit warm and the sun is glaring to a person like myself that shuns the sun. But what a great space. Very open and spacious, some hightop tables, but mostly very tasteful outdoor sofas and chairs, with fire-pit coffee tables. Heat lamps are about and I know this space will be a hit at the perfect shoulder months of cool Spring nights and crisp Fall evenings. Full views south, West and North of the Vigo county area. This space in general is definitely a step up in the coolness factor for places to get a drink in this town. I give Altitude a 5 on Yelp and I am yet to have a drink. I'm optimistic that the bone dry Tito's martini with olives I will order on my next visit will match the ambiance we took in. And if they have blue cheese stuffed olives to boot, my cup will runnith over. I will come back.

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.

Husband liked his omelette and tater tots. I got the gravy and biscuits and a side of bacon. The gravy was good, not the best ever but good. The bacon was crispy and flavorful.
