Either create darts and "rouche" the dress on the sides (which would change the look entirely) or just leave it long and deal with it. The dress was lined, so I asked her to take up the liner. It was $30, which I suppose is good for her time, but in retrospect I probably could have done it myself for free at the library. The liner isn't visible, so it didn't need to be professionally done. We left it long. I dealt with it.

The employee that helped me was snobby, rude, stuck up, and was talking to me like I'm stupid, and made me feel like an outsider. I read somewhere online that a measurements appointment was free and I didn't have to buy or rent an outfit from there. He told me it wasn't free and I had to pay $20 for the appointment if I didn't want to rent or buy, WHICH IS FINE, it was my fault for reading misinformation, but the way I was treated when I told him what I read made me feel like I wasn't welcomed there. Again, it's my fault for not reading the right info but he didn't have to talk to me that way. I hope I never have to come back.

I went into the shop 3 different times to alter the top of the dress, then hem the bottom, and then make sure the bustle was perfect. I'm so happy that they were so kind, pleasant, and complimentary.
