Your wedding dress is incredibly important and sentimental, and I would want another bride to have this information before deciding where to trust with hers. I would strongly recommend that brides consider going somewhere else for their wedding dress alterations. I brought my dress in on June 12th. The alterations I needed were fairly simple: taking in the sides slightly and adding a basic bustle. My dress didn't have any tulle or lace. I had plenty of time before my wedding, so I was not expecting a last-minute turnaround. At my final fitting on July 31st, I was surprised to find that no work had been done on my dress. At that final fitting, I was told my dress was the next one in line to be worked on. I followed up again on August 21st to ask when it would be ready and was told September 3rd. I had planned my travel around picking up my dress and was going to be out of town for several weeks on and off leading up to my wedding. When I arrived on September 3rd to pick it up, I was told that the dress had not even been started. I ultimately picked it up on September 8th, and unfortunately, I was heartbroken by the result. The sides that had been taken in were poorly finished. The fabric was clearly visible, and the alterations looked very sloppy. When I brought up my concerns about how the sides had been done, I was told that it was "just how it is." I was disappointed by this response, especially given the amount I had paid for the alterations. Additionally, a large pearl was added to the back of my dress for the bustle without anyone asking or discussing this with me beforehand. When I originally asked about adding a bustle, I was told it could be attached to one of the existing buttons on the dress. A large pearl was never mentioned as an option. My dress had a sleek back with buttons all the way down, and the added pearl significantly changed the look in a way I would not have chosen. I was especially disappointed that this alteration was made without my approval. Overall, I spent $400 and nearly three months of waiting, only to be extremely disappointed with both the process and the final result. The lack of communication, delays, and quality of the alterations caused a great deal of unnecessary stress during an already important and busy time. Based on my experience, I would choose a different alterations shop.

Not only was my dress NOT done in time (7 days before my wedding and they had to rush to fix it), but it was done so poorly that a stitch popped out of the front of my dress in the middle of my ceremony. Yes, this lead to me nearly being exposed to the entire church. Then, my strap that they adjusted came undone during my maid of honor's speech. My husband had to hold it to save me embarrassment. It didn't ruin my wedding because of course my wedding meant way more to me, but it really hurt my memories from my wedding with all of the grief I had to deal with. The owner said she would reimburse me and I gave her several chances to do so. Now I have dozens of unanswered calls and emails. I tried to let her make this right and I gave her ample time... my wedding was a year and a half ago. Stay away from this place, they will do poor jobs and it is not worth the risk of it ruining your special day whether it's prom or your wedding. I'm so disappointed in this place, and I really hope the owner understands just how negatively she affected my wedding.

I am not sure how the world of alteration pricing goes, but I would say that their prices are average to high. They also took a long time for my alterations, especially with my dress alteration, but to their defense they did have it ready by the time they promised. It was over a month. They are very flexible there. I was able to have the dress fitted on my daughter while I was not there and then pay for it over the phone. I recommend checking these ladies out for you alteration needs.

She helped to alter my wedding dress to fit me well, shorten the straps, and hem the bottom. My dream was to add sleeves to my dress, which she did beautifully with ribbons. She added a bustle and came to my rescue when my cats ripped a hole in my veil. She even made me scrunchies from the scraps of the alterations. It was beautiful!

This must have been no easy task because her gown was allll beads and applique. So gorgeous! Erin has an eye for detail and allows for weight fluctuations in between fittings. My gown needed taken in at the bust and length shortened. In addition to everything fitting very nicely, she also fastened my rhinestone belt to my gown so it wouldn't move around but could also be removed after the wedding. Erin also takes the time to make sure you and the person helping you with your dress know exactly how the dress is secured. She even gave us some great pointers on how to make a perfect bow and how to use a crochet hook for quickly hooking buttons (of which there were tons on my dress). My wedding was on a Sunday when Erin's shop is closed, but Erin was nice enough to make herself available in order for my wedding coordinator to pick up my dress. As part of the cost of alterations, my dress and veil were steamed. They looked pristine the day of the wedding. Compared to other alterations shops in Indianapolis I would say Erin is on the more expensive side, but when you are in the shop for a fitting it is only you. No other brides sizing up you and judging your dress. No one rushing you in and out. It is calm and quiet, which to me is priceless. A great experience with Erin. Highly recommend.
