While searching for reliable transportation to and from Denver International Airport, I came across Joe's Car Service and decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, the service has been exceptional. The booking system is simple and user-friendly, and if I make a mistake, their customer service team resolves it quickly and efficiently. The drivers are consistently on time, professional, and courteous. Since I manage logistics from several states away, it's a huge relief knowing I never have to worry about my executive's transportation. Ride confirmations and receipts are always prompt, and I have complete peace of mind knowing my boss is in great hands. At this point, he's likely met nearly all of the drivers, and he's had a positive experience with every one of them. I'm incredibly grateful to Joe and his team of respectful, competent professionals. I also appreciate supporting a small business rather than a large corporation. It makes the experience feel more personal and dependable. Joe's Car Service has been a huge asset to our travel logistics, and I sincerely thank everyone we've worked with. You truly take the stress out of travel.

At the very least a driver needs to be able to communicate basic English (the overwhelmingly spoken language in the US) so if there's an emergency they are able to notify the proper authorities and/or assist. When you aren't able to communicate with someone, especially someone you are paying for a service and that service involves something dangerous, like driving, it not only takes away from the customer experience which has only gotten worse with uber but it does not make the rider feel safe. I've also had drivers cussing on the phone with their boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife and just honestly being terrible at customer service. How are these people vetted? I've been in cars where multiple warning lights are on, there's noise coming from under the hood (not good noise) and quite frankly I have no idea how they are even on the road. One car had their child lock on the back doors, not remotely safe. Drivers who have literally been blasting their music, wildly inappropriate lyrics and loud (but I guess we don't care about common decency anymore) then when asked to turn it down I was told this is my car you can do what you want in yours. It's just gotten to a point where I'd almost rather take Lyft or a Taxi over Uber. At least with a taxi if you aren't able to communicate with them they are at least professional drivers.

On the day and time of pickup, I received a text message from Uber that they could not find a driver. I had to request a taxi instead but only after discovering that Uber does not service Yellowstone. I have never had an issue with Uber that after getting confirmation that they don't service an area. They should have not allowed me to reserve a ride if that is the case. It made for a very anxiety driven time. I do love Uber but not today. Please make sure when booking a ride that they do cover the area and Uber, shame on you for allowing the reservation in the first place.

Peter is very professional and kind, and has the best prices around. However, we had several issues following our first conversation that has led me to rate this company as three stars. First off, the email response time is not ideal. There were several times were I never received any response back, or it took serval days to get a response back. Secondly, I do not find Cindy's manner to be very professional. Instead of working to find solutions to our problem I will discuss next, she informed me a little too much about her personal situation and health issues as excuses for the late replies. It was unwanted information and made me feel uncomfortable. I, of course, have empathy for her situation, but find it has no place during a business discussion between a company and their first time client. Thirdly, we had to hand hold the entire process. I was reassured by Cindy that she "does this all the time" and that there would be no issues. We sent over our pick up and drop off list with flight times and it came back with several errors. When I attempted to correct the original errors by emailing back what had to be fixed, I received a second version with only half the errors fixed. Clearly she was not paying attention to detail or even completely reading my emails where I called out exactly what needed to be fixed. This went on for quite some time until I finally told her to just use my document and not to change anything. It took me too much time to go through every single line item to ensure it was correct because of how many errors there were on their version. I should not have had to do this and again find it very unprofessional that I had to baby sit the process. Lastly, we never received anything in writing. I asked serval times for a quote or contract or something to ensure the service was booked and guaranteed, but never got anything in writing until after the service was completed. Again, very unprofessional. I'll end with saying that the day-of service seemed to go off well and without error. I received positive feedback from the riders and no one appeared to arrive late or get left behind. This i find to be the most important aspect of the service, and thus rate them 3 stars.

Peter the owner was unable to accommodate 30 people so I dropped it to 14.the pickup time was for 4 p.m. And my ceremony started at 5the shuttle service never showed up .I never got a phone call either to let me know what was going on. It turns out the owner had sent them to the wrong address by the time the van turned around and came to the correct address all of my guest except for two had found other ways of Transportation.I had scheduled to pick up that night to run every hour at 10 11 and 12 to get my guests back to the hotel. The van never showed up again until 1115 and at that time I had no longer needed them. I called the company trying to resolve this issue and get a refund for money .They charged me 300 dollars for all of this and because I had to pay another transportation company I could really not afford it.well on the phone the owner Peter Russell started screaming and yelling at me and then hung up the phone after admitting that it was his mistake and that he had read the email wrong I still have yet to get my refund he will not answer my calls or my emails I filled with the Better Business Bureau because he's definitely not a better business beware if you need a ride anywhere especially to and from the airport do not call themI've also spoken with several employees who stated he is stolen our paychecks and it had to take him to small claims court to get their hard earned money. This is a shady company run by an even shadier man.beware It is January 12 and I have yet to hear from the owner. I have filled in small claims court and now we have a court date. Will keep you all posted.

We fly into DIA a few times a year, to visit our adult kids, who both live in CO. One lives and works in Denver, and she's used Joe's service a number of times, as have her friends and co-workers. A++, in our opinion. Joe's a seasoned businessman, and understands customer service. He communicates well, and he doesn't get rattled in an imperfect world {the world of Denver traffic}. I've used driving services all over the country, on almost a weekly basis up until my very recent retirement. I love the fact that you're dealing with the owner. I love the fact that he's where the buck stops. We have ridden for the most part in one of his immaculate Suburbans. It's clean, he's got a supply of water, hard candy, and a few recent copies of People, etc. We never read them, as we always have a great conversation with Joe. As I read some of the low reviews, I'm pretty astonished, and my hunch is that people may not grasp how he communicates. He can't communicate with a crystal clear detailed email, while driving. I'll tend to communicate details in an email, or a text, and I ALWAYS get back a quick, and clear "Got it" "All set" "Look forward to seeing you". etc. I've heard him on his cell phone when he's asking people to confirm their travel details back to him via an email or text. It's not going into a black hole. He'll get it, and confirm back. Always has with us. He obviously needs a credit card, to make sure that he's not being used, and to assure that those booking are real customers. I will NOT put a CC number in a text or email, nor will many of his customers. He has mine on record {which I'm fine with}, but at first, I'd tell him that I'd much prefer that he call my cell when he had a minute, and I'd read him the number over the phone. No problems....ever. My first experience visiting our daughter was a flight in on short notice, and we took a cab from DIA to her office on S Colorado. Cap was full of smoke, seats were worn so badly that I thought we were sitting on the pavement, heat was full on, driver was impossible to understand, got lost, and was most likely high. $100, as I always tip. That's my DIA to Denver "5" experience on a 1 to 100 scale. My wife and I have always had 99+ experiences with Joe. When he's caught in traffic due to an unexpected accident ahead of him, he texts us. All good. Sure he's said it might be 12 minutes and it's been 20, but he's also said it will be 15 and it's been 5, and more often than not, when we're ready to leave, he's been there for 10 minutes waiting. We tend to leave plenty of time, as every flight we fly seems overbooked, we want to be there to get our baggage on the plane, and DIA has some great food options. Sure, AS IS THE CASE WITH ANY DRIVING SERVICE, S**T happens, but Joe's in touch. We were in CO last week, and changed plans twice. We had to cancel our DIA pickup with Joe, and then booked a ride with him to DIA on very short notice. He made it work, and all went smoothly. We had a great beet salad at Root Down, and a great flight back East. This is a SMALL business. Realize that. Joe's a good man. I wish he were in Boston,as we could use him a LOT. Even the best here tend to simply "forget you", or when you call, show up AFTER you've had to leave. A++. Just realize that if YOU don't allow enough time, and traffic issues ensue, that's not your driver's problem. Having driven in every major city in this country, and many abroad, Denver's traffic can be "interesting." Even more so with snow. Joe's our guy in any kind of weather. Probably will have him drive us to Eagle County next winter. Great guy. Great service.

Once that passed, we got to our gate ... but then baggage took for-freakin-EV-er (which is why I hate checking bags) Bottom line: I got to the curb more than an hour after our plane landed ... but Joe was there, in good humor, and didn't charge for the extra waiting time (neither of our faults, but many car services do). Joe had bottled water to sip and things to read (if I hadn't wanted to chat), but I was quite happy to talk. He was entertaining and informative on our ride into Denver, and even suggested a way to get to a Rockies game that was going on that night if I'd wanted to go. For just a couple of bucks more than a nasty cab, Total Transportation made me feel welcome and important -- even if Joe was in a Hawaiian shirt and not a dark suit. Would definitely use Total Transportation again...
