Jingle Bell was an evil little goober who likes to attack my two other dogs, and she needed some…read moreserious intervention after being rescued. We tried to train her ourselves for a couple of months but we eventually gave up and enrolled her at Happy Hounds. Pat, the trainer/owner, charges reasonable fees and has 35 years of experience in positive reinforcement training. I learned very quickly that we were doing everything wrong and it kept making Jingle even more anxious. After four sessions, Jingle is a lot more focused, eager to please, and I haven't called her evil in a month! Pat doesn't have the crazy social media presence that other dog trainers have (Happy Hounds has a Facebook page and a no-frills website) but I love it because I feel like her main focus is just to help us train our dogs. She loves what she does and it shows. Side note: I love how much she loves rescue dogs too! (Although to be clear, she loves dogs of all kinds!)

We used Pat at Happy Hounds for training for our Pit Bull back in 2010. We did the "Board and…read moreTrain" program which at that time included a 6 week 1x a week group class. After completing that we enrolled our dog in the next level of training. Pat uses positive reinforcement clicker training. It's a lot of work as an owner, but so worth the investment (time and $). We have such a well behaved pup!

Our experience with Keldrew Ranch has been wonderful! We're thrilled that we had the good fortune…read moreto find these compassionate people who have given a tremendous amount of time and effort to providing a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for the dogs. They have a beautiful setup which includes a climate-controlled building that is comfortable for dogs and humans alike in addition to high-quality food, treats, plenty of toys, and around-the-clock monitoring to ensure their safety and welfare. In addition to a beautiful 'house' of their own the dogs of Keldrew Ranch get plenty of fresh air and space to exercise outdoors while under the watchful eye of their caretakers. We were favorably impressed from the very beginning -- these folks are very responsive, answered all our questions, and gave us a warm welcome when we came to visit on multiple occasions. All of the dogs are part of their family and enjoy a great deal of socialization from the very beginning which brings out their sweet, gentle disposition. Plenty of personal touches are provided including individual Facebook pages for the dogs with frequent updates with photos and videos. When it came time to transition our little Dakota to his new home with our family they even provided a personal delivery of our precious little puppy with an awesome gift bag including paperwork, a CD with photos, toys, and bags of kibble and treats. Our experience didn't end there -- they have been extremely helpful with much-appreciated follow-up advice and information. Our puppy has made a very smooth transition to our home because of the wonderful care and attention he got from the beginning. Anyone who is looking to add a mini Aussie puppy to their family will not be disappointed by choosing Keldrew Ranch.
