I've ordered from Lady Chocolatt multiple times over the years, because my partner is SO particular and loves these. Never disappoints. Amazing quality, legit artisan chocolates for a fair price - even with door dash markup. They must also keep meticulous inventory, because I've never had any issues with availability when ordering a couple days in advance.

A little gorgeous Belgian chocolate shop by the busy Wilshire Boulevard. I used to stay literally less than a mile away, but never got a chance to pay a visit, partly because I only noticed its existance approaching my last day but also they didn't open on Sunday and closed by late afternoon no weekday. Wondering around the area this New Year's Eve brought my feet finally to its front door! Plenty of street parking in front, but as I was about to park, the florist sharing the same patio with the chocolate shop told me to just go to the back for free parking (call it my lucky day!). The shop literally looked like those classic long-standing one, which stayed cute across ages. There's nice semi open-air patio by the side to just chill over a cup of hot chocolate. I went for their Classic Hot Chocolate, which I indeed have been eyeing. It's a mixed of 5x% and 7x% chocolate melted in heavy cream; so yeah it's super thick and rich, just flawless for this chilly winter. I went for their 12oz and the super friendly guy behind the counter did mention he could gimme a to-go cup if I couldn't finish it since it was indeed filling. He said many people brought the remaining for to-go, put it in the fridge and ate it as pudding, which I ended up doing and yeah they're still as enjoyable just in different way! The showcase provided uber rich selections of chocolate truffles and pralines that I felt like all kinds of preferences served here as they had liquor-infused, fruit-based, nut-topped, and more. It's also perfect for gifts as they provided various sizes of gift-boxes with diffrent designs. It's weigh-based system, and I got 5 mix of truffles and pralines costed me around $10, which was kind of common price for a kind. I did a mix of dark chocolate based and milk chocolate based with different infusion and toppings, and none of them failed me. All the great reviews about this place was totally genuine and you could tell how great the chocolate quality was. Don't even feel hesitant to go for their unique flavors, such as the lime-infused one as it felt like having key lime pie in the form of chocolate truffle!

My boss gifted me a box of chocolates due to me going through some personal things for the holidays, and my goodness they're soooooo good. Delicious and right. I got an assortment of flavors and I love them all! It most definitely made me happy.

This was our first time visiting and it exceeded our expectations. The service was so accommodating and the chocolates and food were delicious! Hot chocolate was real hot chocolate!!

Belgian chocolate for a gift

Great little shop with friendly customer service. I was offered a few complimentary samples. Ordered the rich hot chocolate for the kid which was steaming hot and we waited a while before drinking it. Also purchased a gift of an assortment of divine Belgian dark and milk chocolates. Definitely will come here again. Limited street parking.

Lady Chocolatt has blown my mind. No longer will I look at store chocolate bars the same (well, maybe except for Kit Kat). My friends and I were taken care of by the man and woman of the shop (I wish I remembered their names!) We were all asked what types of chocolate we liked and they chose us a special sampler based on our tastes. We enjoyed our treats in their cute patio next to the shop. One friend couldn't partake because she had a soy allergy, but she was able to indulge in their delicious coffees. The coffees paired well with the chocolates. I decided to double down and drank a nice thiccc (yup you saw that, 3 c's baby) decadent hot chocolate. They also sell sandwiches but at the time they didn't have any due to the large shipment of chocolate they received. On the side of the wall they also sell other treats such as pannetone for your last minute holiday gifts. There is meter parking in the street and a small parking lot behind the store. Lady Chocolatt is the place to be where you want to get away for a moment and treat yourself to luxurious sweets. :)

This barely noticeable hole in the wall is a hidden gem. Walk in off of Wilshire and you immediately face a choice: which Belgian chocolate shall you choose? The selection is not overwhelming, but it is certainly large enough to give you choices across a wide range. All of the chocolates are made in Belgium. The store is owned by, I believe, a mother and son. Independent of their relationship, those behind the counter were incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to describing the chocolates. I am often loath to ask for too many descriptions, but they were more than happy to talk about the intricacies of each selection. The chocolates themselves were very good, better than very good, dare I say, excellent? I am not a chocolate aficionado (full disclosure, I actually enjoy eating straight baking chocolate), but every so often one needs to add a little sugar to one's diet and these chocolates evince a nice delicate depth of tastes housed in soft ganache. The place itself is bright, clean, and cheery. I was surprised by the outdoor patio, which offers a nice covered dining area. They serve coffee, traditional hot, chocolate, and sandwiches- - which I have not yet tried, but will do so shortly and will report back. So, if you need chocolate as a gift, or, let's admit it, just have some yourself, this is a great place to judiciously choose those calories.

So good! Seems a bit pricy if you're used to mass produced chocolate, but man, is it worth the money. Some of the best I've ever had.

Galco's will forever hold a special place in my heart…read more This is the OG grocery store we would walk to in the early 80"s. When they had penny candy machines, a big taxidermy deer head and the kindest owner. He once gave me and my sibling a big paper lunch bag full of candies! I love seeing the original check out stand, the little upper office where the owner would stand and the old fridge area where it once held fruits and veggies now old school candy bars. If you grew up in highland park in the 80s, this was the local market. How I miss those days! Highland Park is so different now! Btw Galco's makes some of the best sandwiches! First: I used to love this place. As a fellow small biz…read moreowner nearby, I supported and promoted this place as one of the long standing coolest stores on the Eastside. It has such a selection of candy from your childhood, and for kids, random unique gifts to keep them busy. but yesterday...all that flew out the window. I approached the sandwich counter and asked the person working (an angry woman apparently) what her favorite sandwiches are. After she took a minute to complain about how she had been making sandwiches all day and her brain is fried and she didn't really have any recommendations for me (and was seemingly annoyed at me even asking) she looked at the clock and advised that I was 2 minutes too late to order a hot sandwich. literally the 2 minutes she took to complain about her job cost me the sandwich. now, if it was my shop and a nice family came in and asked me my opinion on something and I took a minute or two to say the things that she said I would give them a sandwich and make that sandwich be the last sandwich of the day, but instead apparently my money wasn't green enough for her. She shut it down and two minutes later was out the door. she was rude, and honestly it just seemed that she didn't give an F. Today I called the store to speak with the owner and the person who answered the phone gave me the runaround. it was clear that either the workers didn't want to connect me with the owner or the owner doesn't want to hear the complaint. this place has gone downhill.
