I'm rating according to Yelp's phrases that accompany the stars. 2 stars = could've been better. I came in and got 3 pieces to try (dark cherry, toffee, marzipan). My total was $10, aka each piece was about $3 something. ????? Way too expensive. The chocolate wasn't even that great. Maybe I got the wrong things, but everything was WAY too sweet for dark chocolate, and I never really eat milk chocolate anyway. The toffee wasn't as nutty as I hoped for. Sooooo many better options out there. Save your money; you can get better chocolate at whole foods. Unless you LOVE extremely SWEET and basic tasting chocolate. This chocolate is worth every penny. I got just a couple cups of the almond bark in both milk and dark. The milk was so creamy and the dark not bitter at all. I love that they have jars of every candy imaginable and they will make a bag of your favorites. read more

But DAMN, $2.25 for 2 pieces of dark chocolate honeycomb, and NO FREE SAMPLES? (see: See's Candies). It was tasty, I'll give them that. But still, too rich for my blood. Honestly, I was so prepared to hate this place with a fiery passion. My grandma loves this place, and, as she is recovering from surgery, I went into get her a pound (umm yeah $45 bucks per pound). I was shocked and dismayed. Surely they most be covering gold doubloons with some chocolate to charge that much? No, apparently they aren't. BUT this is pure chocolate artistry -- fresh, commitment to excellence and so pure and delicious, you can taste the difference. Although I have a hard time buying some for myself, I did buy a box of four chocolate covered marshmallows for myself for Christmas. They even wrapped it perfectly. Customer favorites include: pretzels, Oreos and of course dark chocolate covered dates (for the season). read more

The chocolate covered honeycomb bites are the perfect ending to a meal! We have been buying Edelweiss candy forever and have never been disappointed. Dark chocolate is the perfect covering for dipped orange slices, marshmallows, pretzels, and honeycomb. For the kids there are plenty of old favorites like Sweet Tarts and chocolate footballs. I just went in here with my daughter to buy a box of chocolates as a gift. The woman working at the store was not friendly and I noticed her picking up all of the selected pieces of chocolate with her bare hands - no gloves or utensil. When they tipped over she grabbed them with both hands and started to reorganize them. This was just too gross so I politely asked why they didn't use gloves. She glared at me and said she used hand sanitizer- I just walked out and will never go back again. read more

At first I too was staggered by the price, but I had heard raving reviews about the place and wanted to try just a few pieces. It's been a spiral since then--every time I'm in the area I can't help myself but indulge. For those of you wondering, please try the peanut butter crunch, caramel crispy, english toffee, snowcaps, and salted caramels. It's the perfect treat for any condition or occasion and makes an excellent gift because literally anybody I know would kill for a box of these chocolates. The people in this store feel like family. They're approachable, easy to talk to, and extremely helpful. I used to say my greatest shame was being known by name in this candy store but really it makes me feel incredibly welcomed and appreciated. I have sampled chocolates at the finest Belgian chocolatiers and Edelweiss does it better! I especially love the honeycomb sponge.
