Absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious and you should definitely sit in the flower garden if you can. It's gorgeous and a beautiful ambiance. The inside is nice too but feels a bit stuffy. The croque Madame which is made with turkey and not ham which was super lucky for me was absolutely delicious. And even though it looks small on the plate it was very filling. The eggs was also perfect. The macarons were absolutely delicious. However for $5 for one you would expect less cracks. I was looking forward to coming here. As I kept hearing about the beautiful outdoor area, so I went for breakfast. This place is known for their macarons, I do not eat them but this location has a full on menu. I had a latte which comes with the Laduree logo on top and the latte was very good. Honestly, better than my meal. Which, by the way if you want to dine in it's a $35.00 min per person per table. Before I read this I was just thinking about going ti get a coffee and sit in the outside garden area. I was wrong. I ended up getting eggs Benedict with bacon. It came on a brioche bread which, I never had before. Usually, this dish comes on an english muffin. It was good and had the sauce on the side. The eggs itself come as two legit hard boiled eggs on top which, I had never seen before. Was it worth the price...ehh not really, but did have a nice waiter who took my allergies seriously and wrote them all down. Adorable serene patio garden escape in the heart of the bustling soho. This closed off back patio covered in shady plants is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon. It feels like you're in another country. The food is surprisingly really good and indulgent. I didn't expect the food to be as good as the pastries. Went for lunch and sat in the outdoor patio. The setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We were sat at a table right next to a tree and the grate around the tree made it a bit difficult to move my chair. The food was delicious. I had a quiche Lorraine and a side salad. It was very tasty. There was a minimum spend of $35 per person on the weekends and Fridays ($25 during the week). But, we had no problem hitting that because the dishes and drinks were a bit pricey. The service was good. There were several different servers who helped us. The food took a while to get to us. Patience is the key. So for my bday I got invited to go here by a total stranger because we had the same bday. Yep Anyhow I went with her and her friends and it was awesome. The garden is gorgeous. Full stop, just a lovely place to be, and absolutely stunning in cherry blossom season. I made a reservation for the outdoor garden and when I arrived the hostess initially told me I couldn't be seated there because there wouldn't be enough space for my wheelchair. WYM when there's a whole ramp and that area is the most spacious in the whole restaurant, and you just told a couple of walk ins there would be space for them to sit there? When seeing how easily I handled the space, the hostess excitedly announced that I can go anywhere now--gee, thanks, good thing we have had the ADA longer than you've been alive to ensure that. Then, our waitress was nice but in way over her head. It took forever to order, and when we finally did, they brought us the wrong quiche. Now even though this girl could barely cover the tables assigned to her, there were a bunch of busboys milling around waiting for something to do. We told not one but two of them that we got the wrong dish and it took no less than 15 minutes to get the waitress back to our table, and one of the guys even asked me why she hadn't stopped by yet. I dunno dude, you were supposed to call her over. I get that kitchen mistakes happen but they need to be corrected expeditiously. The girl had no idea what was wrong with she finally got to our table, so clearly the other staff neither flagged her down for us like they said they would nor explained the problem. When you force a minimum order and 20% tip on people, the service needs to match. Regarding the food, the zucchini quiche we actually ordered was pretty good but small. The mushroom quiche we got due to the kitchen mistakes was icky. The mushrooms are roughly chopped and not cooked down enough. Glad we sent it back. We also got the Ispahan and lemon tart pastries. The lemon tart was fine, an average version of itself. The Ispahan tasted kinda of stale. The macaroons are good here as is the tea but you can't just come for that because the restaurant has a $35 minimum order per person. Speaking of the tea, it comes pre-brewed which means that if it gets cold, there's no reheating. They brought out our tea and coffee way before the food came and by the time we resolved the quiche debacle, my tea was completely cold. Next time I would just get tea and a big macaroon order and take some home to meet the minimum, but tbh I wish I just went to the Brooklyn botanic garden to look at cherry blossoms instead. A bit disappointing. This is a lovely restaurant, with elegant decor but service from the hostess in the front isn't aligned with what you'd expect from this type of restaurant. I booked a reservation for the outdoor garden. Upon arrival, we were told our options were a) to be seated indoors, b) sit in an outdoor table in the back in a corner next to the door or c) wait 30-40 minutes for the outdoor table When I told the hostess that my reservation was for the outdoor garden, she wanted to see the email. At first I showed her the text that confirmed my reservation but then she insisted it has to be the email! I found the email and showed it to her and then she said, you have to wait 30-40 minutes if you want to sit outside. Ok, so what is the purpose of insisting to see the email confirmation if she wasn't going to seat us outside? Was she hoping that I didn't have the email ? Looking outside, I can see there were a few empty tables that can fit our party of 4. I understand these may be held for reservations but HELLO...I am one of the people who made a reservation for an outdoor table!!! The waitress/service was alright, but she brazenly sold me macaroons that were so hard that it left teeth indents on its products (that photo was my unsuccessful attempt to eat one). As soon as I bit into one, the back completely fell apart, revealing the staleness and age. I also bought other treats of its type, but they were of varying hardness and staleness that I was concerned that ingesting them would make me ill. I've eaten soft, pillowy macaroons from other establishments but in this case it was a horrible and nauseating experience. While the hot chocolate was decent, that did not assuage the pain of wasting roughly $50 for what should have been a respectable gift and time of cheer. Literally the best macaroons ever, sooo soft and fresh. Love the variety of flavors as well! Rose and pistachio were the absolute best. Some of the more unique tea or citrus ones were also very surprisingly good. The classic chocolate sadly wasn't the best but overall still amazing. I'm hesitant to give between 4 and 5 stars because although the macaroons were amazing, the seating is sooo limited and not the most comfy. It wasn't too clean as it's not clean between guests since seats are so in demand and overall was anything but elevating the experience. More seating can be unlocked inside but you need to spend minimum per person which was like a whole meal which didn't seem very customer friendly to those who just wanted quick bites. Ladurée macarons are well known for a good reason -- they weren't too sweet, and we could clearly distinguish the flavor differences. Our faves are orange blossoms and rose. Recently, I visited Ladurée for a late-day birthday brunch and overall had a nice time. The service was excellent, but since it was closer to the end of brunch time, the kitchen was about to close. Something to be mindful of if you're planning a late brunch. However, even when the kitchen is closed, you can still order desserts and drinks from the bar. For my entree, I had the vegetarian omelette with goat cheese and spinach, accompanied by a side of truffle fries. The egg was a bit underwhelming, but the truffle fries made up for the meal in both portion and flavor. Despite not loving the omelette, they were very accommodating with customizations. To drink, I had the garden spritz, which is predictable for me given that I tend to go for what seems most balanced on the menu. I also tried the Royale Ladurée because I was still coming down from the New Year sparkling wine life! Both were delicious but not particularly noteworthy. The highlight of the experience was definitely the dessert. The tart Citron packed great flavors and textures, and the meringue was just the right amount to complement the citrus flavors. The famous Ladurée macarons. I remember when they first opened a store in NY on Madison Ave about 10 years ago when the macaron craze hit NYC. Everyone was clamoring for them. I ate my fair share back then and hadn't had their macarons in several years. This time trying them again I do still appreciate the consistency of the delicate shell and the varied fruit or other sweet jammy or creamy concoctions sandwiched in the middle. They carry and are most well known for classic flavors--think pistachio, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, strawberry, lemon and the like. These are good, though from a creativity standpoint they add variety by carrying seasonal flavors, which to me are more compelling. The part I'm not particularly thrilled about is that none of the macarons are made fresh in store. There was an article a while back that uncovered how all the non-French locations get macaron components made in Switzerland and frozen then shipped to the other countries. This is a bit sad considering how lovely they are fresh. I've tried a few of their house blend teas and find them a bit on the perfumey side. Maybe I'm not used to the stronger fragrances since I'm more of a herbal and Asian tea drinker--think more green, floral or earthy, rather than the heightened floral notes of Ladurée's tea blends. This location is quite nice, like all Ladurée outposts decorated to look fancy and elegant in a 19th century Parisian aristocratic kind of way. Worth checking out if you want to do a nice brunch lunch or dessert stop. I haven't tried the food or other desserts personally though they look worth checking out. I have been on a French food streak recently and so this place is a must visit for delicious Parisian sweets. The inside is opulently decorated! Marie Antoinette vibes and all the sweets to go with it. Desserts Passionfruit macaron: the burst of passion fruit is subtle but not too much. This was pretty good! Marie Antoinette flavor they have is very earl grey like and maybe a tad more flowery. Pistachio macaron : I loved this! 10/10 almond taste is nice and highly recommend if you like almond! Enter through the back patio on Thompson St to get a real feel of the atmosphere. On a nice day in Soho you'll pass by tables of fashionistas having their Emily In Paris moments. You will enter into a gilded room with chandeliers and heavy drawn curtains. Here you'll see private parties having their Bridgeton moments. Keep walking and you'll enter a room of leopard print carpeting and a candy box striped ceiling set against mint walls. Let your eye travel from the trim on the velvet Royal blue chairs to the trim on the overstuffed benches to the matching boarders on the walls. Woven roped chair tassels match the colors of the boarders and the ceiling, somehow calming the royal blue furniture against the animal print floor. Sit in this room if you aren't dressed for either of the other scenes and you will be happy to find exceptional service and attentive staff. Just beyond this room you'll get to the main entrance with the white marble statues flanking one wall opposite the decadent macarons and pastries. The atmosphere helps match the richness of the food and evokes historical French luxury. Stay for a meal here if you have the time. We spent about 2.5 hours dining in the French style. To start, order some viennoiseries. The roulé chocolate noisette was the best. It's filled with hazelnut pieces and half dusted in powder sugar. You also will be hard pressed to find a better chocolate croissant in Manhattan. The rose croissant did more for the eyes than for the palette. The taste is so subtle it's barely noticeable, but the color is rich and vibrant. I ordered the quiche lorraine. The filling is light and fluffy. Bacon is used here instead of lardons making for a lighter quiche. My friend really enjoyed the salmon benedict and would get it again any time we return. After a few pots of tea. We ordered the vanilla eclair and the praline millefeuille. The eclair is coated in a sugar glaze and topped with a large slab of white chocolate. The vanilla bean cream inside helps to balance the sweet exterior. The millefeuille is flaky puff pastry, this sways more savory than sweet. I prefer the richer deserts. The chocolate saint-honoré I had there the last time was the best. I like though that the pastries are typically rotational. We each left with a box of 6 macarons. At $27 this is a small luxury. Those who don't like macarons here seem to be misguided or chose the wrong flavors. They are light crispy and balanced in flavor. Each is crafted to deliver a memorable experience. My friend and I planned to walk in to sit in the courtyard. When we arrived in the morning the host told us that they were not accepting walk ins until later in the afternoon, so we could not put our names down. However, he again wanted to turn us away until we reminded him that he said we could come back and he would put our name on the waitlist for the afternoon. He told us it would be another two hours. Since we had already waited for so long, we decided to stick around. When we finally sat down in the afternoon, we were seated in the outskirts of the courtyard. There were plenty of open tables in the middle of the courtyard so we asked to sit in the main courtyard, however the host said that the tables were unavailable. There were more than five tables available and we saw the host consistently turning other people away, without even letting them on the waitlist, so to find out that there were consistently empty tables was unbelievable. In addition, some tables remained unoccupied while we were there. Regardless, we were seated so we ordered our food, drinks, and dessert. Since we had to wait so long, they were no longer serving breakfast or brunch. We ordered and asked to be served the food first, and the dessert after. The cherry blossom latte came quickly and was very pretty. We got the caesar salad and club salmon and the food came quickly too but was overpriced, small, and tasted at best average. I ordered a tea but it didn't arrive while we were eating. Throughout the meal the waiters were blocking our view and taking their own pictures and videos on their phones. By the time we were finishing our meal there were more than ten empty tables in the main courtyard so we asked our waitress if there was any possibility to be moved to the center courtyard for our dessert. She was very kind and agreed. However, after we moved to the main courtyard another waiter approached my friend and was rude to her about sitting in the main courtyard. Our desserts came, but my tea still had not arrived. I asked the waitress and she said she forgot to put it in. We ordered some macarons, the isphan, and the lemon meringue tart and the desserts were all good! Overall the courtyard is very pretty and the desserts are good, but it was not worth the long wait and the bad service. We made a reservation a month in advance, so we could experience the viral cherry blossoms! We ordered the ispahan peptite, éclair chocolat, truffle fries, and a few drinks and spent around $75 total. Everything was decent, but I do think this place is more for the aesthetic and vibes than the food itself. I also didn't love the service we experienced. Initially we were sat on the patio, but asked if we could be moved to the main garden which they were able to accommodate, so I really appreciated that! However, we initially sat without menus for 10+ minutes as the QR codes were missing from our table and no one had told us to look for one, so we assumed there was a physical menu to wait for. Additionally, one waiter said we had to order from the lunch menu if we sat in the garden vs. indoors. The other waiter who took our order didn't actually mind, but we added the fries from the lunch menu just in case. When you make your reservation, you can't pick where to sit, so that isn't a really a fair rule to enforce if true. It also doesn't explicitly state anywhere on OpenTable that that's the case, so if that is an actual rule, they should clearly state so because we had just come from lunch at another restaurant. The same water who told us this rule had also told us all of the desserts we wanted to order were sold out and unavailable, so we had to pick new items but when the second waiter took our order, we asked again just in case and they weren't all sold out. Overall, I thought the cherry blossoms were quite pretty, but I probably wouldn't go again. The service was mixed, and it's overpriced. You can get better food elsewhere. Very very good macaroons but they were a bit expensive! The vibe in here is really high end and there are so many different options. I think it would definitely worth the price and trying but I don't know if I'd go again. read more

Ladurée is a really elegant space with great food and kind servers. I do prefer the garden seating, but indoors is a beautiful vintage-parisian vibe when it's colder out. They also have a bakery in the front/back based on which street you enter in from with their famous macarons. The food is absolutely delicious (great balance of flavors) and the portions are moderately good. They seem sort of small at first, but end up being pretty filling. I do wish the portions of sides were bigger (like in my steak dish), as you're paying quite a hefty sum LOL! Note before you come, do note this place is *pricey*! Obviously, they don't claim not to be, but I always think it's helpful to note. Also something fun to note: they're really wonderful with birthdays! They bring out macarons with candles and everything. It makes all the difference! Overall, I think it's a wonderful spot for a special occasion and the macarons are AMAZING, however I wouldn't come here more than a couple times a year. read more

I love this shop so much, I only wish they would offer more seating since only 4 small tables seemed very limited by the amount of people coming in, even a bench outside will help. That set aside these are my absolute favorite macarons in the city, especially the fruity ones, raspberry in particular. I'm also a big fan or their rose tea, but unfortunately in my last visit it was out of stock. Definitely a great spot for a sweet tooth and a great place to get a sweet gift for a special occasion. Staff is very friendly and at this location they also have a beautiful old room and back patio with a full menu for either lunch or dinner I would recommend checking it out. read more
