It's chocolate, how can it not be 5 stars! Bought a few things to nibble on while we shop. Vast selections and great customer service with employees explaining all the items. Make sure you stop and at least grab one item to try. Enjoy. Closes at 7pm.

Chocolate- 5 stars Service- 2/3 I've never been a chocolate lover but then I tried their chocolate and wow! Mouth-gasm!!! The two I ALWAYS eat are the dark chocolate with almonds and the other is a dark chocolate with strawberries and red pepper. Interesting combo for the second one, yeah? But absolutely delicious!!! I always take the same thing and my hubby gets milk chocolate... he claims it is too good to be true! Unfortunately, I am unable to second his opinion because I don't like milk chocolate! But if I had to guess myself, I'd say mouth watering ;-) Service here isn't the best... they're rude. They kind of just stand there and give you this look like "wtf do you want?" Buttttt that doesn't stop me from coming in! Must try if you're visiting Switzerland :)

Someone left a review about how all she did in Switzerland was eat all of the chocolate, and I'm quite certain I'm doing the exact same thing. It's my first time in Geneva and a number of my colleagues said Laderach is the best chocolatier here. The slabs of chocolate are truly mesmerizing. Apparently you can try samples - I should have done that as the choc with biscuits sounds amazing. I got the milk chocolate with hazelnuts, the white chocolate, and the dark choc with orange. They are all amazing! The nuts are roasted and caramelized, which is a game changer. Turns out all the ones with nuts are like that. I easily dropped $50 on maybe 3/4 of a slab of chocolate in total but honestly...but no regrets. Turns out, a bunch of my friends who have visited Switzerland before love this spot too.

My spouse shopped extensively but we ended up here. Excellent product and service. Very helpful staff.

They were the most I've spent on a chocolate bar, but I wanted great Swiss chocolate.

Though it…read morewas tempting to get everyone a bar of Migros budget chocolate, just to prove that even store-brand chocolate in Europe is vastly superior to US chocolate... I knew I needed to visit a legitimate chocolatier. Rohr came highly recommended as a Swiss brand, and the shop was convenient to the tram. It's a small shop (watch out if you're carrying a backpack!), but absolutely packed with gorgeous and fragrant confections. The window was filled with chocolate cauldrons and marzipan veggies, since we were visiting close to L'Escalade. I wanted to buy one so badly, but didn't think it'd make it home - it'd be a shame if I had to eat it myself. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful to me and my companions. I largely picked out chocolate bars because they are easy to take home without damage (though be careful taking a big stack through security - they'll look like a bomb on X-ray!) and they had fabulous flavors - dark and milk chocolate with fillings like orange, pistachio, lemon, hazelnuts, etc. They also had some extra-special bars of fancy chocolate bars, some single origin and some with special fillings. I bought a big stack! I also had to buy a few special items. I picked out a little chocolate bear, who turned out to be filled with something creamy and crunchy and chocolatey. I got some of their praline bars. I picked up a jar of caramel sauce with fleur de sel (which I plan to put on crepes). And... I bought a chocolate trash can. Yes, a trash can - Rohr is known for its "Poubelles Genevoises," which are literally cast to look like Geneva's trash cans. They have them in small individual boxes, perfect for gift-giving. Per US standards, this is very expensive chocolate. In Switzerland... it seemed to be on the average-to-expensive side. But everything I've tried so far has been excellent. And when one of the international flight crew saw my little red bag in the airport, they said, "Oooh, Rohr? That's great chocolate!" That's how you know you've chosen well.
