Our first visit to Ladera Ranch Pediatric Dentist was above and beyond. Our other dentist was little hero's and they were going to do a root canal on our 5 year old. LR pediatric did a great job addressing the issue but went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make him feel more comfortable! Then on pricing the other place was ROBBING us and using our child as a sacrifice to make more money by putting him in more pain than he would have required. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Maybe I did on Google? I have only recommend one dentist, one vet, and one physical therapist in my entire lifetime and hands down it isDr lee and Dr Kevin's practice that is THE dentist I have recommended! Thank goodness too because the kids we know who continued in Irvine at the other dentist office are now getting cavities on top of old cavities with a possible root canal at age 17! My sister took her kids to Dr Lee in Fullerton but I live in Irvine so go to Ladera ranch. They are trustworthy and honest! If they spotted a cavity on my kids' baby teeth they never automatically filled it. They would tell us many times to wait(depending on size and location) in case the tooth was going to come out anyway. They are conservative and thoughtful with recommendations and their practice. If you have a cavity filled on lower teeth you go home w this cotton thing in your mouth to avoid biting your lio, which is numb. Our old office in Irvine nevet did that and my son bit down so had on his bottom lip and it swelled so much and hurt! The hygienists are nice and skilled. Front office staff always pleasant So worth it for me to drive to ladera ranch knowing my kids are getting proper, trustworthy care! read more

We have been seeing both Dr. Lee and Dr, Kevin for 4 years now. They are amazing with kids and both of my littles look forward to their appointments! My youngest developed cavities in three areas of his mouth. Dr. Kevin recommended doing fillings and explained the process very clearly. I went to a holistic dentist to get a second opinion and was so overwhelmed when she recommended general anesthesia, blood draws to match my six year olds blood type to the amalgam, and on and on. Ultimately we went back to Dr. Kevin. He was so calm about everything, my son breezed through the experience and then we even got a partial refund after the insurance payment went through. Omg, how have I not reviewed this dentistry yet?! (Woops, just realized I have reviewed it before!) My boys have been going here for a couple of years now and I can't recommend this place enough. The experience is always a great one. The staff and doctor are so kind and obviously great with children. My youngest, who gets scared easily, has gotten more comfortable with every visit. In our recent visit, he was so calm and got through his cleaning and x-rays like a pro, which just shows how great the hygienists are. I so appreciate our pediatric dental practice! They feel like family at this point. We've been patients for six years. They are able to get all of my children in for cleanings at the same time, which is incredibly helpful. The hygienists are kind, friendly and patient. I literally had the quickest cleanings today with three, very happy girls. Amazing. And Dr. Kevin (whom we saw today), and Dr. Lee are wonderful - they are knowledgeable, attentive, also friendly, upbeat, thorough and encouraging. I always get helpful and practical feedback on where we can improve, and yet everyone at this office is so kind, and seems like they're rooting for us - rooting for my children, rooting for me as a mom, and of course, rooting for us, as a family. It's such a blessing to feel known and have the best dental care for your children. Amazing experience today! I came in with my daughter who was crying and so nervous to have a cracked tooth removed and left with her smiling asking for Dr. Kevin to be her new dentist. The entire staff showed us kindness, patience and made the experience positive. I took my 2 of my kids for their teeth cleaning . Office is very clean and air conditioned . Kids loved it, best part was picking your own prize with the pin they got from the dentist and a gift bag with cleaning things in it. Teeth were cleaned painless , they saw Dr. Richard Lee for exam . I met Dr. Lee , he is very professional and friendly ! Staff is very friendly , appt was on time ,it was out first appt so I came earlier 30 min to fill the detailed paperwork . We love Dr. Kevin and Dr. Lee! My two boys have been seeing them since their very first dental appointment, so about 11 years now. Every visit has been excellent. Their entire staff is also wonderful. We recently had my 11 year old son almost completely knock out one of his permanent front teeth on a Friday night after 8 pm. We were able to immediately get a hold of Dr. Kevin (no waiting on call backs) and his dental assistant met us at the office within about twenty minutes of the call and he was there about 5 minutes after that. They were excellent with my son (as always) and he was able to get his tooth back in the socket and splint it. This was the second time we had to have Dr. Kevin come in for an emergency appointment. The last time was on a holiday weekend. Again, no problems at all getting a hold of Dr. Kevin and getting in quickly. As someone who grew up being very afraid of the dentist, I'm so thankful that my kids have these wonderful dentists who truly care about their patients. read more

UPDATE (1/10/19) - Again, this is the absolute best place for your kids. We've been coming here for 4 years and we drive all the way from Long Beach just to have our three kids see Dr. Kevin and the staff. They are professional and the office is clean and set up in the most kid-friendly way with custom t.v.'s at each chair and a jungle forest-type decor. They give the kids a coin to put in a toy vending machine after they're done. The support staff is efficient and the front desk personnel helpful and accommodating. Dr. Kevin's rapport with the kids puts them at ease and he's probably the friendliest dentist you'll interact with for you and your kids. 5 stars. read more

Dr. Kevin and the whole staff is amazing here! We took our 2 year old here 6 months ago and again today and had great experiences both times. The office atmosphere is so fun for kids and they go above and beyond. When our son took a seat for the dentist he got to choose any show from Netflix to watch on his own tv, got a goodie back with a fun kids toothbrush/other essentials, and even got a gold token to use in one of their gumball-style machines filled with small toys! After a horrible experience with a pediatric dentist who insisted my daughter go under anesthesia for a crown because my daughter was fearful and shed a few tears. I felt uneasy about putting my 4 year old under so I wanted a second opinion and I am so thankful to have found Dr. Kevin. He placed the crown in his office on our first visit in less than 30 minutes. Of course my daughter had a few tears but she is fine and absolutely loves going to the dentist now. **REVISED** Thank you Dr Lee for taking time to reach out and make this situation right, we truly appreciate it and look forward to coming back for our son's dental needs. First of all, we were very happy with our actual office visit. Everyone was very friendly, informative, and professional. It was a great experience for my son. As a new client, when we made the appointment, we asked about being in-network with our dental insurance. We were told yes. 2 months later I received a significant bill for a cleaning and exam, including a sentence that this was a difference between fees and what insurance paid. Several phone calls later and I find out that this office is actually out of network for us, the contract expiring less than two months before. I was essentially told that it was our tough luck. This is very unfortunate because as new residents to Ladera we were excited to have such a great, local dental office. We even gave several referrals to friends, after being referred ourselves! So sad that a great local business needs to do business this way. read more

Took my kids last week and had a wonderful experience. The staff was SO great with my kids. Jo, our hygienist was patient and accommodating. My kids are 21 months and almost 3. My older one is very timid and stubborn. Jo was able to get her to cooperate and do a full cleaning. She even did X-rays. And NO Crying. I was amazed! My younger one loved that he could sit in the chair and watch a cartoon. He wasn't cooperative with the cleaning but the staff did what they could and didn't push it further. They really understand how to make it a positive experience and I'm grateful because I know my kids won't resist going back. read more

We were with our last pediatric dentist for over 10 years. He was great but his front office people could never get our billing correct. We eventually had enough and went through the hassle of finding a new dentist for our kids. Some friends recommended Ladera Ranch. We started going to them and never looked back. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist now, no joke! Both dentists are very friendly and soft spoken with the kids which keeps them calm. After a horrible experience with our last dentist we were filled with trepidation to begin acclimating my son (who has autism) to a new practice. From the moment we met Dr. Lee and Dr. Kevin our fears were put at rest. They both have the most amazing bedside manner with the kids, especially children with special needs. They made the experience so comfortable for my son he goes for cleaning without any sedation any more. They do an excellent job and are not looking to add procedures that are unnecessary. I couldn't be happier with a pediatric dentist. They always get us in right on time for wellness visits and even for urgent visits. The staff and doctors are very kind and patient with the kids. Every chair has a large TV with Netflix so they can watch what they want while they get their teeth cleaned. Our insurance completely covers all of our visits which is also a plus.
