I have been coming to this dentist with my twins for their dental routine cleaning for the past year and she is very pushy about x-rays. I have constantly told her I don't want X-rays until the age of 5 and she makes such a big deal about it although both kids are perfectly healthy, no signs of dental concerns and not the age I want to expose them to radiation but here we are again, pushing for X-rays. I asked why and the doctor said for decay and root canals! Dr.Tran has has an unprofessional temper she can't control, said she can't see the kids anymore if she doesn't have the X-rays .. I'm sure she really needs the business that badly. She should learn to listen and respect her patients and forget about trying to make money out of them. read more

Dr. Tran is so gentle, understanding, and kind while getting the (sometimes not-so-fun) job done. I like a dentist who explains everything, provides advice and options, recommends treatments but isn't too pushy -- Dr. Tran does all that and more! Not only is Dr. Tran great, but her office staff is super friendly and the hygienists all do a great job, too. My daughter was VERY nervous to get her first filling this morning. Dr. Tran showed incredible empathy, slowly explaining each step, and she did her absolute best to make my daughter comfortable. Dr. Tran has been our family pediatric dentist for a few years now! I have 3 kids that I take all at once and get them all cleaned and seen at the same time- so we spend less time in the office. The staff has always been so patient and caring when it comes to making sure my kids feel comfortable. Donna in the front is always there to help and make sure things run smoothly with whatever changes you might have as far as insurance or any medical changes. I would also like to add in that they are respectful if you decline fluoride treatment, and do not push you to try treatments unless they are necessary. I have a child with Autism, and we had less than pleasant experiences at other dental offices due to them not having patience or experience with kids with special needs. The staff has all worked through cleanings with my daughter who needs a lot of reassurance, extra time, understand that she moves a lot and might not be able to cooperate. We have done her cleanings as a team effort with Dr. Tran and I'm happy to say that now she is familiar with the way the clinic works, the staff and the environment that it has gotten easier for her to know what is expected at a visit. We have also done treatments under IV sedation for dental work needed. Dr. Tran and Donna have always throughly made sure I understand the treatment plan presented and always do what is needed. The anesthesiologist they work with is so wonderful and again they are so careful when it comes to medical conditions for treatment. Dr. Tran is soft spoken and gentle to make sure the kids have a wonderful experience each time! Donna is also bonus points in the front office!! Greets us every time we go in and makes sure she knows you feel welcomed! Ohh and they have Wi-Fin and a prize box for the kids! read more

Dr Tran and everyone in the office are amazing with my daughters. They are 5 and 9 and have been coming to Dr Tran for about 4 years. Unfortunately both my girls have had to have quite a bit of work on their teeth but they still love coming in to the dentist. They always make them feel comfortable. read more

My children have been going to Dr. Tran and Dr. Majard for several years now. My youngest had to have extensive dental work done, under anesthesia, at the age of three. It was unnerving to have to go through that with him, but Dr. Tran set me at ease. She cleared the morning calendar, had the anesthesiologist in the office and no other patients. She gave my boy her full time and attention and beautiful teeth! The dental care that my children receive from this office is top notch. They look forward to their cleanings, love the staff and even though they have had to go through difficult procedures at young ages, they still love and trust this dentist! The office is beautifully appointed and just right for kids. Plenty of parking, a bathroom in the office and multiple chairs if you have more than one child to be seen, they can have their appointments at the same time. There are books and toys to keep them busy in the lobby, and they can pick out a movie and watch it on the ceiling while they are being treated. They wear sunglasses to block the light and headphones to block the noise. The staff is wonderful about educating the children on good dental care in terms they can understand. After their visit they can make a trip to the treasure chest and they always get a goody bag. What more could you ask for??? Oh! They take all types of insurance and will work out a payment plan you can afford if your insurance isn't so great or you are a cash patient. This is the best pediatric dentist in town. Was nervous to bring my 16 month old in because I knew there would be some crying involved but the staff as well as Dr. Tran were beyond amazing and exceeded my expectations beginning with the very first phone call I made to the office. We recently moved to the area and had to find new dentist for my kids. I researched online and found Dr. Tran conveniently close and was in-network for our insurance. When I made the appointment, they took all the information and directed me to where I could fill out forms ahead of time. This saved SO MUCH TIME instead of doing it in the waiting area while trying to manage little ones! Donna who works in the office was so pleasant. I did not have to wait at any of the 5 appointments I've made over the past 2 months. My kids loved Dr. Tran! They have movies to watch during their visit and a video game station to keep the little ones busy while Dr. Tran reviews any suggested treatments. We were warmly greeted by Donna at the front desk, then greeted by the dental assistant Cinthia who brought us back and did the cleaning and X-rays. She was SO good with my boys. Her calm demeanor and sweet presence made this first experience one to remember. Dr. Tran came in and was just as sweet and accommodating. The process was quick, yet thorough. WORST DENTIST EVER!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. Took my son to see Dr. Tran some years ago because we lived in the area. He was left completely traumatized by the experience. For years we struggled with him to get comfortable and trust a dentist because of it. Finally! He now has a fantastic dentist who he is at ease with, and who was able to fix the work Dr. Tran was responsible for. She could be a good dentist, but in my opinion, shouldn't be working with young children. Go elsewhere! read more

We were referred to Dr Tran by another dentist. Let me start this review by saying we had a terrible, scarring experience with the referring dentist, which is why she sent us to a pediatric dentist. Dr Tran is the most wonderful, kind, caring and PATIENT dentist I have ever been to. If she did adult teeth, I would go to her!! She has done two cavities on my son (who had the bad experience) and one cleaning for my daughter. My son was very anxious, given his first experience with a dentist and Dr Tran made him feel completely at ease. My daughter now gets upset when she CAN'T go to the dentist! Needless to say, we love Dr Tran and her entire team. From Donna at the front desk, who listened to my complaints about the other dentist to Cynthia who is all smiles to Natalie who is so kind and Christie who makes the kids feel very relaxed. I have been taking my daughter (11 years old) to Dr. Tran for quite a few years. My daughter used to be so paranoid about going to the dentist but now she actually looks forward to her visits. Her cleanings are always fun and believe it or not her appointments to have fillings taken care of are always just as good. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and Dr. Tran will just tell you exactly what needs to be done...nothing more/nothing less. When my daughter fell off of her bike and chipped a chunk off of her front tooth, Dr. Tran matched the color and shape perfectly! Dr. Tran and her caring and attentive staff are awesome! Dr. Nhu Tran is a wonderful pediatric dentist. I took my daughter here for a routine cleaning and to set-up a filling that was obvious to me on her molar. I was so impressed by the calming nature of her back office staff. My daughter made herself right at home watching Frozen and relaxing in the comfy dental chair while Cynthia cleaned her teeth. Dr. Tran then diagnosed that indeed she would need a large filling. Dr. Tran took the time to explain to me in detail what would be involved and answered all of my questions. Donna in the front office worked with my schedule to get me a great appointment time. She then called me several weeks before the appointment to see if I would like to bring her in early. On the day of the filling everyone in the office put my husband and I at ease with their care. On every level Dr. Tran and her staff went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Dr. Tran and her wonderful office staff, so much so I will be scheduling my youngest daughter here for a cleaning. read more

Dr. Tran is hands down the THE BEST pediatric dentist I could have ever hoped find. My 3 yr old son has some advanced issues with all of his rear molars and they were breaking down and disintegrating. My wife and I were so apprehensive about having invasive dental work done with him at such a young age and we interviewed several highly recommended pediatric dentists in Orange County and the only on she felt comfortable with was Dr. Tran. My son had to go under general anesthesia for the procedure which took about 2-1/2 hours. She brought in Dr. Park who is a pediatric anesthesiologist and he was phenomenal as well. Dr. Tran was absolutely amazing and I would NEVER even consider taking my kids to anyone else. Dr. Tran will spend the time to thoroughly explain everything to you to make sure you are 100% comfortable before moving forward. Her office staff was top notch, her tech;s are awesome and they all worked so hard to make this process as easy and comfortable and possible. They worked hard to get pre-auth from my insurance carrier for as much of the work as possible and we knew exactly what payments we were facing the day of the procedure. I have never felt so comfortable and so confident in a doctor and especially under the circumstances of putting my 3yr old under general anesthesia. She is hands down THE BEST! read more
