I came here on a whim. Haven't been to the cleaners in quite some time and I needed some pieces fixed. I took in my dress and got a zipper replaced on my pants. $48! I said oh wow. $30 to fix the zipper and $18 to sew the side of the dress. I haven't been to the cleaners in decades so im not sure if this is the current price. My items were fixed correctly and cleaned, so that was nice. I will probably price other places first before going back. read more

Do not use this cleaners!!' Today I picked up some pants that were supposed to be hemmed 3". They were only hemmed 1" inch. Took them back. The woman at the counter today refused to acknowledge it was done incorrectly. She even pulled out the fabric that was cut and it was ONLY cut 1 inch. I asked for my money back since becuase I can't keep dealing with somone who is so rude and nasty. She refused to give it to me. And she refused to give me the fabric that was cut on my own pants that was cut incorrectly. I will NEVER use this cleaners again for anything. They basically stole $20. I guess they need money so they took mine and provided no service. She said someone name "Anthony" owns the business, well he's going to keep losing money with her at the front. I'm going to certainly share this with my Ladera Heights neighbors. I try to support neighborhood businesses, but some make it hard. read more

Got my designer linen pants dry cleaned, asked for them to re crease and the pants already had a crease so it would be easy...... BUT Tell me why instead of using the original crease, they established another crease?? The pants look tacky now, thanks?!?? Next day cleaning service is a must for a cleaners to get five stars for me. The attendant always remembers my name and as soon as she sees me walking-up - she is already looking for my clothes. The prices are not the cheapest, but they do a decent job. I have tried other cleaners on the area, but for one reason or another (not a good job, odd hours, high price or out of the way) - I don't go back. The parking lot they have is shared with the pizza place next door. However, their service is quick - so nobody parks there for extended period of time - so parking is never a problem. Poor customer service and false advertisement of services as it relates to consistency of hours of business and services particularly with alterations. The woman who answers the phones and handles the services is rude and condescending, and proceeded to argue stating that I could not be seen when I arrived for alterations before 11am and requested alteration services (Alterations 7:30-11am). I am very upset that my Givenchy shirt that I brought in to get a hole fixed underneath the armpit area days ago prior to a month long European trip that I needed to have this shirt for. I was told that it would be ready at 5pm on Saturday as I leave for my trip on Sunday. I picked up my order as usual. Not only was the original hole still in the armpit. There is now a hole double the size in the other armpit. I was told that I was Incorrect and that I did not bring it in to get repaired for the hole which is the only reason I brought in that specific item. I was a customer for over 15 years. My clothes were always fresh and clean. However, they have poor customer service when there's an issue with your clothes the owner does not like to take responsibility for destroying them. The owner basically blames you. On several occasions my alterations have been damaged and at times they reimbursed me and other times there's nothing that could be done. The problem is that they have a high turnover of seamstress so there's no accountability or consistency; one minute the work is excellent the next it's not. Hence, I am no longer a loyal customer I've moved on... It is a poorly run business with a staff that clearly makes up prices as they go. After using them for 1 week, here is my rationale in giving this advice: - There is zero customer service and very little consideration for deadlines (even for same day / next day). - They will never be proactive about informing you until you call them or visit their location. - There is never an offer for a discount even when items are returned uncompleted. I received a pair of dress pants without the pockets opened!!! They told me it would be an extra charge AFTER I prepaid. - The "tailor" only works from 10am-3pm!!!!!!! We have been going to Ladera Cleaners on Centinela for over 15 years. The problem I have is with CARLOS who does alterations. He charged me $70 to make 2 covers for my heat pad, out of material I provided. He made the covers too short, so that you could not close them at the bottom without scrunching up the heat pad. I took them back, showed him the problem and tried to negotiate with him to make new ones, but that I be given a discount, for re-doing them, even though he made the mistake. He flat out refused and told me they probably shrunk. I went to the front desk to lodge a complaint. I explained the situation and told the woman at the desk that I just wanted a discount and to not have to pay full price, for his mistake. The 3 of us had a brief conversation then she started talking to Carlos in Spanish, so I picked up my things and walked out and will never return, because that is totally unprofessional and rude. Been dropping my clothes off here for years. They are pretty consistent with cleaning and can usually get most the "mystery stains" off my clothes even when I don't know what they are myself. You see, I tend to wake up bleary eyed in random gutters/alley ways/truck stops/ homeless shelters and the first thing I do is stumble my way to Ladera Cleaners. I can't tell you how many times they managed to turn the biological disaster I hand over to them back into respectable clothes for me to destroy once again. From Japanese denim jeans to Super 150's Italian mill suits, Ladera Cleaners have been able to do save my clothes from my self destructive, borderline suicidal drinking binges. I have no idea what kind of cleaning chemicals they use back there, but any place that can remove that amount of bodily fluids mixed with glitter and lotion is going to be my "goto" cleaners until the day I die...which may not be very far off. PRO TIP #1: Even though you might not know what the stain is on your shirt, just make sure you point it out to the person at the counter taking your clothes. This is an average 3 star cleaners. I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2012. The staff is always friendly and it's pretty much always the same two ppl working. Be sure to call out any "stains" or else they won't get them out. Also, be sure to check any tailoring done before you leave the store bc I've actually paid to have them do something... Came home and saw they didn't do anything to it and had no problem taking my money. Luckily it was still on the hanger in the bag so I took it right back pointed it out and they said "the tailor must have overlooked it" . The only reason I gave 4 stars is that they have next day service with no extra charge. (Next day after 5pm so actually like next night service lol) I've never needed next day service but it's good to know they do it if I ever do. read more

This place is GREAT! I went in there today after being turned down buy three other cleaners with a blanket I have had since I was 3 years old.
