I was surprised to learn that military discounts were apparently offered at the discretion of individual store managers rather than as a company-wide policy. If that's the case, then shame on the Brick, NJ store for choosing to discontinue this benefit. Our veterans and active-duty service members sacrifice their time, miss important moments with their families, and put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. A small discount is a simple way to acknowledge and thank them for their service. While every business has the right to set its own policies, I believe supporting military members and veterans should be a priority. It's disappointing to see that recognition taken away.
