Ran by father and son, they made my buying experience for my first firearm very comfortable and highly informative! I have been back to the store from time to time for odds and ends that I wanted to pick up and at each visit these gentlemen were outstanding in their ability to help me get what I wanted! Absolutely outrageous they charge $42 for a $21 box of ammo!!! such a joke, way to take advantage of people.

Prices are inflated beyond rip-off pricing. This includes firearms, ammunition, and accessories. I should have done more research to have avoided being ripped off in such a manner. However, I was under the impression that most firearms shops would inform that the rifle I was about to purchase is that of the same family but is a different version. This is not what occurred at Pineland Sporting Goods. I purchased my first rifle here. This man knew I was a novice getting into the industry. He knew I had confused the rifle with a more premium rifle of the same family. When I rattled off the specs, it was "Yes, yes, yes. This is the rifle." Guy charged me $700 above MSRP knowing I was looking for the premium version of the manufacturer's rifle family. I was naive to think, as a newcomer, I could walk into a firearms store and receive proper guidance without being ripped off. I want anyone new and experienced to be wary of the business conduct and prices here. read more

Ordered a handgun from pinelands sporting goods web site. The site indicated 15 round mags. ( in the people's republic of New Jersey only 10 round mags are legal ). My assumption was that the store would pin the mags to 10 due to the law. Wrong assumption I was charged $20 for each mag. Two mags $40. ( mag blocker is $5 per mag). I Stated that the web site did not indicate an additional charge. The owner, Cirus, stated that I ordered from a national web site. What!....National web site?...No, I ordered from Pinelands web site. Also, charged me $50. NICS check is $16. So Cirus made profit on the gun and an additional $34. In an unrelated subject, I Asked Cirus about transferring handgun to my son. ( NJ requires no NICS check. Just a permit). Cirus stated the fee would be $60. I inquired about no NICS requirement for immediate family. At that point Cirus don't know. I should call NJ State Police. I would be careful doing business with this store. Has no customer relationship skills. Charges for everything. Will never do business with Pinelands Sporting Goods. read more

Purchased my first firearm at Pineland Sporting goods, I was a little nervous going to make the purchase but this was a great experience. The owner was extremely helpful and not condescending at all. He understood my lack of knowledge and was extremely helpful. This is a great place to purchase your first firearm. Went back this morning with my daughter to buy her first firearm and received the same treatment from a different sales person. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
