They offer additional training for CCW. The facility was recently renovated. All in all, I hope you give them a try. However, after becoming a member, my experience changed significantly. I began to notice that many basic activities and services come with additional fees that were not clearly communicated upfront. Charges for routine actions--such as drawing from a holster, even as a state-certified concealed carry permit holder or receiving assistance with equipment purchased on-site (like red dot alignment) created the impression that nearly every interaction carries an extra cost. My primary concern is centered on ROC Training. While the instructors themselves are knowledgeable and capable, the overall structure feels heavily geared toward generating additional revenue. Classes often include upselling, including solicitations from insurance representatives during breaks. Additionally, certain courses such as those related to concealed carry in constitutional carry states do not appear sufficient on their own, requiring participants to enroll in further classes at additional expense to meet application requirements. This lack of clarity and continuity is frustrating and, in my opinion, unnecessary. Ultimately, I chose to cancel my membership due to these concerns. The overall experience reflects a pricing model that prioritizes incremental charges over transparency and member value. Lastly, I would suggest that ROC leadership invest in business and customer relations training. The tone and delivery at times come across as pompous and dismissive, including repeated "we're from New York" rhetoric that many may find off-putting. When I spoke to Dawn on the phone she herself admitted to me that she was there that morning leaving at 8:20am to make sure to address anyone who would be coming to that class that was canceled. So if there was no problem in your scheduling why Was she there and instructed workers that were there to give that sort of information out to anyone who would show up.So all of the information that you have posted is not accurate to what happened. I hope that in the future you tell your customers the truth and disclose all information. I know when I scheduled my class online it reflected the same date that my friend signed up for as well. Don't try to cover up something that you know went terribly wrong with your company. If you own a company I would hope that you would keep your customers happy and work out something to keep them happy. Under the circumstances was not offered a refund or even a reschedule date. What I am more upset about is the principal about how this was all handled. Apparently the company is so money hungry that they can't give it back it's customer $175 refund. Very sad. Also how much does a manual actually cost I don't think it cost anywhere near $30 and a certificate you probably just print out from some computer in the office, you can put that one passed me. Food is probably just catered from a local food company and you always have extra. I know how your class runs I've known about it before so don't tell me that you spend all this money and preparation for me to show up to the class because in actuality you made money on me by "no show" . Don't try to re-iterate your policy it's not about your policy it's about the fact that your website had the incorrect date on it when I registered. Then until now, have been a lot of follow up email attempts to no avail, phone attempts where it is difficult to get ahold of anyone, with both Norton and one particular employee probably assigned these responsibilities. I paid for my remaining tuition as soon as I was notified I was awarded a partial scholarship. This was a big mistake, as once you do, they send over "material" (a ten page document and the pdf version of a textbook) via email. Thus, because I was emailed these "materials", (and not the actual physical version since they were not in stock apparently) 650 dollars was non refundable, in addition to the standard 250 non refundable fee. Of the 1600 I paid, I'm STILL waiting to get the 950 back. Should I reconsider taking my certification down the line, it will DEFINITELY not be with them. They "offered" full value of what I paid should I decide to attend a future training, but I absolutely refuse and at this point, accept that loss of 650 so I can just move on (if they ever refund my money).
