This is my first time here! My first ever brewery ! Labyrinth Brewing Company began in a crowded garage on a cold autumn Thursday night. It was just a typical brew-club meeting until lightning struck, the planets aligned, and galaxies collided. Long-time friends decided to jump head-first into their dream of owning a craft brewery in the beautiful historic district of Manchester, Connecticut and Labyrinth Brewing Company was born. [1] Pilot Lite Lager Lager - American Light 3.3% ABV A crushable light lager with 100 calories per 12oz serving. Very good! Light and not very strong. "Crushable" means easy to slam it down! [2] Pilot Cosmo Sour Sour - Other 3.3% ABV This cosmo-inspired experimental brew is tart with a refreshing combo of cranberry & lime. Yummy ! It goes well with a Cosmopolitan! [3] The Maize Cream Ale 5.4% ABV For our light beer drinker friends, The Maize has a slight sweet corn character & just a hint of honey . It's a crisp lawnmower beer . Nice. Very slight corn taste and a touch of honey . This is something you drink on a "lawnmower" or after you mow the lawn . [4] Turbo Love Juice IPA - New England / Hazy 6.5% ABV Inspired by one of our favorite metal gods, TLJ is hopped with citra, cascade, loral & ekuanot hops. This pineapple -orange tropical blast has restrained bitterness and a creamy mouthfeel. "Restrained" (not hoppy?) bitterness. Interesting...Very good ! This is more my style ! Stronger and cloudy. Not too bitter. [5] Helios IPA - American 6.5% ABV This double dry hopped IPA is perfect for a sunny day. Bitterness meets aromas of tropical fruit, grapefruit, over-ripened berries & pine. Yeah. This is very good ! Nice fruit aromas! Fruit and "pine." An interesting combination. [6] Don't Break the Oats IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy 8.2% ABV As a being now possessed of an oat filled body. In this world I swear to give my full allegiance to this hop filled master. By these names: Idaho 7, Centennial, Sitiva I will crush this beer ! Very good ! The stronger, the better! [8.2% ABV] Double IPA Tonight is WWE trivia night! I'm going for the WWE Trivia Championship Title! [7] Farmhouse Ale - Bière de Garde 7.6% ABV A blonde version of this traditional style with bready malt character, slight sweetness and medium body. Restrained hops lend a slight aroma and flavor from Hallertau Blanc and Perle. Additional clove and banana character from this particular Belgian yeast strain. Yummy ! This might be my favorite so far! [8] Belgian Tripel 9.2% ABV A lighter colored tripel with a very similar bready malt character as the Bière de Garde but with a lighter body and slight alcohol warmth. Using the same Belgian strain as our Quad this yeast produces more restrained phenolic character than found in the Belgian Pale Ale and Bière de Garde. Wow ! This is fantastic! [9] Belgian Quadrupel 10.2% ABV The muscles from Brussels of Belgian beers with a bready backbone and notes of dark fruits. Finishes dry but with a slight sweetness. Aged in former Malbec barrels accentuating the dark fruit character while adding toasted oak notes and tannins associated with red wine. Yummy ! Sweet! [10] Mr Dunkel Lager - Munich Dunkel 5.3% ABV Mr. Dunkel is a traditional German Munich Dark Lager crafted using old school brewing techniques, German malts and hops, and some new school flair. While Dunkel means dark don't let the name fool you. Mr. Dunkel is an easy drinking lager with bready flavors and a malty sweetness similar to caramel and toffee. Malt forward with low hop character and a slightly dry finish wraps this beer up into an easy drinking package. Prost! Nice! Easy to drink. [11] Wail of the Banshee Scottish Export Ale 5.4% ABV Wail of the Banshee reads with a subtle caramel sweetness and a hint of butterscotch. Very good ! Not strong but a little butterscotch is in there. [12] Freezing Moon 2022 Stout - Imperial / Double 11% ABV Aged in bourbon barrels, this elixir will warm you when the icy clutches of the hibernal night grip your soul like a frozen nightmare. Follow the call. Follow the Freezing Moon . Well, I can in last place in the trivia and got the consolation prize (a snack pack)! Delicious ! Sweet and strong ! What an awesome place!

The place was beautiful, they had an awesome DJ last night. wish more people would come to dance but i do enjoy the small crowd. Lots of board games to play which was awesome. The bartender was fantastic, and the frozen espresso martini was to die for! I just wish they turned the heaters off on the patio. It was a gorgeous night and the heaters made it almost impossible to be outside

First visit to Labryth! I was impressed by the amounts of sours and ciders they had on tap. I ordered the Cherry Pie sour and it was so good - tasted just like cherry pie filling! It was pretty packed so we weren't here long, but was able to find a table to hang out for a little. Best part is they're dog friendly inside. There were so many well behaved dogs inside, it was great! Staff was super friendly and even brought out a water bowl for her.

Labyrinth Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Manchester, Connecticut in August 2018. It was founded by friends Adam Delaura, Chris Walnum and Sean Gama. Walnum and Gama met through the Manchester school system, while Delaura met them through mutual friends and interests. The three began homebrewing and eventually they decided to open their own brick and mortar brewery. The location picked was a former waste silk warehouse: part of a compound of buildings that used to be the historic Cheney Brothers silk mills. Today, most of the buildings have been converted into apartments. The three partners quit their day jobs and spent nearly two years converting the space into their brewery and taproom. The name "Labyrinth" was chosen as a reference to their journey towards creating a new business and creating good beer. They like to think of the space as a coffee shop, except that they serve beer instead of coffee. Today, Delaura and Gama are the only owners of the brewery. I visited Labyrinth Brewing for the first time this past Friday while I was cycling the network of bike trails in the Greater Hartford area. I visited a few breweries that day and Labyrinth was my second stop. I really liked the surrounding area: the Cheney Brothers National Historic Landmark District. There were lots of beautiful old buildings. As soon as I walked into the brewery, I was recognized by some of their staff for my blog work. Labyrinth's staff were so hospitable and friendly and they made me feel right at home. I loved the interior with all of the exposed brick and industrial lighting; it was very cozy inside. Amanda, the tasting room manager, introduced herself to me and answered all of my questions. I started out with a sampler flight of six beers which included "Sour Batch 1" (Blood Orange Raspberry Sour Ale), "Turbo Love Juice" (New England IPA), "Man Cave" (Brown Ale), "Wail of the Banshee" (Scottish Export Ale), "Belgian Quad Aged in Malbec Barrels", and "Kuato" (Imperial Red Ale). I was VERY impressed with all of their offerings. Although I tend to prefer IPAs, it was the last three beers of the flight that really caught my attention. I ended up purchasing bottles of the Belgian Quad and "Freezing Moon" (Barrel Aged Stout) to take home. I had a fantastic visit to Labyrinth and look forward to coming back soon!

Labyrinth brewing is simply a"maze"ing! Tl:dr Excellent beer, cider, and sours for great prices and a vibrantly homey atomosphere! The indoor area sports a rustic yet vibrant setting surrounded by lights and wooden furniture that was handcrafted by the owners! The outdoor section is perfect for hot summer evenings. (Note: the outdoor section closes one hour early to accommodate local noise codes.) (Note: Pets are allowed as long as they are quiet.) The service was attentive. They were timely and were able to help with some recommendations from the menu. Great prices for this high caliber of craft brew! Their menu is filled all types of beer, sours, and ciders. Now for the drinks: Overall the drinks were the perfect amount of hoppiness for me. Just a nice tingle on the tongue. The brand new Starburst Blonde ale was light with notes of fruit and a floral aroma. The perfect summer drink! The raspberry cider was rich and bursting with raspberry and grape notes. There was a distinct aroma of olive which was surprisingly provided and uniquely rich combo of taste and aroma! My guest had the Still Alive sour. They noted that it was delicious! I will definitely be coming back to try their ever evolving menu. Follow them on social media to find out what the latest brews are! @labyrinthbrewing on most social channels.

I was super excited to visit Labryinth during its opening weekend. They had 7 beers on tap. Each were available as full pours or sample price. (Growlers start next week.) The beers were definitely solid. My favorite was their lime gose with coriander and juicy Helios. Their rapsberry wheat also was nice and with a little pepper. It's a very nicely-designed brewery in an old industrial building, I believe. There's nice use of wood and cool windows you can peep into to see the brewing area. The bartenders did a good job with the bar area and keeping the beer flowing. You can bring in outside food.

Alicia was a great waitress. Had drinks with a few friends tonight. Not a beer drinker. Wasn't sure what to order. Alicia brought out 3 tasters. The cider and beer I had were great. Facilities were clean and there was a diverse segment of the population. Definitely going back.

Labyrinth Brewery in Manchester is a beautiful space. I've gone here many times through the years. The space is inviting with various lights inside, and outside during the warmer months. There are a few different seating options, at the bar, couch and tables. Sometimes they have live music playing. I love the art they have displayed across the space, they even have paintings on the ceiling. It truly goes well with the vibe of the brewery and is very unique. This brewery doesn't offer any food, they sometimes have a food truck, or you can bring food from another source and enjoy it here. My big problem however, is the selection of beer is very underwhelming. I think I enjoyed it much more in the previous years. Today when I went they were out of the "Cherry in the Middle", which is a good cider. They don't offer any sours, this is very disappointing to me, because that's my favorite type of beer, but I suppose not every brewery makes what I like best. Honestly, it was difficult to pick something for a drink here, they have mostly ciders and IPAs, I prefer ciders in the summer and IPAs are not for me. It's not a great idea for me to get a flight here, as I had a hard time choosing one beer yet alone five. I finally got Raspberry Mochatron. This is a milk stout it's very rich of chocolate and coffee, I couldn't taste raspberry at all. I drank it, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I was also really hungry while we were here, they don't offer any food and there was no food truck. There are some small bags of chips and pretzels. I got a little bag of Drunk Alpaca chips, this is nice since it's a small business of chips that's usually sold in breweries. The bag was only 3 ounces and it was $4. Honestly the chips are just fine, I just needed something to snack on. Labyrinth was very busy tonight. It is dog friendly, I love playing with the puppies when I see them. The service was quick and attentive. I'm underwhelmed by the selection of beers and the availability. As much as the vibe inside is a lot of fun, I wouldn't come here for a while until their selection improves.

We absolutely fell in love with Labyrinth! From the logo and beer names to the awesome staff, this place had it all. A fantastic vibe and so many puppies!!! Pet friendly beyond the normal pet friendly place with dogs on couches, staff giving love to them and water bowls everywhere. A very comfortable setting, seating and tables are roomy. They have cozy windows that peek into the brew room which I adore. My sister described it as industrial but very chic. The front steps are designed in a great way to also serve as a loading dock as needed. The purple bathroom color is a perfect color, I love purple. Also, the beer was actually amazing!! Milk Sickle was my favorite and I don't even really like IPAs. We also enjoyed Hesperia IPA and Man Cave for my husband. The names are so creative and the logos for each beer is art. They also had wine and ciders on tap, soda and a food truck. Great brewery!!

Location: pretty good. Hear of Manchester. Parking: found a few but we came almost at closing. Beer: some more varieties of IPA will be good. Couldn't find much citra hops, they didn't have the DIPA so missed the citra hops. But overall not bad. Loved the Cerberus. Seating: lot of seating so good place to hang out. Music: little loud but there was a live DJ. Some people liked it some didn't in our group, personally I think it's okay. They have Guest WIFI as well. Quite spacious and great hangout place. Definitely great addition to Manchester We missed the food truck but they have food trucks as well. So I would say great place for hangout.

Ask the Community - Labyrinth Brewing Company

Is there any sort of outdoor seating?

Things have changed since this was asked/answered. Quite a long time ago, actually. Yes, they now have outdoor seating. I'll add a photo shortly that I lifted from their social media page.

    Dog friendly brewery?

I've seen dogs there, but I'd suggest leaving them home during the busy hours... the place can get pretty packed.

This place is HUGE and has so many different vibes all in one building, which I absolutely love. The drink selection is one of my favorite parts. They have so many beers on tap, plus cider flights, sour flights, beer flights -- all different types of flights if you're like me and enjoy trying a little bit of everything. And if beer isn't your thing, they have cocktails too, so everyone in your group can find something they like. The food is just as impressive. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are AMAZING -- crispy, flavorful, and honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The burgers are delicious, and the desserts? Oh my goodness. The deep-fried Oreos are next-level. Atmosphere is where Elicit really stands out. There's the big open beer hall feel inside, but also different sections depending on what kind of night you're looking for. It can be chill and casual earlier in the evening, then turn into more of a going-out/club vibe later on. There's a cocktail bar upstairs, and as the night goes on the energy really shifts. In the summer they have bands (sometimes outside), a full outdoor bar, a fireplace, two inside bars, a little quieter lounge area with couches, and even a small game room. Bathrooms upstairs and downstairs make it convenient, and you can rent rooms for private parties too. I also like how the food ordering works -- they give you a pager and you pick up your food when it's ready. Tables are first come, first serve though, so definitely save your spot because you can lose your seat if you're not careful, especially on busy nights. It does get packed on weekends, so I recommend getting there early if you want a good table for your group. But overall, it's one of my go-to spots in Manchester when I want good drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll keep going back to -- and those Philly cheesesteak egg rolls will always bring me back.

So I was super excited when I saw they were hosting a galentines day drag brunch !! The drag show was amazing !!! But I was disappointed that there was no BRUNCH food . You can't have a brunch show and no brunch . They did offer a regular menu to order from . The other problem is that there were no servers so we had to order food and go downstairs pick up our own food and. Then bring it back upstairs... which is very annoying if you are going there for a show and have to leave to get food ! Not to mention there was an issue doors were suppose to open at 10 am so we got there early to get seats settle in and order food . However the doors open well after 10:30 . And possibly an issue with the bartenders ( not being available) but they were able to figure that out thankfully by the 11 am show . So a lot of issues .. the show itself was amazing . The food was okay . I did end up getting the grilled chicken sandwich which was good ( nothing amazing ) and the fries were plain no seasoning . 3/5 for the food . The drinks were good ! I ordered the strawberrry Hugo spritz that had elderflower in it which I really enjoyed all flavours were balanced equally (4/5 ) and then I tried the peach hard palmer which I was not a fan off (3/5 ) Drag show 10/10 ! ( highly recommend ) I wish they advertised it a just a drag show and not a brunch + show ( since there was no brunch options ) ! And also a very limited Valentine's Day cocktails ( only one option of a red velvet martini) Overall fun event but need to plan events better if they do plan on hosting and consider adding food specific for the event ( or not advertise as brunch .. if you don't plan on offering brunch food ) !

Great burger, not so great tacos…read more Learned that Catsup and Mustard's chef decided to make a new place tied with urban lodge. I'm always down for a good burger, and catsup was one of the best burgers around. So I made the trek to this locale to relive the greatness. Place is a little walk-up order place. Like a roadside snack shack or a ice cream shop. You put your order in, you get a marker, and a server comes out to deliver your meal. We ordered their Diablo burger, some truffle fries, and one of all their tacos. Knew the burger was going to be good, figured the tacos would be too. They were not, at all. The fish taco smelled very fishy and was underseasoned. So you got this smelly soft fish and chewy taco shell and that's about it. The chorizo taco was more like sweet Italian sausage with no flavor. With the same chewy shell. The cilantro lime chicken taco, the chicken was dry and the bang boom sauce was more of a rice Krispy snap crackle and pop. No punch, very little heat. The mister mack was the best of the bunch, with flavors similar to a cheeseburger. Still a chewy shell, but a good bite. The burger and fries were stellar. The Diablo burger was spicy and juicy, tons of toppings and a very thick patty. Bun was soft, toasted, and everything worked together harmoniously. The truffle fries were fresh cut, soaked, double fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The truffle was pronounced but not overpowering, and the basalmic catsup and truffle mayo were great dips. If you stick to the burgers, there's lots to love. Avoid the tacos, but the burgers are still really good.

However, we unfortunately ordered the tacos. One of each to try (I love tacos) And all four tacos were not good. Flavors were just not there. Nothing was seasoned, loved the idea of the cheese between the shells, but honestly the execution just made everything chewy. The fish smelled very fishy - which is never good and definitely wasn't blackened - even though it was supposed to be. So tacos - 2 star. However, overall I am definitely going back. Hopefully order something else on the menu and it will be amazing. Great casual atmosphere to hang with some friends. And I am sure the brewery is amazing too!!! The beer was very good and the service was courteous. The only negative on the night was that they didn't have any merch for sale - no glasses or hats or tees - which is very odd. Not sure if that was temporary or they just don't bother. Anyway, if you go there, you should have a nice time.

It was founded by business partners Chip Glanovsky and head brewer Jim Wilfinger. Friends since high school, the two partners began brewing their own beer using fresh fruit and natural ingredients. Eventually, they had a dream of opening their own brewery. In 2018, they registered their brand as "Blind Faith Brewing Company, LLC". On paper, they are still known under that name. However, sometime before their brick and mortar brewery opened in 2022, they discovered that Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing Company had already copyrighted the name "Blind Faith" for an English IPA of theirs. Needing a new name quick, Chip and Jim settled on "Almost Famous" in reference to the 2000 film directed by Cameron Crowe. The name is also meant to honor all people who almost got famous but didn't in the end. I recently visited Almost Famous for the first time. I immediately loved the space. It's very spacious with a large taproom, plenty of seating, a private event room, a billiards room, and a classic arcade room. I also loved the Rock 'n' Roll theme that was going on. The bar was built to resemble Marshall amplifiers, truss towers, and the tap handles were all different guitars. I started off with a sampler flight that featured "Anything's Impossible" (American Pilsner), "Tangent" (Tangerine Fruited Sour), "Stranger Than Fiction" (Cream Stout), "Everybody Wants Some!" (Pineapple Vanilla Bean Milkshake IPA) and "Bitch 'B' trippin" (Double New England IPA). The latter two were my favorites. Afterwards, I enjoyed a full pour of "Bubblegumption" (Bubblegum Milkshake IPA). Overall, I had a great experience at Almost Famous. I would love to return with my family in the future; my sons will love the arcade!

I loved the aesthetic of the two rooms we were in. Although the decorations were brought by the party for the event, you could still tell the space had great bones. I loved the hanging pothos from the ceiling rods. The food was delicious, although a bit run of the mill. I did not drink but I heard others raving about the selection of beer. I'd definitely come back in the warm weather and see what it's about on a casual day.

Doyle works in the financial services industry, but had wanted to open his own brewery for a number of years. A friend introduced him to Dee: a homebrewer with an education background in biomedical science. Atkins, a huge craft beer fan, came on board for the project after Doyle and Dee started getting serious about opening their own brewery. A logo, business plan, and financing were put together. Although the brand was founded in 2015, it took nearly two years to find the right location. In 2017, New Park opened at The Shops at 485 New Park: a former ball bearings factory turned multi-media venue. New Park's mission is to offer consumers the highest quality beverages and experiences that they possibly can. In recent years, the brewery has also begun producing intervention wines, heirloom cider, and sourdough pizza in addition to their artisanal brews. I first visited New Park Brewing in March 2018, when they had just turned a year old. I was very impressed from that first visit and they quickly became one of my Top 5 favorite Connecticut breweries. I recently visited the taproom for the second time ever. I had heard that they started crafting artisanal sourdough pizza pies in recent years and wanted to try them paired up with their excellent beer. I love the whole industrial design vibe that's going on inside the taproom. Since my initial visit, the brewery has also since added an outdoor biergarten and an indoor private event space with a stage and bar (dubbed "The Green Room"). I started off with a short pour of one of my go-tos: "Cloudscape" (IPA). It's delicious, hazy, and full of citrus and tropical fruit notes. For pizza, I ordered the "Soppressata" (red sauce, fior di latte, mozzarella, soppressata, red onion, goat cheese, honey, grana padano) and the "Chef Special" (pecorino cream, fior di latte, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic glaze, grana padano). To pair with them, I ordered a sampler flight which featured "Little Cloud" (IPA), "Steppe" (Barrel-Aged Saison), "Elmwood" (Dry Cider), and "Double Cloud" (Double IPA). Between the stellar brews and the heavenly pizza, I was in pure bliss! There's a reason why New Park is one of my favorite Connecticut breweries; I hope to be back again and again!
