The Yelp reviews closely mirror my experience. I initially spoke with Lloyd, who came to my home to assess the items. I pointed out several fragile pieces, and he assured me that his team would wrap them, including a jewelry stand, vases, and pictures. He provided a quote for $702.50, and we scheduled the move for August 14 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. At 10:24 a.m., I texted to ask for an updated arrival time and received a response of ten minutes. The movers arrived at 10:55 a.m. Once they began, the process appeared to be going smoothly. While they were packing the truck, I was transporting boxes in my car to the destination. After they completed the move and began unloading, I returned to my home and discovered that several items had been left behind. When I notified them, they stated they could not take the vases and pictures because they were not packed. I reminded them of my conversation with Lloyd, and I also pointed out a bench that had been left in the dining room. They then agreed to return for the remaining items. While unloading, I witnessed one mover attempt to place my dining table on a dolly without wrapping it. The table rolled off, and the leaf fell out. I took photos. When I addressed this with the lead mover, he suggested repairing it with wood glue, which was unacceptable. At the end of the job, I was charged $897.00 and informed that they accept only cash, Cash App, or Zelle, which prevents any credit card dispute. I contacted Lloyd regarding the damaged table, the items left behind, and the lack of proper wrapping. He stated he was not aware of the damage and later claimed he had fired the movers because they were using his business to start their own. When I inspected my storage unit, I found the items packed in an unsafe and poorly organized manner, with heavy items stacked on top of unstable pieces. My mattress and bedframe were placed at the front, and other items were at risk of tipping over. Lloyd agreed the unit was poorly packed and came with his daughter to help me get to some boxes that were stacked very high. also showed him the condition of my sofa and bedframe, which were only partially wrapped, resulting in dirt on the sofa. When I sent photos of the damage, Lloyd did not mention filing a claim. Instead, he offered to pay out of pocket but said he could not do so immediately due to family issues. After giving him thirty days, he sent $200 through Zelle and stated that no further reimbursement would be provided. Although Lloyd was polite, he consistently avoided accountability and offered multiple excuses. Based on my experience, I do not recommend AMEN Movers. The lack of care, inconsistency, and overall inconvenience outweighed any benefit of supporting a local business. Of course you see a one star because I had to but definitely Zero stars. I received a response to my voicemail in under an hour and scheduled a move for two days later. I received a text when the movers were on their way. The workers were prompt, polite, and professional. Sometimes movers can be creepy! The workers were careful with my items yet they moved extremely quickly. They moved me from a 2 bedroom 2 bath to a 3 bedroom 2 bath in less than 4 hours. Honestly, I am in disbelief that these lean men got my job done with ease plus I'm on the second floor in both places. Oh how I love to support my Black Owned businesses and not feel disappointed! I highly recommend 60/40 for commercial or residential moves. I asked a question to the movers and the level of integrity that came along with the answer is unmatched. I wasn't charged hidden fees or extra for a second floor apartment which others companies up charge for the slightest thing. My movers were Matthew and Andre definitely ask for them because they work fast and hard. I am overly pleased with my experience with 60/40. Thanks I'm telling my family and friends to use you for all of their moving needs. Honestly if I could rate them above a 5 star I would.

Per their request, I agreed to the next day at 8am. Here it is almost 10:30am. I've left a message and texted several times only to be ignored. My keys were due in my current place today so now I have to find a new mover during a holiday weekend or miss work on Monday to move and pay per day that I'm occupying the unit. I've done so much business with this company to be treated so poorly. Very disappointing and disheartening. This setback will cost me thousands. I would not recommend their services.

I was supposed to get my delivery on a Saturday that it turned into a Monday that turns into a hostage situation with our belongings, and then it turns to delivery will be on Friday afternoon and then it turned into Friday 5 to 6 PM and then into Friday 8- 9 PM and then it turned into these things happened and I'm really sorry but it won't be there until tomorrow, Saturday at 10 AM. Upon pick up of our delivery, they asked for a tip before delivering all items across the state. And just in case you're wondering, I have receipts to all of these items that include email and text. Please please please save yourself the hassle. They would even try to be nice to you and lore you in with a little coupon. I had to filed a complaint with the US Department of transportation

So I had them move me into a townhouse, but when I got there didn't like the place so decided to not move in. Asked them to move the stuff back out once I found a new house. Owner gave me an amount, and I paid, then he called later and said his calculations were off, and requested more money, I paid it immediately. So the next week I hired and had them move me again. A few things broke, a few things got scratched but I really wasn't stressing it. Until they broke my wine refrigerator and then they cracked one of the TVs. It took him a week to respond, now imagine me doing that to him. So then he says reach out to the insurance company through the truck and they should handle it. So I do that and when the insurance company reached out to him he changed his story. So I said OK that's fine I'll come back to him and get his insurance company to pay for the damages and he avoiding me again for another week until I threaten to sue him and then he turned into a tough guy. I'll just take him to court. I'd never again use them. He is absolute trash.

Run, don't walk away from this totally unprofessional & incompetent moving company…read more We booked Roma for Saturday June 18th. Arrival time was supposed to be between 9-10am. I received a phone call from Alex at 7:43am, informing me that they had a couple call outs the night before, and they would have to cancel our move that day. He informed me they could do the move Monday, and asked if that would work for us. I said no, that Sunday would be acceptable. Alex informed me he would forward that information to the office and someone would be in touch. That was the last I heard from anyone at this company. I tried to reach out to him on Saturday evening to ask if they were going to be able to move us Sunday, and got zero response. Moving is a large stressful ordeal as it is, get a real professional moving company instead of dealing with these clowns. Their contract totally covers their ass with regard to the customer canceling, but offers no protection for the customer when and if they totally dissappear on you. Everything we own was packed and ready to go for our Saturday morning move, and we are left to try to find another company, on very short notice, to move us ASAP because of Alex and Roma Movings total incompetence, and lack of professionalism. Read the other bad reviews and sprint away from this company. At least they were never able to destroy our personal belongings like all the other bad reviews have stated.

However, things got a bit clunky after that... the day before the move I was called to confirm the foreman would call me to tell me he was 30-minutes out. (Fair enough). The day of the move... the window I was supposed to expect them came and went - no call, no nothing. I was meeting them at a location, so that was a bit strange. I called and that guy was fine saying he'd call the foreman, but then he hung up and I never heard from him again. Eventually the foreman called very apologetic (I appreciated that) and noted he had folks out due to covid, etc. but had one guy on the way and he'd call me again). The move ultimately started 1-hour late. Fine. I wasn't happy, but I didn't hold it against the guy - I was grateful for the help. They did a decent enough job loading the truck of 3 large pieces of furniture.... however, when we got to the final destination it was obvious they had dinged things and scratched quite a bit. (I MEAN A LOT)! The guest mover guy blatantly scratched the side of my desk with his belt and looked at me in hopes that I wouldn't notice. Oh - I noticed. It was BAD. This same guy was clearly smoking in the car ride too...... (and I don't mean cigarettes). Again, FINE - but a 2-hour move cost me a minimum $$ and they scratched the heck out of the furniture. I got a deal on the purchase, so I neglected to make a big deal out of it, not to mention I just sensed they'd get super defensive and I wasn't interested in the battle on a Sunday. Just proceed with awareness. If you have fine items or furniture you don't want dinged, you may want to look elsewhere, if you want a basic, affordable move? these guys are just fine. The foreman gets the credit, he did his best - he was professional and certainly courteous but the whole experience left me less than "over the moon". We've had great movers - but you PAY for them.
