Todd asked me a few questions over the telephone and said he was very busy but it sounded like it was something he could squeeze in the next morning so I wouldn't have to go without power. He showed up exactly on time and immediately put me at ease. The problem turned out to be a bit trickier than originally guessed but he worked quickly and calmly and had it solved and fixed within the hour. His professionalism and calm intelligent manner was very welcome in a stressful moment and I was very impressed with his quality work. While he was there I asked him for a quote so I could knock a few things off of my homeowner wish list. He gave me a fair price and we agreed on a time for his return. I am incredibly happy with the new work he has done for me. I added a few convenience features along the way and Todd helped me to shop the quality products I wanted. Half my front lawn was absolutely destroyed and I had to nag them for weeks to finally remove trash, debris, and the giant pile of dirt they left. I still have some of their debris left in what remains of my driveway. I am still waiting for the actual invoice or any documentation I requested over a month ago. I can say that they were fast about one thing; every time they called me with another price increase, they had charged my credit card in less than 15 minutes.

Their employee, Finn, came out and diagnosed the problem, but because the next day was Christmas, Quinn and his assistant, Skyver, came back on December 26. They pulled the well pump, replaced it and fixed the outdated wiring. They were professional, friendly, got the job done quickly, cleaned up after themselves for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Quinn's, and will call them for any of my future plumbing needs.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with. We purchased a new Wood burning fireplace, one of their…read moremost expensive, for our home and when they did the site visit, they did not measure correctly which we did not know until months later and construction had proceeded to the point of no return. When the unit arrived, they could not run the chimney under a beam that was always existing and known. It was also, apparently, on the drawing and despite them being a dealer for Regency they had zero understanding of how to install or the requirements for the fireplace. Long story short, I had to figure out the solution and did get it to fit, but Dave threw a grown man tantrum and decided to breach the install contract. In the end, he screwed up, refused to take 2 hours to come to our site and work out some details with the other contractors who were helping to fix their mistake, refused to accept responsibility for his mistake and then refused to refund money for equipment (chimney) that he did not supply. We are currently taking legal action because he will not provide the refund for the chimney despite the emails we have where, he offered to. It is ok because we have actually spent over $50,000 on additional HVAC, fireplaces and other contracts with their competitor Northern Energy Systems, who are real professionals, because they did not want to try to help get the job done. The new company we hired (to complete the installation of the fireplace they couldnt figure out how to install) thru Home Hardware in North Bay, were excellent and were able to solve the Chimney issue with very little extra effort. Dave's Heating just simply took zero time and effort to try and resolve the issue other than offering a refund...which they eventually did not follow thru with and ended up ripping us off $3k. I was also happy to spend extra money on construction changes to make the fireplace work. It boiled down to this entire conflict occurring because Dave would not come to the site, AT MY COST, to meet with the general contractor, to come up with a solution. Dave is a sad excuse for a business owner and an arrogant and selfish human being. I am sure the good reviews are for regular smooth contracts, but be warned, if things do not go his way or there is some situation where they make a mistake, they will rip you off and look out for themselves. I try to give out contracts to local companies being from the North, but this company belongs in the big city. We highly recommend Northern Energy Systems in Mattawa and North Bay Home Hardware instead of this company.
