We used Stanley's for a very difficult septic tank repair. To make it even more difficult it needed to be repaired in the dead of winter here in Maine. The repair was completed promptly, but due to frozen ground, large mounds of frozen dirt were left in you yard and across our walkway. Once the frost and freeze situation went away, with one phone call, Mr Stanley and his son came back within one week and regraded, replaced and even improved our walkway and the rest of the site. They came with a smile on their face on a Saturday to finish the job. I commend their fine work, and their professional attitude. I would recommend them to anyone for septic issue repairs! read more

I just had them empty my septic tank. About an hour ago :) This guy was very nice, very quick and helped me with some very good hints and tips on a septic system. I had only uncovered the main cover he showed me where the other covers were and helped me uncover them. He went above and beyond the call of duty and I will be calling them again. I will recommend them to my friends. It's a dirty job and someone's got to do it, they do it well and with a great attitude. Price was quoted over the phone and there were no extra charges. Reliable, helpful and very trust worthy - this family business is the best in the septic business. I totally recommend them.

We have used them to empty our septic tank 2 times before we had them replace the line form the house to the tank. I admired the younger brother's work ethics so I stuck with them to do the work. First, I was not impressed with his (the older brother) communication skills and his work ethics, I felt like I was dealing with a con-artist from the start. Second, while digging up the septic line he broke the sump pump line and he agreed to fix/replace it. He did replace it but he also charged us for his mistake. Third, we were charged more than normal for emptying our septic tank on Sunday. When questioned about this, he stated that the additional charge was for work on Sunday when he normally doubles the price. This was never stated on paper or verbally until billing time. Fourth, when it was billing time he asked to verify the name on the credit card, so I gave it to him. He went and put charges on the credit card before I agreed to them or seen the itemized slip. The bill came out to about the amount I expected, so I didn't argue that point either. I'm not sure if I would call them again to empty the septic tank, I do not feel comfortable with their level of service anymore. read more

My review is not so much with actual service but with customer service. We had Stanley's pump and inspect our tank in Maine, we live in South Carolina so it was all done by phone. I called when it was finished for a report and to pay over the phone. I have called twice and asked for a receipt and a copy of the report, both times I was told it would be sent. The first time was a day after the work was done more than 6 months ago and the second time was 2 days ago. I called again but all the phone did was ring, no message. read more
