On Jan 4th 2021 I went to the closest Lab for a blood draw which was in Seaside. During check-in…read moreit appeared they were taking all precautions for covid-19. However, I found that the phlebotomist had been offered the vaccine but had declined to take it. She went on to say that many people in the hospital service had declined to take the vaccine. Further she had no allergies or medical condition to support her declining the vaccine. She just did not feel comfortable. I am a 75-year-old diabetic and a one-year cancer survivor. I feel that I am at risk in this situation and that you are not taking the covid-19 pandemic seriously. When I was a child and the polio vaccine came out I took it immediately. Our generation believed in vaccines and took them for ourselves and to protect the people around us. Is it too much to ask the current generation to respect and protect the vulnerable people against this virus? I will go elsewhere for my next blood draw and check with the phlebotomist to see if they are vaccinated before I have another test done.

The people working here are angels. We had an extremely sick dog, who ended up passing but it was…read moreher time. I carried her in, although on the phone they asked if I needed a gurney, which I didn't, but has kindly offered. The second they saw me and my pup, everyone stopped what they were doing to help. They could clearly see between my face, and her, that this was serious. Although our sweetie passed, they did everything they could, and kept me in the loop the entire time. The physician gave us great peace by telling us what had occurred, there was nothing we could have done, and even if we'd gotten her there earlier they probability to survival was low. In an extraordinarily difficult time they give my wife and I peace knowing we'd done what we could and it wasn't our fault. I had a mentor tell me, "why and what if are what keep you up at night." They did everything they could to shut down those difficult thoughts. While this is a sad outcome, I can't think every person who helped me and our pup last night do what they could. I'll never forget how you helped me through one of the most difficult processes of my life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our one year-old cat named Pickle got pretty badly mauled by a wild animal in the middle of the…read morenight recently, I found him at about 1:30 in the morning and he looked pretty bad. Not a lot of blood, but certainly multiple multiple puncture and bite wounds. As a nurse and a former hospice nurse, I tend to be very pragmatic when it comes to my animals. It's not that I don't value them. It's just that I maintain a personal perspective that our companion pets are not meant to be with us forever but I also don't want to be cruel and let them suffer unnecessarily. Except for where my cats died from a car hitting them or being killed by a wild animal, all my cats over the years have lived to be 18 to 21 years. We monitored him all through the night he didn't move and his breathing was really shallow, but he was still with us by morning so we took him off to the emergency blue pearl pet Hospital. The staff were very professional and caring. They examined him carefully and offered x-rays and a CT scan with the CT scan costing $1000. It cost $250 just to be seen. Once we made it clear to the staff there that we wanted to do very conservative medical management we didn't get the push back that we often get when we've gone to other vets. We made it very clear that we wouldn't consider surgery for him. They shaved our kitty's belly so we could easily monitor the worst of his wounds for abscesses. They provided us with the prescriptions that he needed for anti-infection and pain management. They did give us a cone of shame which I was shocked cost $56. That's outrageous. And my cat absolutely refused to wear it and was so intensely fighting and trying to get it off that he was harming himself more than if we let him go without and he had zero problems without it. The $56 for the cone was why I only gave them four stars. Otherwise the service and the care were very good and I would go back again in a heartbeat. Total price for visit, no labs, no imaging $700. Pickle is doing wonderful and is back to his old happy self.

After checking for moisture in our walls I was horrified when they discovered mold growing in a closet that had been hidden behind a dresser. Turns out we had moisture damage in several walls due to a leaking drain pipe under our shower causing mold growth on our Sheetrock inside the walls. Remediation began quickly and Gabriel was very thorough rooting out any potential sources of leaks and eliminating all traces of mold. Scheduling was easy, and I had orders sent by my doctor via secure fax. After receiving an email reminder the day before, Alondra arrived on time and took care to prepare a sterile area, even covering her shoes before coming in. She took the time to find a good vein and even helped ensure successful access by applying a heating pad to my arm. The draw was quick and she was able to pull multiple tubes. I still got faint but that was ok because I was comfortable on my couch and her comforting demeanor ensured I felt better quickly. She has all the equipment needed to prep the samples before bringing them to the lab and the whole process took less than 20 minutes including the vein quest and vasovagal recovery! He just estimated the amount of pills he put in the container; he didn't use any device to insure the correct number of pills. When I asked him, he said he was "just eyeballing it"; he said he had the experience to know he was filling my order correctly. He was friendly and on the positive side, all of the staff there I've delt with are pleasant and try to be helpful.
