I have come to this location several times in the past for bloodwork. Today I had a very bad experience,at the 5800 Bee Ridge location. I had completed the pre-testing procedures and checked in on my mobile phone 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time. Sandra was the technician. She was very unpleasant saying that she did not have an appt for me. She gruffly asked for my phone not believing that I had an appointment. She said that I was at the wrong location. She told me to go there. I was the ONLY Person waiting for services. I rushed down the street to the other location and was 15 minutes late. That is not the way you handle your customers. She should have taken my appointment. I had fasted for 12 hours. Labcorp accepts walk in patients. WHY DIDN'T she just consider me a WALK IN?? read more

People have been waiting 2.5 hours for employment drug test. People are not happy. No where else to go. Ridiculous!!

horrendous experience. went with appointment and there were 4 people ahead of me..8am. when i went in the woman had dark black hair with a strong accent, didn't get her name. As she was taking my blood there must have been something in her mouth and she went after it with her gloved hand.. she rubbed the back of her hand on her tongue and then turned her head and like tongue spit off to the side! I was so disgusted.. then she told me i needed a urine sample and i told her I didn't need to go.. i had nothing to drink. She kept telling me to try to pee, go pee, I need pee! i went and when i came out there were people in there and i asked her where to put it and she said on the table. i never got my urine results so she must have thrown it out! 8 days later i still never had my results and i've always gotten them the next day! i went to see her and she told me there is nothing she can do. I called 3 days after my labs and the woman said the fixture ordered special labs and they are taking longer! Well that was a crock of shit! i chatted and they said there was an address issue.. the report had my new address and the lab had my old one so they wouldn't release my labs.. more absurdity! she never look at my order to change my address!! i went to a free standing Labcorp in Myrtle 2 times a year for 3 years and it was a great place! I will never step into that lab again with that disgusting incompetent woman! My husband went to the free standing labcorp on 2900 Bee Ridge and said it's a great place!! read more

This is a dreadful facility. Two weeks ago I made an appointment here for this morning on Labcorp's website. I arrived on time and checked in with my driver's license as required, and got a message that they would text me when it was my turn. I waited for a half hour with no texts to my phone; Meanwhile, the names of many other customers appeared on the screen. I went to another lab - today was my last experience with Labcorp! This LabCorp was not clean and lacked seating for patients. After using the restroom, there was nothing to wash your hands with or even sanitizer after leaving the restroom. read more

I have had superior service at this location. Always well staffed, clean and easy and quick in and out.

Make sure that you have an appointment. Otherwise, you might get turned away. This was the only location in Sarasota that was on the scheduling for my company drug test. I called the number and the automated service said no appointments are needed. The lady I had to deal with was not very friendly or happy that I didn't know I needed an appointment. Upon looking at their website to schedule, it wouldn't have worked as I needed a drug test within two days...and they only had appointments a week out. I think they need more staff! I will mention that she did take me, but grumbled about it saying that she wasn't supposed to take walk ins. read more

I do not recommend Labcorp. I went to this Lab corp on July 31st, 2021 for routine bloodwork supposedly covered by my insurance. I was asked to present my credit card by the lady attending first before having routine bloodwork done. My insurance company confirmed with me the day before going that this is a preventative care procedure and should be covered, but Labcorp charged me an additional $40 without confirming this beforehand and charged my husband an additional $48 and the answer we received from Labcorp is a "pass the buck" type answer.
