I was surprised when I arrived at the the lab at 6:50am and the waiting room was full with about 20 people. I checked in at the self service kiosk, which was quick and easy. My appointment was at 6:50 and that's when I arrived. I was worried that I was going to have a long wait after seeing the full waiting room. My name was called within a minute or two of sitting down. The technician was quick and efficient. I was on my way back home within 15 minutes of arriving. I definitely recommend you make an appointment and you'll get great quick service. read more

Quick check-in, didn't wait very long to be taken back. Both techs I interacted with were great! The young lady who took my blood was very friendly and put me at ease, and in no time at all (with no pain) she had taken 4 or 5 tubes. There are no receptionists at this location and no way to contact anyone for help. As one of the pts in the waiting room blurted out, "Welcome to IA" Indeed. Made new apt for the next day. Same problem! Scaning the QR code at this location does not work. In retrospect, I should have found another lab. Quest Labs at 3501 Cattlemen Rd Suite D is by FAR the best Quest....no, the best lab EVER...that I have ever been to. They are kind, compassionate, and they make sure to get the patients taken care of in a timely manner, even when they are swamped. I just went today for blood work, and I had an appointment. They took me right back as soon as my appointment time came around. I want to give special props to Lori Anne and Carlos!!! I am a hard stick because of 25 years of medical issues, in and out of hospitals. There is one spot on my arm that literally nobody can ever get blood from. Lori Anne examined it carefully, took her time and found the right angle, and she got the blood needed for my doctor in that spot on the first try. Both she and Carlos listened to me and worked with me, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not to mention being so kind and funny too. I love to laugh and make jokes with people, and their personality and sense of humor made me feel so comfortable. Absolutely awful and do NOT use Quesy and this location. The technician, Sandra, had NO idea how to input my information into her computer and put in all the wrong information for my test on a rushed bloodwork test. Getting ahold of someone to speak with about correcting the information was impossible. A complete mess and horrible customer service to resolve the issue. read more

This is the second time that I've signed in on line and when I get there they "don't have a record of it", but I can wait as number 30 in line. Haven't ever had this happen at LabCorp or other Quest locations. Very irritating after 25 minute drive and scheduling around the "appointment'. As far as phone help, forget it! I needed to drop off a specimen and so I signed in as a standby (the only standby my entire waste of a time here). They weren't very busy but kept taking appointments even an hour after I had checked in. They need a better option to just drop off instead of making me wait an hour or more for a simple drop off. I tried saying something but they let me sit for another 15 minutes before checking in with me again asking once more if I signed in. To which I reiterated that I did an hour ago. Let's begin with the fact that nobody I know is happy to get blood work done. I mean really who wants to be poked and pinned. The trick here is to get yourself an account online with Quest, log in and schedule your appointments at your convenience. You will receive a confirmation via email and a scanner decal that will expedite your appointment. When you arrive, you must check-in on one of the two tablets, use the scan decal and wait. Staff is usually efficient and quick. There does seem to be a lot of changed in staff but most are friendly. I do not care for the new ones that are rough and learning how to poke you. So, if you have a preferred technician, wait for them to be available and ask if they will take you. Be friendly and patient and most of the time, they will work with you. Appointments are honored so be on time. Yes, there usually is a wait time regardless of the season. read more

I've had to have blood work done once a week for the last 2 months and this is the closest place to my house. Every.single.time. It has been a nightmare. The waiting isn't my problem it's the blood drawing. I'm currently sitting here with a blown out vein THIS time. Last time they tried 3 times to get my blood and then had to go in my wrist and blew that out. The time before that the tech tried once and then called in back up (Carlos - the only person that has actually been able to successfully get blood on the first try). This place is a total nightmare. Appointment or no appointment they always run behind - as recently as 90 minutes last week. I get it that you are short staffed, pay more or do whatever to hire people- other Quest labs don't have issues like this. Most importantly, no patient needs to hear your staff bellowing in the lobby how busy it is and how no walk ins will be seen. If you are appointment only post that on your door and on your website. At what point does patient care fall to poor business operations and rude staff become acceptable? Quest is a superior service. You can do everything online. Register for an account, set up appointments, look at your results. You can even order some tests on your own, without a doctor. You get an appointment confirmation which you can print out, or display on your mobile phone. Why. You show up you check it an any one of several mini kiosks, which scans your appointment confirmation and a photo ID. A TV display shows where you are on the waiting Queue. I have been here 4 times and each time I was seen at exactly the time of my appointment. The phlebotomist was friendly, and skilled. My insurance was billed automatically and so far everything had been covered 100% By comparison every other medical facility I have tried to make appointments has involved voice menus, leaving messages, and waiting days for return phone calls. Other facilities are billing nightmares, unlike Quest. I highly recommend Quest for laboratory services. read more

Had a hard time getting an appointment, got blood work taken. I was given a sample cup and told to drop off a yurin sample on Saturday at a different location in Venice Florida at a quest inside of a Walmart store. The door said open till two on Saturday. Door was locked,no light on. Walmart customer service would not take it. I had to pretend to be a doctor's office on the phone to be able to talk to a person. I threw the sample in the trash. I will use LabCorp next time and pay out of my own pocket because they don't take my crap insurance. read more

Walking into the lab I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The waiting room chairs were set up so there was plenty of space between each person. All the appointments were spaced out with more time between. As I checked in there was no need to touch anything which was comforting. The entire time I was there only one other person was on their way out as I was going in. The staff was all helpful as well. I like this place. I've been there several times and it's always an easy process. In and out in a few minutes. Place is clean and spacious. Staff is nice and do their job well. They even were very patient and kept their cool, a few days ago I was there, when a man lost his mind over not wanting to wear a mask. You'll be treated to limited and negative customer service, an incredibly sad waiting room packed with the other cattle of which you are now part of the herd. I've gone to this Quest location for a few years now for annual blood work. I don't understand why they would ever get such a low rating on Yelp. I decided to finally take time to write a post because they deserve 5 stars. This office has actually remodeled their facility. It is very efficient, clean & modern. The staff is kind & work extremely well to keep everyone safe & comfortable during these trying times. I had the pleasure of having Carissa draw my blood today. I don't like needles(who really does?) had more viles drawn than ever in my life because of a more serious medical issue. After this morning's positive experience with Quest Diagnostics in Sarasota, Florida, I am surprised to see any reviews less than 5 stars. Upon arrival at opening time, when I saw the line of about a dozen other patients I was expecting the process to take awhile, but the efficiency of the office and staff was a pleasant surprise, and I ended up being seen 20 minutes earlier than my scheduled appt. time. The reason I wanted to immediately share how pleased I am with this particular location and a phlebotomist (Kevin) who was exceptional, is not just because the low star reviews might need to be updated and/or revisited, but I have been to many labs where I left feeling like a pin cushion since multiple phlebotomists are usually unable to find a vein which had prevented me from getting some necessary and important tests. Kevin immediately knew what to do and treated me with respect and kindness and a level of professionalism that others would be proud to emulate. The entire process was painless and instead of leaving there crying from the humiliation of being shamed for having "difficult" veins (and from the pain and swelling/bruising of the failed attempts) based on past experiences with different labs, I was literally crying tears of gratitude and relief and hope that for the first time, because of this success, my doctors will have the information necessary to accurately assist me on my journey to finding potential solutions to some long term health issues. This is a priceless gift that keeps on giving. Special thanks to Kevin and the kind manager at this Quest facility for making a normally challenging experience one which has the potential to be life-changing. It also provides much needed relief in knowing that having to return or bring my family to such an outstanding lab will be a refreshingly smooth process. I highly recommend this Quest Lab and hope that others who might be hesitant to get their tests done will not put it off since in this case, they will thankfully be in good hands.
