Uncomplicated, not extensive, extremely easy lab test that I have had zero results and zero call backs, zero online notifications about the lab. Doctor office also has not received call backs. Lack of Quality in communication with patients is unacceptable. I would look at a different lab company or find a different location. I will be tracking what they charge the insurance for this because I am still waiting for an actual result or wondering if I will ever hear back at all. Update: I did fill out a survey on the website as the LabCorp team suggested. Within a day I received a call from the manager of this location. I was able to get the results and they intended to follow up in their messaging system. I was happy with the response and my issue was resolved. Thank you.

The good thing about Northwest Laboratories is that they're part of MultiCare and the results is uploaded on MyChart. Another good thing is that you dont need appointment to get your labs done. Here is the downside, and this is not just for this location but most of Northwest Laboratories. Be prepared to wait like you're at the DMV. Everyone comes here for lab, on top of the patients that come out of this clinic after their appointment (this one houses Mary Bridge Children's hospital clinic and Multicare Family Practice in same building). So just pack your patience. First things first: like all other Northwest Laboratories, you gotta fill out one of those Blue slips upon arrival, no questions asked. The faster you fill that out, the quicker you will be seen. Its actually crowded in early morning because people want to get their blood drawn and break their fasting asap, but afternoons are just as crowded. The staff are kind and the lab staff are very knowledgeable and professional. Some labs can take a while to get your results but this one is very quick in my experience, coming from a person who has lab tests every 2 months for past 20 years. This location is smaller than the Pearl street (Tacoma) location but they are located in less busier commercial mall so I like it here for that, and quicker results. Lab staff probably are some of best I've experienced with! Lastly if you're Overlake Medical Center (Bellevue) patient, its also a plus because Overlake is now owned by Multicare and everything on MyChart is easy peasy.

This is a walk-in lab and they do all kinds of testing. I come here to get my thyroid levels checked every few months. They're always quick and helpful, kind and personable at the front desk. They get you checked in and then you wait... they'll call your name and once you go back into the lab area they are quick about their business but do a good job. I get my blood drawn a LOT and it's always nice when you're phlebotomist actually knows what they're doing. If you come early (7:30-8), the wait can be longer because everyone who is waiting on fasting blood work tends to check in first thing. Other busy times are lunchtime, and around 4 right before they close. I've see the wait shortest in the late morning or early afternoon. Can't say I have a ton of choices because this is where my doctor sends my lab request but I'm glad it's here. :)

He advised that they were extremely busy, he had a donor in front of him, and he would call me back as soon as he could. He DID! He called back at around 2pm and apologized, twice, for the delay. He then scheduled my appointment, and when he asked for my email, I declined, citing spam concerns. He understood my issue and didn't push it. The following day, everything went smoothly for my 10am appointment. No pushing for my email, the medical survey was simple, and the donation was seamless. I believe there were 6 employees there that day, and I dealt with 4 of them. Competent, polite, and professional. If I'm ever in the same situation, I'll be back.

But sometimes I find myself having to get poked or prodded, for instance, this trip to LabCorp for blood work. And while it's not something I want to put on my calendar every day, I have to say this experience was about 1,000x better than it might have been, so woohoo for that. First, I love that you can just make an appointment online -- super, super easy. I actually got on the computer at 10 and made an appointment for 1 p.m. same day. Second, if you're in West Seattle (or close by) it's really easy to get to. There's parking on the street and inside, and it's a small place in a quiet neighborhood, so much less hassle than trekking to First Hill if you don't have to. Third, I walked right in and was next; no waiting. In fact, I learned when I got there that I didn't even need an appointment -- apparently it's not a long-lines-of-people kind of thing to get blood drawn, so that was good to know just in case. (I am a nervous type and like making appointments.) The surroundings were honestly just so-so; there's a main lobby that's nice, but I was in the lab lobby, which feels more like a waiting nook at an old hospital, but it's fine. The room where the blood was drawn was a little small, and another guy came in to have his done while we were wrapping up my procedure, and that was just a little weird -- I am by far not the worst person about having to give blood, but I don't particularly want to watch someone else's pool up into a vial or bag, either. But the best part was Kristy who checked me in and drew my blood. She was funny, chatty, supportive ("You can grab my arm if you need to,") and kept me laughing as we talked about terrible self-published ebooks. Most importantly, she got that needle in so easily I honestly barely even felt it -- I actually had to check to see if she'd gotten started. And it was over quickly. My husband went to the St. Michael's urgent care facility in Port Orchard this afternoon with…read moreconcerns about a potentially dangerous blood clot (he has a rare blood clotting disorder), and they allowed him to sit in a waiting room, go through a vitals check, and meet with a nurse before informing him that the doctor would not see him or provide the orders for needed imaging (which could have been done right across the hall). Instead, after all of that, they merely told him to go to the er. Even when informed that he was referred to urgent care specifically for needed orders, the doctor still refused to see him. This brand of medical negligence is becoming all too common in our modern, American healthcare system, and it should terrify and infuriate us.

My first visit here on 12/12/25 for my first mammogram. Check in was simple and easy. The lady at…read morethe reception desk was nice and ensured that the mammogram would be easy and not to be nervous. I was nervous LOL! I was early to my appointment so I was called within 30 minutes. I met with technician, Monica. She brought me into her office to ask for some basic questions. She then took me into a single private room. Explained that I should use the wipes in the packet to wipe off my deodorant (forgot I wasn't supposed to use), I can leave pants on, take shirt and bra off and use the medical gown. I entered the mammogram room. Technician, Monica explained that it would not hurt but that there would be an applied pressure. She pressed on my chest to show me as an example. She guided me through each step and advised me to hold my breath at every change of position. This part of the procedure took less than 15minutes. The wait time in the lobby was longer. I went back to the single private room to dress. There are two chairs right outside of the mammogram room and the private room should you have any family members accompany you. Lastly, technician Monica advised that I would receive my results within 7-10 days. I opted to receive my results via email. The email would be sent from stmichaelimaging@vmfh.org and what my passcode would be. Technician, Monica made all the difference in my great experience in having my first mammogram. It was not as bad as I thought it would be based on hearing other women's bad experiences. It's just a slight pressure ladies. Thank you Monica!!! =))
