Before your imaging center became part of a larger franchise, I regularly recommended it to others. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been very different. During the 20 years I lived in Poulsbo, I had only one serious concern involving a medical provider. Otherwise, I found the staff to be knowledgeable, prepared, and professional. At my first appointment of the year, I arrived on time but was told by the receptionist that I was early. I explained that I had been instructed to drink contrast before my CT scan. Rather than checking on the issue or helping, she told me to sit down. I asked her to speak with a manager. She left briefly, returned, and again told me to sit down and wait. As a result, I waited nearly 45 minutes, was able to drink only a small amount of the contrast and then had to receive the rest by injection. On another visit, a staff member came from the back and called my first name. I could not see who had called me, but I quickly turned around to pick up my bag. He then called my second last name twice. When I raised my concern, he did not appear to take seriously the privacy issue this created. I understand that the waiting room layout may make it difficult for staff to see every patient clearly. However, I later saw another staff member go farther into the waiting room before calling a patient's name, which seemed like a more appropriate approach. On a separate occasion, I received a bill the day before my appointment, so I wrote a check and expected to pay it at the reception desk. I handed the receptionist the bill stub and a check for more than the amount due because I expected the current visit to create additional charges, since I had not yet met my deductible for the year. She asked for my name and date of birth, then stated, "You owe X," without any greeting or explanation. I explained that I was prepared to pay the bill I had received, but I would not pay charges for statements I had not yet been sent. She said I had to pay for what appeared on the computer. I repeated that I would pay any additional amounts after receiving the appropriate statements. I gave her the bill stub and check, but she handed the check back. When I asked why, ends up that she had never seen a check before. After someone helped her process it, she charged a few cents too much and could not correct the error. Because the manager was in a meeting, another staff member eventually came and gave me the change from the overpayment. I also explained that the same receptionist had been involved in my earlier concerns and appeared to need additional training. The staff member agreed that more training was needed. Because of these repeated issues at the reception desk, I have chosen to go to imaging locations farther away, any time I could, including Tacoma, Seattle, and Edmonds, rather than deal with reception at the Poulsbo location. The staff who perform the tests seem knowledgeable and capable; my concerns are primarily with reception, the wasting my time, me having to get needles instead of drinking medicine before a procedure, HIPPA violation and billing-related communication. When I received the first bill, I called Billing, which is in another time zone, twice. During the first call, we discussed my bill because this was the first time I was paying my yearly deductible. This was on or about the 15th of the month. The billing representative told me what the bills would be the following month on the 15th. I explained that I would pay the deductible and that my insurance would pay the remaining amount after receiving the bills from Rayus. My second call to Billing was necessary because the check I gave the receptionist had not been credited to my account, and I received a 30-day notice stating that my bill had not been paid. I asked the billing representative to look elsewhere for my payment. She eventually found it and said it would be credited the following month. The next month, I received a 40-day overdue bill for the amount I had already paid. Although the front of the bill stated that the balance from my insurance company had been received but was pending in the system, the total amount requested included both the check I had submitted and the amount my insurance was expected to pay. I am sending this letter to the doctor in charge of the Rayus Poulsbo location so that he is aware of what has been happening. I am concerned that I may not be the only patient experiencing these problems, and I hope these issues can be addressed through improved staff training, clearer billing procedures, and better communication with patients. I have not called Billing since getting their 40 days overdue statement. Nor will I call them again. read more

Just drove here this morning for nothing. I had a voicemail confirming my appointment for this morning only to be told by Laurie that it wasn't there and that I needed to wait and maybe the tech can squeeze me in. I shouldn't be penalized for a scheduling error. She didn't offer to re schedule me or have me speak with the person who made the appointment. Unhelpful, unprofessional and unacceptable is what I am experiencing. I am dealing with cancer and have to have labs, imaging and countless doctors visits so at the very least the front desk could have some people skills. read more

The back office personnel who ran my exam was the epitome of professionalism and bedside manner. It was in stark comparison to the treatment I endured by the reception staff. I walked in a few minutes early to check in and there was someone in front of me. When that patient went to sit down, I waited several minutes for one of the receptionists to let me know they were ready to help. Of the 3, none of them did. Eventually, I moved toward the person nearest to the door. She didn't even look up from her computer for several minutes while she typed. After several more minutes, she finally said "Name?" I gave her my name and then she angrily said she couldn't hear me and that I needed to speak louder so I said it a bit louder and then she typed and just stared at her screen for several silent minutes. I finally said, "I'm sorry, do you need me to come back?" Then she said "I'm reading your chart so I can figure out what you need" in the most acidic abrasive tone I've ever seen from someone working in a medical facility talking to a new patient for the first time. The length of time she took to figure out why I was there was inappropriate and could potentially be considered a HIPAA violation if that was what she was actually going. Finally she provided me paperwork to complete and then gave a weak apology about an iPad not being available. I said it was ok that it really didn't matter to me and then she pointed out that the iPad was easier. This was really strange because it seemed like she was trying to make a point of the fact that she was giving me what she thought was the more difficult process. I never met this person before so this entire encounter was completely bewildering aside from the fact that it was entirely unprofessional and inappropriate. If I need any follow ups or imaging I'll ensure that I won't return to this facility. read more

Preface: I had ultrasound images done, as well as a surgery scheduled for a inguinal hernia. However I disagreed with my doctor on where exactly the hernia actually is/was, so my doc agreed to order additional scans (CT specifically). I specifically did NOT want to reschedule the surgery as they are several weeks out and the hernia was getting worse! RAYUS was very quick to get me scheduled, very quick to get the images sent over to the doc. When I arrived, the staff at RAYUS was very friendly, I told the image Technician of my concern and she was super friendly and listened and was able to get great images confirming my concern. Very thankful for RAYUS' very quick appointment and turn around as well as the great Image tech who listened to my concern! The schedule, (ordered CT's on Tuesday, images in & out Friday, surgery Tuesday morning) As it turns out, the hernia was higher than my doc thought and thanks to the tech's great imagines, alleviated my concerns!! Thanks RAYUS!! I didn't have to reschedule my surgery and my concern was validated!! You guys ROCK!! read more

If I have to use them again, I will wait for a different technician. There are signs posted telling patients to be respectful of the employees of RAYUS. I just had the most horrible experience at this facility. I have been a patient here for the past 20 years. Since Dr Henne left, treatment has deteriorated significantly. Today I sat for 35 minutes waiting for an appointment. While waiting, everyone in the waiting area was subjected to deafening noise by construction workers behind a wall. No ear protection was provided to those waiting and no warning was given prior to the appointment. When someone finally came to get me, I was then abandoned in a treatment room while my attendant was "sidetracked", according to her. She then proceeded to run the exam like a cheerleader. After the exam I was told to wait and was abandoned in a chair in a hallway, she returned 20 minutes later to inform me that the results were okay and that she had gotten "sidetracked" again. Good radiologists, but NOT good at getting back to you when they say they will about results. I had a mammogram yesterday, and they say they will call you with results the same day, or the following day. I have waited by my phone, but they have NOT called. I am at the age when mammograms are very concerning, and so many women my age have breast cancer. DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU'LL DO, RayUs Radiology. Disappointed. Very impressed with their facilities. Not much of a wait time after the check-in forms were handed in. The office staff was very professional and friendly. The technician was friendly and reassuring, explaining what was being examined during the ultrasound and what to expect from the procedure. Very happy that results were given by the radiologist right then instead of having to wait for them to be sent. One great thing is that it had been estimated that the ultrasound would take about 45 minutes but it was over and the results given within 30 minutes. read more

Over 10 minutes to answer the phone. Absolutely terrible customer service on the phone. I'm calling to schedule an appointment and she says "ohh we haven't seen you before, we can't schedule...blah blah blah." I ask "don't you have a referral from my doctor (gave doctor's name). A solid 45 seconds goes by of utter silence, she says nothing. I ask "hello are you there?" Ohh yeah, I guess we do, but we can't schedule you, somethings wrong with it. Call you doctor and talk to them. She then just hangs up and doesn't even say goodbye. Seriously this woman answering your phones should be immediately fired. Also, impossible to schedule with these clowns. They're booked months out. EVERY MRI provider I've ever seen can get you in for appt in less than 7 days. I'll be finding somewhere else to spend my money. read more

Needed to schedule an emergency mammogram in July but everywhere along the Olympic Peninsula was booked out until October. Dealing with pain, and the staff at Rayus squeezed me in when others could not. They got me in within days. Scheduled an early appointment. The staff is so welcoming and kind which is important when you are getting any type of radiology. The mammogram radiologist Melissa was super gentle and talked me through the entire process making it easy to take your mind off your nerves. It wasn't as painful as I kept anticipating it would be. The ultrasound specialist was just as gentle and explained everything during as well. Thank you to the Rayus team and staff for caring for us, your patients. There is no other place to go than here so don't look further. Appreciate all the help and efforts you give in providing comfort for us. read more

i was sent with a form from urgent care. the urgent care said i should just be able to walk in and get an ultrasound, however with my insurance that just wasn't possible. i believe her name was riley, she worked at the front desk, she went the extra mile to get that referral sent immediately to my insurance, had it cleared within an hour of me leaving, and got me in the next day. the technician who did my ultrasound was also very kind, extremely informative, and comfortable to work with. really nice people here! read more

You only come here if your doctor recommends that you get scans. So it can be a scary place to visit. I think it's important that when you go to a place like this that you're able to know that you're going to be treated well and given the proper guidance. They do that well here. read more

I am a retired PA-C so I know when I receive good care. I have had six spinal procedures with the last being a fusion from L2-L4. Physical Therapy twice a week. Unfortunately I still experienced significant daily pain and restricted function. Today I underwent an epidural on both sides of L5-S1. The staff were exceptional and the epidural immediately relieved my pain due to the anesthetic. I particularly appreciate the radiologist skill in making the bilateral injections under CT instead of fluoroscopy and causing the least discomfort of any epidurals by former pain management physicians. The clinical staff are superb with amazing patience and compassion for my back problems! I truthfully cannot say anything negative and I HIGHLY RECOMEND RAYUS for any radiologic procedure. I will not let any other radiologists touch my back from now on. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! read more

I had a mammogram at In Health last year and it was AWFUL! The technician spent more time talking about her home in Hawaii that she was selling than making sure I was positioned correctly or comfortable. She even showed me her home pictures DURING THE MAMMO. It was bizarre. It wasn't like she was trying to take my mind off of the discomfort... she just seemed to enjoy talking about her own life far more than answering my questions. Second time going to InHealth Imaging for a mammogram. Chocolates both time! Technicians are kind and compassionate and easy to talk to. Gown is soft fabric, no flimsy paper. Overall, best possible mammogram experience.... I've gone from avoiding them to looking forward to them as much as anyone could look forward to a medical appointment! read more

InHealth is now Rayus radiology. Went for a mammogram. The radiologist never reviewed my past mammograms. He didn't review my mammogram with me in person. He called me and said there were concerns and I needed a diagnostic and an ultrasound. The only follow up they had was 2 weeks later. I found an appointment at Olympic in 5 days. I had to drive to InHealth and pick up the disk with my records because they wouldn't send it in time. I get the disk to Olympic and it's blank! I had to do the mammograms again. The radiologist from Olympic met with me in person. She said my mammogram matched my 2017 mammogram exactly. No concerns, no need for a diagnostic or an ultrasound. InHealth put me through a week of hell for nothing! Do not use InHealth/Rayus! read more

Feels unsafe during the pandemic. I recently had an appointment here. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of time as requested by them, to fill out paperwork. They had me wait an additional 15 minutes past my appointment time, so 25 minutes in the lobby altogether. During that time I had the opportunity to observe how well they comply with the mask mandate which requires masks for all people, vaccinated or not, in medical settings. Sadly, one of their front counter workers had her mask under her nose for a good portion of that 25 minutes. And there were 2 patients in the waiting room with either no mask or their mask on their chin. I did not see anyone from the InHealth staff bother to say anything to them to get them to correct this problem. Honestly, it felt unsafe, especially now that the Delta COVID variant has taken off in our county. I was really disappointed that they are not managing this better. read more

Impossible to make an appointment for my broken foot. The call center is one woman with young screaming children who is too busy to answer the phone. The first time I called it was immediately after my order was faxed over around noon and I called her on CarPlay was on hold for 15 minutes when she answered I told her everything, she rudely answered "I can't hear you!" And she hung up before I could switch to regular phone. The second time I called was immediately after. I was on hold for 20 minutes before she answered "please hold" then I held for another 30 minutes I was wondering if she forgot about me because it switched from music to just ringing for a long while. Finally she answers and tells me she had no orders for me and can't make an appointment for me yet. I waited til 3:45 to give enough time to get her crap together and called back was on hold until after 4 when I then was given a machine message that told me to call back when they were open!!!!! Rayus Radiology Poulsbo. RED FLAG! Had 2 MRIs. 842.00 for the first and a whopping 3700.00 for the second. Was told this would happen by two different people. The technician injected contrast at the end of the scan. I don't know if he even added anything. Contrast needs time to work. My research says it takes some time to work and is injected usually before the scan. When he told me that the contrast would be added 50% through the scan big red flags went off. Then the communication was lousy between us, don't swallow he said over and over. Try that laying on your back. When Michelle the manager asked him of course he did not tell the truth and said he added it before the MRI. 3 doctors believe it seems like no contrast was added due to the exact report twice. I called Michelle the manager, she was very concerned until I am sure her bosses told her to stay clear of me. I'm a total victim. No communication from Rayus from their email page. They make you wait at least 10 minutes to answer the phone. They didn't send the results until after I had requested them 5 days later. The doctor finally had to call. Then he was not happy with the same report almost word for word. So here I am 2 scans 4 months no help from Rayus . Where's your accountability Rayus. Next stop health board. read more

I have been going here for eight months due to radiologic needs. The front line staff has always been courteous, full of humor and always punctual. I can tell they've always got a lot of things going on, but always remain constant with a smile on their face. The X-ray, ct, mri, nuc med, ultrasound, and mammo (although I've never been in mammo) are kind, professional, and you can just tell they have a real solid chemistry among each other. You have to have a solid staff to remain happy and Their joy of working only reflects how great they are at their jobs. Dr. Henne is a man of few words, but when he does speak to me, every time would be more profound than the last. Good news or bad news, I felt each moment was a teaching moment filled with compassion and respect. It's sad that I'm moving away from the area, or else I would have remained at inhealth. Lonnie was exceptionally good at her job. Pleasant, helpful, fast, gentle. Have put off for 15 years since experience at a different entity left me black and blue for a week. It's never enjoyable, but Lonnie made the difference with her happy, helpful manner and gentle touch. I was pretty much awed by the fact that for my 9 am appointment, I was actually called and taken back to start the mammogram at 9 am!! Being informed of the results within minutes of the scans was also a nice touch.......finally, somebody who had the power to write procedures actually thought about the patient's point of view. I would give it a 0 if I could. I had to drink 32 oz of water by 1:25pm for a 2:25pm ultrasound appointment and they didn't get me in until 3:45pm. You can't expect someone to hold their bladder for over 2 hours. I had to ask the receptionist twice if I could use the bathroom and when I was going to be seen. When I did get seen, the woman doing my ultrasound was making jokes about how full my bladder was and how I'd never stop having to pee. I will never go back. read more

I have never raved about a mammogram before. Who would? Well, you - if you go to InHealth Imaging. When I called to make the appointment, since I was new to the area, they asked where my last mammo was. I told them the name of the facility and the town, that's it. When I checked in for my mammo, they took me back immediately. The tech showed me the gown to put on, which was sitting on a chair, on top of which was a small, adorable, silver and white box with a pink ribbon. She said, "And, that's for you." OK, I admit it. They had me at the chocolate truffles, but there's more.... I'd never even given a thought to hospital gowns before, but this was not the usual, flimsy deal. It was soft and substantial. They do 3D mammography, which was a first for me, as well. It definitely does not hurt as much. The tech was very professional and I was very pleased with the whole process, but wait, there's more... She said, "If you'd like to get dressed and then wait 10 minutes, the radiologist will go over your mammogram with you, and you can get the result right away." Did I just hear that correctly? Do I also need an audiologist? But, no. Ten minutes later, I was taken back to see the radiologist. He had my old mammo from the other facility in the other state up on his screen with the one just taken next to it. He explained what he was seeing, any changes and answered all of my questions. When I commented that I'd never had a 3D mammo before, he said he was the first one on the West Coast to have it. Sold! (And the truffles were really good, too.) read more

I have had multiple amazing experiences at this facility the workers here are so friendly, helpful, and kind. I had the pleasure of receiving an ultrasound by April, she is so amazing at her job!!! Throughout the procedure she explain to me what I may feel and hear. She kept asking me if I felt comfortable and to let her know if I felt any discomfort during the ultrasound. So I had my 4th mammo gram of my life and second one here a couple weeks ago. It was unpleasant to say the least couldn't wait to get out of there. Never been so painful. But then doctor wanted more pictures. Thankfully of the less painful side. All I wanted to do was get out of there so I could go cry. But no I had to suffer though an ultrasound. My fault really for not demanding to be shown what the issue is that they now want an mri. I haven't heard anything and they made it sound like they would take care of getting the paperwork for the mri. Well I haven't heard anything so I called today. The lady that answered the phone was the most unpleasant person I have had to talk to in a medical facility. If you can't be pleasant to my questions about possible breast cancer hand the phone to someone that can. Doctor might know what he is doing but as one review said he doesn't have the best bedside manner. There be some place else to go. read more

Came for an MRI. Was a bit late because of some scheduling confusion (10 min), but no issues. Staff was pleasant and helpful. MRI is a nuisance, but that's the nature of the technology. The radiologist reviewed the images with me, which is a big plus. For outpatient imaging needs, it is great! read more

What a wonderful place to have a not so wonderful mammogram. That has to be one of the worse things us women have to go thru. I was so surprised to see a little box of chocolates on the hospital gown to wear during the test. What a thoughtful and kind thing to do. Everyone i came in contact with was so kind and caring. The Dr. is so nice and takes the time after the test to review the results with you right then and there. It was really nice to immediately know instead of finding out a week or two later when you see your referring Dr. I plan on having this office as my go to place for everything.
