I've never had any issues here. I mostly do walk-ins and I'm seen right away. Did I once have a bruise after drawing blood? Yes but it was just once and it never happened before or after. The people are pleasant. This one girl, Anika, is an absolute joy. The smile never leaves that girl's face. So no matter what mood you're in going in you're always gonna leave smiling. At least that's my experience when she's there. Are some people not as cherry? Yes but once you start talking to them, they're very pleasant. read more

Officially the worst blood draw I've ever had. I always offer my left arm after some not so good blood draws from my right arm way back when when I didn't know I should specify. After effects ceased to be an issue after that since I have an easy access vein in my left elbow that every prior phlebotomist has used while leaving me completely free of after effects. Now, with something of an aversion to needles, I never look while the phlebotomist is doing their thing, I just try to mentally distance myself with all my might. But two things broke right through that veil at this location. First, the phlebotomist seemed to have missed her workout that morning and decided she was going to make it up by tying the tourniquet on my arm as tight as she was physically capable of. And she wins the contest of the tightest that one has ever been tied on me to be sure. It is without a question not a contest I would ever have consented to though. Second, while the pain seemed higher than normal, with me and needles, that can be psychosomatic, so I'm still pushing on to my mental scape beyond. Then she switches the vial she's drawing into. There were two switches, and each were another contest win for her as the most jarring any phlebotomist has ever been while doing that. It was not exactly something I could phase out of. I walked home clutching my arm the whole way wondering what the heck happened in there and, here's the call back to me never looking while the phlebotomist is doing their thing, realized upon taking my sweater off at home that she had also decided to challenge herself by trying a different vein. Had a shocking experience this morning. While having blood taken at a Center City, Philadelphia LabCorp in December - when deaths due to Covid are at its highest, my nurse asked me "Have any plans this weekend?" I said "No, Covid has limited my social life." She said "I'm not letting Covid limit my life. The cases are nowhere near what you hear about otherwise all drug addicts would be in the hospital now with their compromised immune systems." Are you kidding me??? She's in the healthcare profession and she thinks Covid is a hoax! I'll never go back to that location, ever! read more

Completely incompetent and rude phlebotomists. I waited 30 minutes for my blood draw when they had 3 phlebotomist chatting and eating my entire wait. I was a phlebotomist so I noticed how many times the women drawing my blood compromised my sample by not letting the sanitizer dry before inserting the needle and by repalpating. She then left the tourniquet on for way longer than it needs to be. I told her it was too tight and to please take it off and she ignored me. Extremely unpleasant experience. read more

I was unable to enter the building - the front door was locked and the code to enter gave me an error. I tried calling, it went to voicemail. I had routine lab work needed to be done. I chose this place as closest to my work. It was so SO awful. I felt like I was doing something wrong the minute I walked in. There was no greeting, no smile and barely eye contact during the check in process. Told abruptly to go to room and sit in gray chair. I did - same person as at front desk came in - did not say a word to me and I just held out my left arm. It was PAINFUL - unlike others - and left quite a bruise - raised and purple. Convenient new location downtown on Broad St. right across the street from the hospital. When you google the address, it will show the Walgreens at this address. Never fear! It is just next door. I guess they share the same mailing address. The entrance is a door just to the left of Walgreens. You have to be buzzed in & then you proceed down a hallway until you get to their door with a very small sign on the right-hand side. Labcorps can be tricky to find for some reason. This is not the first one with really inadequate signage I've encountered. At any rate, since it's a relatively new location, it was completely quiet when I arrived at LUNCH time no less! A nice change, although I'm sure this will change. You have to find street parking, and on Broad St this is not easy. However, there is plenty of parking on the west-bound side of Vine St. I parked in front of the school at a meter & just walked a half block to get here. Super easy. Their online appointment system is very easy to use. They also take walk-ins. read more

The location is convenient, but the people that work there are awful. I had made an appointment online and showed up 15 minutes early. I checked in; there was a woman in front of me getting a lot of labwork completed. I was sitting waiting my turn when another woman pokes her head around and goes "Can I help you?" I told her I needed lab work drawn and that the doctor had sent it over. She just said I don't have the request from the doctor. I started to speak again and she interrupted and said "I don't have it." I would try to say something and she again would interrupt just said she didn't have the request. Didn't attempt to look it up. She made absolutely no effort. She then said I could call the doctor's office and have it faxed over. She went to sit down and play with her phone. She couldn't have been less helpful. The fact that she didn't look and just went and sat down to play on her phone was when I decided I would leave and have my lab work done elsewhere. Had an 11:15 am appointment. The front desk person was inattentive and unprofessional. I left without any lab work done. I must use Lab Corp. because that's what my health plan requires but I will never attempt to use this location again. read more

The phlebotomist hit a nerve causing nerve damage. Still in pain several days later and my PCP says it could take weeks or even months to heal. Go elsewhere for your blood work, the phlebotomists here are not experienced. read more

I actually had a really great experience here at Labcorp this afternoon. I scheduled an appointment online and although I arrived early, I made it back to get my blood drawn right on time. The phlebotomist was extremely nice and apologized for the wait because they were shortstaffed, but I didn't mind. The blood draw was quick and nearly painless. Spent over an hour waiting at this location and was never even fully checked in. In the entire time I was there only one person (of about 15 people) was called back to do their testing. Waited around for the receptionist to return to the front so I could at least get the order my doctor had faxed in so I could go elsewhere but she was missing for about 55 min out of the hour I was there. This location is dirty and slow and I wouldn't recommend going here for labwork unless you have a few hours to waste and there are no other options available. read more

Have a two inch black/blue and now also also purple/yellow color injury after a blood test with multiple vials.....the phlebotomist had an easy vein to access but was not gentle with the needle when it was drawing the blood. read more

This is a really good Labcorp office. I chose this one based on negative reviews of other locations and positive reviews of this location. It was definitely the right call. The receptionist was professional and kind and I was seen right on time. Most importantly, they were very understanding about my embarrassing and pretty intense blood work phobia. They let me bring my husband in with me to hold my hand without batting an eye. The phlebotomist was skilled and friendly and a really good sport about my crying. I'm pregnant so everything makes me cry now. She took it in stride and did an amazing job. I will definitely be using this office for all of my pregnancy blood work. I might not even cry next time. read more
