This place will go down because of Raphael. I have been coming here every few months for the past three years because I'm a transplant patient and this time by far was the worst that literally brought me to tears . He deliberately told his staff not to take me, and I was standing there, waiting in tears for somebody to take my blood with my cup of urine, and they ended up not doing it and just pushing me off until I finally had to leave because I had to take my medication, which I advised of them, and they just kept taking people who came after me He said he didn't see me in the hallway, which is impossible because I was standing right there looking at him while all the seats were taken. This was the worst experience and I don't recommend anybody going here simply because of Rafael. I felt harassed and extremely mistreated by him, and his staff just kept looking at me and calling the next person, knowing that I was here for over an hour just standing there waiting.. they went as far as to ignore me, and when I went to Rafael and said who do I ask when I can go, he said anybody.. never returning here thanks to him. Having been to quite a few, the people here are super sweet and personable - and most importantly good at their job (I have very hard to find veins so appreciate techs who can make it easy). Only downside is I don't like being in the same room as others when getting my blood drawn. Would prefer to always be alone. Wait time is OK. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I got some labs done two weeks ago, and while it was nice to be able to walk in without an appointment, it was overall not a great experience. Anytime I have ever given a urine sample, there were wipes in the bathroom to make sure the sample is not contaminated. While their bathroom had a poster that stated you should use wipes, there were no wipes to be found in the restroom. Also, there was one of those medical waste bins just sitting outside the front door of the facility, with the lid flipped up, that appeared to be full. I'm glad I didn't look too closely, but from my glance, whatever was in there was not something I wanted to see at the entrance to a medical facility. Finally - I confirmed when I was there that they would call my doctor with the results. When my appointment with my doctor came around, she said that Labcorp hadn't sent her office the results. I gave her the exact location and phone number, and we rescheduled for a week later. I called and left a message at this location to make sure they sent her the results before my appointment today. I never received a callback. Got the call today that my doctor still hadn't heard from them. Called again today to request AGAIN that they send my doctor the results, but once AGAIN no one answered and I don't expect to hear from them. read more

I know that many people complain about Labcorp...and I used to be one of them! But ironically enough, the COVID pandemic seems to have improved their performance significantly. (Just fyi, I use only the Holmdel, NJ location) The app allows you to create your appointment online and it's very efficient. Also helpful is the ability to check in by phone or in the lobby. Once checked in, you can wait inside or outside, depending upon your preference. Since the new system went into effect several years ago, I've NEVER waited more than 10 minutes for my appointment...and I'm there about once a month. The front office staff is quick and efficient. As long as all my paperwork is correct, I'm in and out within 15 minutes. All of the technicians are well-trained and experienced, and even though I absolutely hate getting my blood drawn, they make it a relatively painless process. (The tourniquet is the worst part!) Most are friendly, but all are very good at what they do. read more

Seen on 6/16 at 11am. Dont bring your loved ones here. Brought my newborn son and post partum wife in for newborn blood work. Phlebotomist refused to use his heel and insisted the arm was better and then was unable to draw his blood. Understandable, infants are tricky. At this point my wife became faint and needed to sit. After completing the blood draw on our son she became very pale,we were asked if she wanted something and when we asked for juice they said they dont offer juice or anything with sugar and the dismissed herself. Didn't offer anything else, didn't take her blood pressure or to see if there was a provider they could call. Nothing, just left. A wheelchair was not offered. Lastly as I was walking her out while also carrying my newborn I noticed an exit in the back mere feet from where we parked. When approaching the door I was stopped by the same women and told that exit was for employees. This makes no sense, it's an exit. We were forced to walk around the entire building and parking lot in an obviously distressed state. Standard of car was not met and there was no empathy from the phlebotomist. Retraining/rehiring is needed, this is not ok in any circumstance. read more

How are you going to say that walkins are welcome and then deny taking me when I am there 30mins before closing time. People work on weekdays and sometimes only weekends are the time they can make it. IT IS NOT RIGHT to say you close at 10:30AM. And when someone shows up at 10AM, you do not take them. Might as well say you close at 10AM then. This is really wrong. I work with Cancer patients and I would hate for that to happen to one of my patients. Mind you, the place was not busy. This is so ridiculous and inhumane. Shame on you labcorp workers. Also, fix your attitude, no one wants to walk in to that kind of environment. read more

Arrived this morning, I see a sign on the front door for 3 people max capacity in the waiting room. Since there were more I waited outside for some to finish their business and come out. In the meanwhile a lady arrived, went in and checked in. As I saw that I went in and checked in too. The lady was called before me and I went to the reception and explained. The receptionist told me I checked in 2 minutes after, despite arriving first, so I had to step away to allow the other person in. The male receptionist who registered me told me I should have gone in and asked them and not look at the signs. I don't understand how I go in to ask if they have a sign for 3 pax max capacity and there are more people in. This is a 1-star review for this reception because they didn't even apologize for not having clear information about their check-in procedures but just reduced themselves to treating me unfairly by taking in before me the person who arrived after me. I give 3 stars because this was supposed to be a 5-star review for the technicians in the laboratory who are excellent. Please, post clear information on your front doors about the steps expected from your patients. And be considered when you cause trouble because of giving contradictory info. read more

I came in time to my appointment. One of the secretaries at the desk treated me with so much attitude and contempt. I was on the phone with my doctor talking about my prescription. She told me to "step aside and take my conversation outside" in a very nasty tone. I am a patient with an autoimmune disease and I needed my bloodwork taken. I left. I was so disappointed. I have used this testing lab for blood work many times. They are always very busy so it is best to set an appointment online. Walk-ins tend to wait twice as long. I had an 8:30 am appointment and was out a little past 9 am. The testing was quick and easy. The phlebotomist was skilled and pleasant. She used nonstick gauze and a cotton ball to spare my hairy arm the pain of removing tape or a bandaid. Processing was efficient. I preregistered online, which saved me time and paperwork on site. If you've not been to this place before, drive to the back of the lot and turn left at the woods. (Don't be fooled: The first LABCORP sign you see is an employees only doorway. Building 3 is on the corner, but you have to enter Labcorp on the far side.) I pass the building and look for the sidewalk, then I find a parking space on my right. read more

Went today for prenatal blood work and everything was great! Checking in is very simple, the first screen you see tells you you'll need your drivers license and insurance card. It takes less than a minute to complete check in. The man that did my blood draw was awesome. Friendly and fast! I was in and out in less than an hour but I came prepared with a book and snacks just in case. People complain because a lot of people walk in without an appointment but labcorp doesn't require appointments so you just go when you can and be prepared to wait if you have to. read more

I.C.Q. Search and Recovery is on YELP. WCCL/PathologyInc. owned by Laboratory Corporation of America failed to submit insurance claim w/in year of service. Collections contacted me 3 yrs after sevice. I.C.Q. Search and Recovery refused to speak w/ med. insurance. The letter addressed a charge for services in 2015 for the amount of $$$$. I found the bill I received. I had called the billing department with my medical insurance information in 2015 which PathologyInc/WCCL already had since they had submitted claims for other services in 2015. I never received another bill. after I called PathologhyInc/WCCL According to my then insurance, a claim was not submitted for the date in question. My insurance informed me if PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit within a year, they will not pay. My insurance requested that PathologyInc/WCCL resubmit with proof of timely filing; or have the PathologyInc/WCCL call my insurance. I called the collection agency I.C.Q., they refused to relay the information to PathologyInc/WCCL since the claim was not submitted within a year of service. I.C.Q. requested I submit the claim or pay the bill since it was my fault PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit the claim. I informed them I called PathologyInc/WCCL billing with my insurance information on date in 2015. I wrote the date and what information I gave them. I failed to write down the name of the operator. The I.C.Q. (Amber) said that I could be making up the information - without the name they cannot look at their 2015 logs to verify. Amber stated she will give me an extension of 60 days so GEHA could process the claim I SUBMIT. I did not bother to ask them to call GEHA at this point. The I.C.Q. (Amber) stated PathologyInc/WCCL sent 3 statements in all within 4 weeks of the service; the last one being my final notice which was received 25 days after service. I only received the last one and called the billing department with insurance info. Since I did not hear from them, I thought they were paid. My insurance was upset at how PathologyInc/WCCL and I.C.Q. are handling this issue. So I have and am filing complaints against Laboratory Corporation of America and I.C.Q. with the Better Business Bureau. bbb.org/consumer-complai... I have a chronic condition that was diagnosed 8 years ago which requires bloodwork at least 2-3 times per year. Over the past 8 years, all of my bloodwork has been done at Labcorp at various locations throughout NJ. I have also had bloodwork conducted during COVID. This location is, by far, the most disorganized and employs the least courteous staff of any LabCorp I have been too. I arrived promptly for my appointment and checked in from my car. I proceed to wait 20 minutes for the text notifying me the technician was ready. I never received the text so went in because it seemed like a long time to be waiting. The person at the front desk mumbled something when I arrived and said take a seat, you will be the next one in. I got the feeling he hadn't paid attention to the LabCorp check-in option that allows a customer to wait in their car. He did process me next then directed me to Room 1, where I waited another 20 minutes. Note this is now 1:15 pm, when my appointment was at 12:30. When I popped my head out the door I asked when my bloodwork would be taken. I was told "I don't know; I don't know what he's doing" and the person walked away. As she and the person who was at the front desk when I came in walked by my room again I informed them I had a work meeting and could stay a max of 10 more minutes. I was told there was only one phlebotomist for four rooms and the front desk person walked away and dismissively said, you can schedule for another day." Then the female employee told me"If the meeting is more important then you can re-schedule." I replied, "well I would have thought allowing myself an hour when I had made a 12:30 appointment would be sufficient" the phlebotomist came into the room and said "Ok, ok, ok I will take care of you now." He was quite nice and I appreciated his response but it was too little, too late. So somehow in this transaction it became my fault that I had to go back to work at a certain time. And I was the one who was in the wrong because LabCorp is disorganized and doesn't honor people's appointments and doesn't seem to pay attention to their own COVID protocols in place to make people feel more comfortable by allowing them to wait in the car. Don't even bother going to this place - go to Little Silver or Oakhurst or somewhere else. I would even drive up to the LabCorp in Bayonne rather than going here again. And also of note, this place is dingy and doesn't necessarily give one the feeling of cleanliness we are all craving in a place where our blood will be drawn during a pandemic. read more

Very under qualified phlebotomist. One bad apple does spoil the bunch. Took my 3-week old baby for bloodwork and lab tech couldn't find a vein stuck my son and couldn't do a blood draw due to ineffectively knowing her job. I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised at what a great experience I had here with my daughter. We made an appointment for Friday(6/29/18) at 1:30 and we were taking in right on time. The woman at the front desk noticed it said my daughter should be fasting and seeing it was later in day asked if she was. My daughters dr told me the wrong info and said she didn't have to fast but clearly by going over the tests ordered she needed to be. The woman was so sweet and felt so bad we had come there and they couldn't do it. She told me to come back in the morning and what to tell them and they would table care of us. We went back at 7:15am on Saturday and the waiting room was busy but moving! We sat there for about 5 minutes before getting called up and they had called about 5/6 people back before us. Again, the woman at the front desk was so sweet and friendly and made my daughter feel at ease because she was a little anxious about getting bloodwork. She ended up being the same person who took my daughters blood which really made her feel comfortable because they had been chatting the whole time. On a Saturday morning I was in and out of there in 15 minutes which is like record timing! Definitely the best experience I've had here! read more

I have to tell you that this facility has to be one of the worst places I have ever been for blood drawing. The employees at the front desk could quite possibly be the rudest people on the earth. I get the feeling that they are annoyed by patients, period. The techs drawing the blood are perhaps slightly less rude. I never write reviews on here but I just wanted to let everyone in New Jersey know that this is definitely the best LabCorp I've ever been to in NJ. I've been to the one in Manalapan and some other towns in New Jersey and they all seemed so dirty and sketchy. This location is definitely the best. It was my second time getting lab work done here. They seem to always be busy especially both times I've gone which is in the morning. You do have to wait a little bit but if you schedule an appointment online and fill out your health insurance info prior to the appointment, it will be much faster. I made a 7:30am appointment and they were able to draw my blood by around 8:00am. I wish it was a little bit sooner because I was fasting and was about to faint but a half hour isn't too bad considering there were about 18 people in the waiting room that got there before me. Once the nurse came into draw my blood I didn't even feel the needle, so she did an amazing job. All in all the staff is very friendly even though they are crazy busy. It was pretty smooth although I had to wait a half hour. Hopefully next time when I'm fasting and need bloodwork they can take me at the time of my actual appointment. Either way I would recommend going here if you live in the Middlesex/Monmouth County area. I heard Manasquan has a good location too. read more
