Made a 8:15 am appointment for my husband who has bad poison ivy. It's now 8:30 am and the parking lot is still empty...no one's answering the phone, no email stating the appointment was cancelled. Nothing. And he received an automated text message to confirm the appointment. I understand there's some snow out (nothing crazy) but it would've been nice to receive some type of response saying they're closed or delayed opening due to the weather. Smh read more

DO NOT PAY BY CREDIT CARD! They keep your credit card number on file and then they bill you without authorization or giving you a bill. I called them and they gave me the number for a 3rd party biller and I called them and then it states "connecting you" and then it just hangs up on you. this afc offers a lot of services, and the front desk is always very kind. however, my fiancee and i came here for a work physical and the nurse/medical assistant who took her vitals was not very compassionate. my fiancee has a lot of anxiety around going to the doctor to begin with, and she needed a ppd (intradermal skin test...aka needle in her skin) for work. i ended up having to educate her on what a ppd is/what it does because the nurse/MA did not, and when my fiancee got nervous and said "i don't want to do this" the nurse/MA dropped her arms and said "then i can't do your physical." i am a nurse myself and trust me i understand the hardships of this job, but one of the most important things to have is just a little bit of empathy. just be kind. read more

Took my son here to be checked out for some ear pain. Was greeted very warmly by the front desk ladies , particularly Bree who was sweet and warm to me , especially when I mentioned my son had special needs . Dear Regina Kemper I am writing to express my concern regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit to your office on April 1 2025 9:15 I came in seeking medical attention for persistent symptoms, including a cold and spitting up green phlegm. Based on my understanding, these symptoms could indicate a bacterial infection, and I requested an antibiotic to help clear it up. However, instead of being prescribed an antibiotic, I was given Lidocaine Hydrochloride Oral Topical Solution, which does not address the root cause of my illness. After returning home, my symptoms worsened--I continued coughing and spitting up phlegm, feeling even more unwell. I am deeply concerned about the standard of care I received. If my condition required an alternative treatment approach, I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of why antibiotics were not prescribed and what steps I should take for recovery. Instead, I left feeling ignored and untreated. I would appreciate a follow-up to reassess my condition and ensure I receive the appropriate treatment. I would strongly suggest that patients avoid this place. There are much better places to go to that are honest and who have much better medical staff. This place does Not make an effort or they are just lazy and incompetent to properly bill insurance with appropriate documents. They feel it is ok to directly take money out of your bank account without authorization. They refuse to return calls and refer you to a billing office outside united states. Do not go to this urgent care. They hold your card information on file from any visit without permission. Then they give ot to a 3rd party biller again without permission. I received a bill on March 15th , Saturday, didn't see it until they ran my card on Monday without my permission. When I called they said i had tp call the 3rd party biller. When I called the 3rd party biller I received a recording that I had to call the number on the bill. There was no number on the bill. I tried yo call Milltown back and suddenly could not get past their voice mail. I always wondered why the place was empty when ever I went. Now I know. I'll never go back there. This is my third time coming here , but today was my worse ! First of all refusing not to see me because I didn't have the co pay is crazy !! One chick came from the back , she was a bully , talking to me unprofessional ! She asked how much do I have after I told her I will pay it in Friday ! She kept asking how much do I have , I said $10 she gave me a hard time for a visit ! There was a lady in the lobby that came and gave me $40 bucks because it was unnecessary and the customer wanted it to stop with the torment the worker was putting me through !! I can honestly say this is the absolutely worst medical urgent care center I have ever encountered in my entire life from the moment I walked in until an hour and 15 minutes later I was treated less than a human the person who was at the front desk who refused to give me her name or her supervisors name what is the most on and pathetic harsh and crude human I have ever encountered in my entire life on top of that I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me she did not have to give me her supervisors name her name is Zaza. I had to assume she was the receptionist because she refused to give me her title after she treated me so inhumanely. Immediately after that her coworker approached me in the most unprofessional and inhumane and unethical manner that I have ever been treated in my life needless to say after an hour and 15 minutes of literally being miss treated I was the only patient in the waiting room and was refused treatment by the doctor it turned out I had pneumonia I had a fever I was vomiting I was shaking being a single widowed mom it is a big deal since I moved to this town the day before. I have never ever received such poor treatment in my life and I have chose to file a complaint not only with AFC corporate offices I am filing a complaint through the medical board of ethics. I can honestly say if anyone even attempts to be seen there they are making a very very poor choice the two women the medical assistant and the x-ray technician on February 15 at 10:03 AM were awful. I never write reviews and I would be remiss to leave this on written so if you are in need of a office for urgent medical care I urge you are you a loved ones never to go to this establishment. I try to explain to the two ladies that when a human being is not feeling well and then the condition I was in the to not have the right under a medical oath to treat a patient the way they treated me I could not even get past the front desk to see the doctor he hit in the back through the whole escapade and the two females I don't know the word for it other than tag team. It seems they derive great joy from miss treating me and threatening to call the police if I did not leave due to the fact that I have a certified emotional support dog with me I gave them the documentation and they refused it and on top of that I had my neurologist call and they refused to speak to him and said if I did not leave they would call the police. My emotional support dog for everyone's on edification is a 13 pounds multi-Pooh certified and I had a letter from my neurologist as to why he travels with me I sent them via email numerous items and they pretty much told me to my face "they are privately owned and they don't care quote. The medical assistant also proceeded to tell me she didn't care I was sick and since I just moved here from a different state they did not take my insurance and on that note I said I am so ill I have no problem paying the $175 cash pay and whatever other services were needed. The x-ray technician and the medical assistant did not let me speak to a supervisor, they did not let me get past the plexiglass to see a doctor. And it is a very dangerous situation for someone like myself who has a critically low white blood count they told me too bad go to the ER and if you do not leave we are calling the police. Besides the fact from being emotionally bashed I was astonished how I was treated in my new hometown so that being said you can try for yourself but it is a big mistake. As I end this review lengthy review with that I will put in another call to the corporate headquarters in Alabama and they refused to give me any information not a last name not a title I figured it out on my own nor would they give me their supervisors information. They basically laughed in my face and said we do not have to we are privately owns and if you do not leave we are calling the police. It was pretty pitiful considering I had a fever and I was vomiting when I left my home and I was trembling from being weak to be treated in that manner. I called for a rapid covid test. They said to come in by 6pm and it was available. I drove 3 hours in traffic to get there from Astoria Queens. I called several times on the way and no one picked up the phone.. At 5:45pm I got there and they said they were done testing and that they met there limit for the day. Waste of time. read more

This is my first review as I never really write them and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I came here for flu symptoms- I asked for a flu test. They gave me a flu, Covid and RSV PCR. I was assured I didn't need the rapid. It has been DAYS waiting on results that I was assured would come to me the next day. I called and asked why the hold up and the lady was extremely rude and didn't help. I wouldn't waste your time here. They are going to end up killing someone based on the lack of medical skills and the lack of care. Go to another urgent care where you will be treated like a human. read more

I am beyond disappointed with the treatment my son received at this facility today. We walked in to get his sports physical for special Olympics. He was required to put on a mask on. I asked if they could please accommodate, as wearing the mask would create an issue for him. The front desk staff (VERY nicely) said unfortunately the PA will require him to have one on. I agreed and as predicted this caused a small behavior for my son. The PA on staff then spoke with me and questioned whether my son would sit through an exam, if he would allow her to examine him and be able to cooperate. Im pretty thick skinned. However, this PA was beyond callous, insensitive to my sons needs, and truly made me feel so uncared for, and unwilling to accommodate a child with special needs. Made no attempt to even talk to him. I took the paperwork back and left and will go elsewhere. What a disgrace this woman was. Again... thick skinned... but this broke my heart to be reminded that ignorance still exists. "Our staff spoke with you after your visit and assured you that no one in our center would ever make light of, laugh at, or discuss our patience case information inappropriately" To the owner, This is the exact reason her review was written - because to say your "staff would never" shows no accountability, and worse implies that what she heard never happened. This does not "assure" the patient. I am her roommate and I also heard Avery Brown walk out of my room, shut the door, and say "Yup. ANOTHER POSITIVE". The nurses then started talking specifically about my Mexico trip and how I'm unvaxxinated, and exposed to covid. This was followed by someone saying "I need to go outside. I just need a second". I heard this ALL with the door shut. The questions the medical assistant asked us as patients were also not consistent before they tested. Later that day we went to Monmouth Medical Center and when I told them I had covid and tested positive - they said "no problem, sweetie, Come on in. We have been around it all day." I realized that their experience and compassion showed, and we were not crazy earlier that day. So to say your staff would "never" do that is the reason why we are enraged. I've been to this walk in clinic at least a dozen times over the last few years. I have seen nurse practitioners, and doctors , both have been professional, thorough and when they thought I needed more testing, a CT scan , they suggested I go to the ER. They are absolutely amazing, the staff, a nurse with either a Polish or Possibly Russian accent, is always friendly, asks the right questions and is awesome. Due to chronic spinal issues I have various procedures once or twice a month- during COVID, NJ requires a negative test for any surgeries. The staff at AFC in Aberdeen has been my go to for testing. I have been there MANY times since the summer. The staff, ALL of the staff, have been great. Pleasant, understanding of my situation and in one case really helped me out when my PRC results weren't back and taking me in for a rapid test, last minute on the day of my surgery. Is the line around the building, now that it's winter, awful? YES Have I had to leave my info and wait for a call back hours later?-YES But what seems to be forgotten by some of these reviewers... they are overwhelmed, day after day- people that signed up to be nurse, doctors, support staff are bearing the main brunt of becoming a lab/testing facility for COVID across the country- all the while, putting themselves at a greater risk. They started their careers wanting to help sick and injured patients not Fay after day, hour after hour, patient after patient sticking swabs up people's noses! Not to mention, dealing with people having major anxiety because they think they were exposed 3 weeks ago after their brother's, sister in law's daughter tested positive and they all had dinner together- never mind that is way past when they would have already been sick but they "just want to be sure". And yes, I heard variations of this story as I sat there time after time waiting for my turn. I say give them a break, calm down and most importantly- BE NICE! They are doing the best they can. In my view, throughout these months, they have gone over and above for each patient. Listening to every story of why someone needs to be tested and politely smiling. well went there on Friday Dec 3rd with a cold waiting over half an hr in the room before the Dr came in did the exam gave me a covid text was not able to give me any meds until the results came back she gave me cough syrup which helped a bit. I was told she would call me Sat with the results as well sent meds to Pharmacy she promise me well never heard from her on Sat called at 3pm they said they would call back never did ,get an email about 6pm with results never was told how to open email so that took me about 30 mins to figure out. So then I said great they will call in for some meds was happy well guess what never happened !! called on Sunday they said they will call me back never heard back from anyone called this am still have no solution!! never will I go here again !!! read more

The service in the clinic was fine. But since there are so many other places to choose from, go somewhere else. It turns out I needed a prescription and I am shocked at how bad the follow up is with this clinic. I visited on Saturday morning and was told that a prescription was being called into my pharmacy. It never was, and I've called THREE times to ask and have been told a message was being left for whoever would call it in. It's now THREE DAYS later and still no prescription. The follow up service couldn't be any worse afterwards. If all you need is a covid test, it's fine, just don't waste your time for anything more than that. read more

The medical assistant let everyone in and said there was no front desk person, to check us in so we had to wait. She took a copy of my insurance card and ID. So I only waited online for 90 minutes for my COVID-19 test. That was on November 14, Saturday. I was told it could take up to three days or so and of course I understood. I was told they would notify me either way, positive or negative. I called three days later, five days later, seven days later and they still had no results. I had finally had enough and today which is November 24, 10 DAYS LATER, I decided to walk there and ask why it's taking so long. The nice girl in front said my results came back negative on November 18. I asked why it was no one notified me and worse off,, why is it when I called on the 18th, 19th, 20th they said the results do not come in yet? There are no answers. Totally unacceptable read more

Doctor was BEYOND RUDE to me. I hurt my finger and explained to him what I did (not like that mattered, he did not even write what I told him on the history and wrote something else) and he continued to touch my finger after I said "ow that hurts" he replied "yeah I know". He said "okay you are going to need an xray" then just walked out of the room, huffed his breath and said "this is unbelievable". I let it go and just was like okay whatever. Then, my xray comes back and nothing is broken, which I am very happy about. He comes in and says "nothing is broken, here call this number for an orthopedic". I asked what I should do in the meantime since it is most likely a sprain or torn ligaments (I work in the medical field). He replied "um I don't know, just call". He then walked out of the room, did not say a word to me. Didn't even suggest ice, rest, etc. I left and immediately called the office manager. I am lucky that I have a medical background so I was able to wrap my finger when I came home, considering he wouldn't even do that for me. He said "oh I don't know it might hurt". He also was making personal phone calls on his phone from the desk while I was getting an x-ray (I saw him). It seemed that I was taking up too much of his time. I am beyond disgusted with this place. They were not even busy so I don't understand the lack of manners from a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. Save your money and go to your PCP or another urgent care in the area. Didn't go to an urgent care to be treated in this manner. I have been here before this and honestly have no desire to go back. Just for the record, it takes A LOT for me to complain and write reviews about places. I get everyone has bad days, but as a doctor you cannot be this rude and treat patients like this.
