I usually use the Bridgewater office. Extremely efficient! Office staff is kind. Don't be intimated by a waiting room. They have a simple system to check in. Bring something to read:) Chat with the person next to you.They list your first initial and last name on screen so you can see how many folks are ahead of you. You can sit outside on a few benches, even wait in your car. Once they call your name and you show them your prescription, you go straight to the back or wait a bit longer in the waiting area. I went today, Tuesday, March 7th for a routine bloodwork screening. When I walked in, I requested to go through human screening and introduction. Giving my license and medical insurance card to a human to read and confirm I am here. I was given a stern face and pointed towards the corner of the room where there is a machine that will scan both of these things. I than said, I would much rather go through this with you, a human. She shook her head no and didnt allow me to go through with this. As sad as this is, I obliged. not even 10 minutes later as I'm waiting in the waiting room, a man walks in, asks for the same request in a more demanding tone, and is than given the ability to facilitate with human to human contact. He gave her the information, license, and asked how long it will be. Im writing this review because I didn't receive the same treatment. Steve is amazingly kind and competent. Probably one of the few if not only redeeming qualities about this place. Everyone else looks like they hate their job and dont like you. Often they complain and seem easily irked. Joe in particular (usually at the front) can seem very annoyed. Waiting time can sometimes be a nightmare as well, and pls get that dang front kiosk fixed. I went to 4 LabCorp locations in 2 days for my pre-employment requirements. Of all 4 ( Lawrenceville, Princeton, Somerset and Bridgewater), i had the best experience in Bridgewater. All 3 locations had the same experience, as if the employees dont want to work. They dont smile, they rush you and they are rude even for important questions. At Bridgewater, the techs are nice and do small talks even though they look busy. Sneda, drew my lab and she made me feel comfortable. I am afraid of needles but she allowed me to calm down and never rushed me. Lo and behold, she has the lightest hand too. Thank you Sneda! read more

I wish I could draw my own blood work!!!!!! I've never had a problem with this location previously, and I went in thinking that it'd be okay mid-morning on a Wednesday this time (weekends it's typically super crowded). Well...they made me wait over an hour...when I'd been fasting...and took other people who came in after me who didn't have appointments (I did)...and this is only a week after I just had laparoscopic Endometriosis Excision surgery, so I'm in pain and wearing an abdominal binder to boot. They also made another woman and her partner wait almost an hour and she was about to faint-he got up and yelled at them. I felt so bad for them. This other patient and I were simply forgotten and ignored. This place is severely understaffed and overbooked. Run for your life!!!!!!! UPDATE::: (7/31) So---Whoever took me in that day in June at this location filed my crap with the WRONG insurance company, and I've had to follow up twice so far with both my insurance as well as with LabCorp. I don't understand, I called my insurance and they told me that nothing had changed, that I should only be paying a standard copay of $20 for the same venipuncture I had drawn in February, that was drawn in June. But I don't know. They said they never received anything from LabCorp, yet LabCorp keeps saying that my insurance is ignoring their claims. Either way, I'm not paying $200 for a basic blood test that I have to have routinely done. read more

I went here today for a blood draw. The technician who drew my blood was extremely unfriendly. She spoke only a couple of words. The floor was dirty!! What kind of lab has a filthy floor? I will never go back to this location again. When I got home, I removed the bandaid she put on. There was a lot of blood! I have a black and blue mark about the size of a nickel. They are the worst, very rude and unprofessional staff. The man behind the desk should not be in customer service as he is rude and condescending. I walked into the wrong room to drop off a specimen and was yelled at by a lab tech and when I asked where the drop off bin was he points and says over there. I didn't see anything where he was pointing and asked again and he again pointed and said over there. Really you couldn't have walked me over to show me or taken it from me. Crowded, slow, nasty. I miss my old site in Green Brook which was an easy, quick solution to getting blood drawn. I arrived for my 8 am appointment (which took me 2 weeks to book) and the waiting room was packed. I waited over 45 minutes to get my blood drawn. We were all standing in the hall waiting to be called on. This is no way to treat patients or people. The phlebotomy staff was personable and dedicated, but obviously overworked (thus the overflowing waiting areas). I'll do everything I can to not return to this site. read more

I had a 12:00'appointment and arrived 15 min early like requested. They were quite busy , and I waiting another 30 min. to be taken care of, which was no big deal to me . I'm always a hard stick! There was student training at their facility which poked me once,after explaining to her that usually it's very hard to get my blood she called a different tech. She was a Hispanic girl with long curly hair & she was able to get my blood in one shot! No bruising and very gentle! I will definitely be going back. Had no issues was in and out in less than 10 minutes for routine lab work; only one other person in the waiting room. I'm always press for time so that worked on my favor. Staff was okay. Horrible!!!! My son looked like he was going to pass out soon after she put the needle in his arm. I told her 100x he looked like he was ready to pass out. I asked if she had any juice or anything to give him. She told me I could go get him water from the waiting room...which was like a zoo! I gave him the water, he drank it, and then his eyes rolled back in his head! I was screaming at her to do something!!!! She moved like a snail to get other people. He started having convulsions and I moved out so the other incompetent people could come into the room. Next thing he was on the floor and awake. HORRIBLE!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Supposedly sent my results the day after but as of a month later my doctor still hasn't received them, and they were completely unhelpful with resolving the problem. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with Labcorp- it's been a continuous struggle to get my results on time or at all. I've switched to going to care station in linden or the walk in clinic in south Plainfield. It's far, but they're more reliable. read more

We had a scheduled appointment on Saturday, and I had to bring my 1 year old to get a blood test. Naturally, I was anticipating screaming, but the phelbotomists were great and were able to get the tests done relatively quickly. Since I had made an appointment weeks before, I had to wait no more than 5 minutes before I was called. They verified my insurance information quickly. It was a no hassle appointment. I highly recommend everyone to schedule an appointment before you go, otherwise the wait times are likely longer on the weekend. read more

I made an online reservation for an employment drug screening test at 2pm, arrived on time for my scheduled appointment, checked in with ease, sat and waited for my name to be called. After a few minutes my name was called and I was informed by a less than friendly receptionist that drug screening tests aren't performed after 2pm. I was perplexed and inquired why I was able to make an appointment for 2pm, the response given was that it's "already 2:08." Then I asked when the next available appointment was. The woman shoved a document in my face and told me to sit down and read it. It was a document outlining what would happen during the drug test. I read it, returned it and she called to the technician that he'd have another drug test. The technician retorted that the machine was already shut down for the day, but the receptionist came to my defense, "but she has an appointment." I waited for the technician to call me in, the only machine I saw was a computer, I assume that's why it took about a minute for him to be ready for me. The technician was less than thrilled to be doing my test, but I wouldn't be particularly happy if I was collecting pee samples all day either, never mind that this specific pee test started 8 minutes after the last pee test of the day is supposed to take place. I'm very grateful that they took me for my scheduled appointment and I didn't have to reschedule, but they should really edit their scheduling software to adhere to their own policies as I can't imagine I'm the first person that this has happened to. I have to get my blood checked every six months because I take Lipitor for my cholesterol and my doctor has to see if it's affecting my liver. This is where my insurance requires I go. Let me just say this place has improved tremendously from when I started going here. I can't watch when they're drawing my blood. If I don't see the needle, I'm fine. A few years ago, the technician who was drawing my blood scolded me for being a big baby for not watching!!! I also used to bruise like a peach after getting blood drawn. I went for routine lab work. I was terrified and this is first time I've had blood drawn in over 15 years. The office staff was wonderful. I was seen quickly and they were all super nice.
