This was easily the best experience I've ever had at a blood draw center. The reception team was both caring and efficient--they kept everything moving smoothly while still making patients feel comfortable. One moment that really stood out was a receptionist taking the time to call a patient's name in Chinese and genuinely wanting to get the pronunciation right. That level of thoughtfulness says a lot. Magdalene handled my blood draw, and she was incredible--gentle, professional, and made the whole process as painless as it could possibly be. AND I received my results via email the next day! I'll absolutely be coming back to this location for all future labs. Highly recommend! read more

Very difficult to get appointment in the Washington DC area. Even going out 25 miles, 3 weeks or more. The lab tech was nice, but new. I had to instruct her on how to use a butterfly for 7 vials of blood. 7 days later, STILL no results. No one to call. Just a webform. When I filled it out, then suddenly my test order showed up but no results. I have Drs visits tomorrow and this is why they tell me they NEVER use Labcorp. Website and authentication hideously broken. read more

How does getting blood drawn yield a 5 star rating? When your Phlebotomist is named Ms. Venita who's spirit, energy & patient care is top notch. The Express Check In Kiosks made registering/checking in a breeze. I was called up a few minutes later to present my ID cards. Another few minutes & the ray of sunshine Ms. Venita called me with a "Please Ms. L., come on back", to one of the many lab stations to draw my blood...30 seconds or less I was done. From the lobby, to the lab stations & Restrooms, everything is bright, organized & well maintained. I always appreciate individuals in the medical field who truly enjoys their job, it makes receiving medical care much easier & bearable. Such a wonderful interaction with Ms. Venita, bless you Ms. V., we need more of you. read more

This is the first review I have ever written in my life but the customer service here was so outrageously rude and unprofessional I had to comment. I am a health care professional and will never under any circumstances recommend going here. If I could do zero stars I would read more

The self check-in system was the only choice to get signed in, and the system says you can wait anywhere and we will text you. Nothing happened for an hour and it seems all people in the waiting room have been waiting. No one was in the check in area to answer questions. The system also doesn't send an initial text to say you are in line. Finally someone shows up and says the system is down and says we are rebooting the system and we will get to you (when we get to you). read more

Very clean, modern facility. I was in and out of my appointment for a routine lab draw within 20 minutes. Check-in process was easy on the kiosks. The person who drew my blood was also the person sitting at the front desk. She efficiently and painlessly drew blood, and it was over quickly. I have an aversion to getting pricked with needles (doesn't everyone?) but found the experience as pleasant as possible. Would recommend as a location for bloodwork. read more

The staff here have the worst attitude, especially the lady at the front desk. I was told I would probably have to wait twenty minutes so I go upstairs to my Orthopedist to ask a question, which took less than 5 minutes. Upon returning, the lady at the front desk said my name was called and throws a hissy fit like it was the end of the world that I missed my calling. She then tells one of the technicians this who also has a look of disbelief. It's okay, folks! The world is not going to burn! I was completely fine with waiting again since the place was empty. She also sends me back upstairs to the orthopedist because she needs the test codes for the blood test, which are actually clearly marked on the referral. She just didn't understand them. The blood extraction itself took less than 5 minutes. Appointments not necessary. They take walk-ins. read more

The technician's name is Clarence. I am giving my experience at LabCorp a 5 star review because the actual drawing of blood was quick and absolutely pain free. The other complaints I read are very accurate. The parking lot is a disaster. When you combine tight spaces with senior drivers, it becomes a unofficial demolition derby. I have personally witnessed 2 accidents and I have only been there 3 times. The lady at the front desk could be nicer. That is an understatement. If you go at lunch or after work there will be a huge line. If you go at 2pm it's empty. And if you are lucky enough to have Clarence you can be in and out in under 15 minutes. Clarence keep doing what you are doing. read more

Labcorp - Steve E - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Bethesda, Maryland

One of the worst experience one can have getting basic blood work. The receptionist was rude and raised her voice unnecessarily to multiple visitors who appeared to be recent immigrants. In the lab, the technician took on a berating tone and caused a tense atmosphere when her job really should be calming the visitors' nerves. While the technician was skilled at drawing blood, she could use significant training in basic manners, friendliness and how to deal with speakers of other languages. There's a Quest Diagnostic in the same office park we'll be switching to in the future. read more

Super friendly staff and the check in process was very well managed. I got in and out so fast I didn't even have to pay for parking!

Horrible. If I could give it negative 5 stars, I would because it deserves it. I thought the Wheaton location was bad, little did I know. Lab Corp charges so much but they are so cheap when it comes to staffing. I went in and they only had one phlebotomist doubling as check in clerk too. It took over one hour to be called. It is ridiculous. Yet first thing they asked me for was my credit card and showed me an estimated fee of $1,000 if my insurance didn't pay. They are quick to charge! The least they can do is hire and train people. Bottom line: I will not go to doctors who do not have a lab collection in their practice. No more. That will be my first question whenever I need to see a new doctor again. Not worth anyone's time. My new criteria is a doctor with an onsite phlebotomist. Save the headache. read more

I had to have a fasting blood test. I made the earliest appointment available on Friday, which was 10:40am. I got there at 10:20 and the waiting room was full. I signed in, noted I had an appointment and was told to sit and wait; I was next on the list. No one called me to see my paperwork, id or insurance until 11:20. (Why bother with an appointment system if you are going to take walk-ins first?) Once they got that I was sent back to have the blood drawn. The woman who was to draw my blood said she'd be right back and came back at 11:40. When she realized I had been fasting she talked about her morning coffee (screw you seriously)... then she tried both wrists and my arms and couldn't find a vein. She stabbed away at one wrist and slide it in and out, digging around for one and then repeated with the second. Finally, she got a coworker who after cleaning his hands from handling urine samples in the lab (I sat watching him while I waited for the woman), he found a vein right away and was done in seconds. I left with four bandages on my arms, and I walked out into the lobby and the people in the lobby looked in fear. All this for just two vials of blood. My husband was desperately trying not to laugh because I was annoyed and really hungry. read more

Standard incompetent Labcorp. Under staffed so it's not the fault of the people a the desk. Like down the hall, no one giving instructions. Only supposed to be 5 people in waiting area. There are 9. Tried car checkin which just confused them, even though it's a service they offer. read more

The facility was clean. The process was mystifying. I was a walk-in. Neither my doctor nor the Lab Corp materials I saw indicated one could make an appointment. I needed only to provide a blood sample for my endocrinologist. The waiting area showed a list of persons, some of whom had appointments, others of whom were walk-ins. I was called well before many on the list. I have no idea why. There were also mystifying examples of people being called and then others going in more quickly. We're they ones with appointments? Who knows? The person at the desk was not particularly communicative. She also asked questions answered in the intake process entered electronically and, in one instance, seemed to lead one older lady to give up and leave. If I need to go to Lab Corp again I'll try a different location. read more

Absolutely unprofessional in my 15 years of working in the medical field this is the most unprofessional lab I have ever been to. The receptionist was loud rude and put out patient information so the entire room could hear this was on 10/4 at 10:55. The patient who was being helped spoke a different language which in no way needed this level of non professionalism. Putting out personal demographic information in a loud and pompous manner was uncalled for and rude. If you don't know hippaa law don't work in the medical field. read more

This location for LabCorp is one of our favorites. My family member is on a medication where he needs to be tested monthly, so we know the staff. The front desk lady is super nice and holds down the fort. She balances the walk-ins with the appointments and greets you with a nice smile. If busy, there is about a 20 minute wait time. The waiting room has a TV and plenty of magazines to keep you comfortable. The technicians do their job with accuracy and great knowledge. They have the 'A' team working this office. Also, if you are nice and courteous to them, they will be nice back. The only thing I do not like is the pay for parking. This is the reason this LabCorp location gets a 4 star versus 5 stars. read more

This Labcorps location is poorly run and service has gone straight downhill in last 6 months. Though they are in temporary quarters right now - main suite undergoing renovation - service was much better when they first moved into temporary suite, Several weeks ago, I went there and there was just one person ahead of me to check in. Express check in kiosk was set up & I used it. But I still had to wait about 10-15 minutes before technicians at check in desk called me to finish up check in. I've experienced this at another Labcorps location in Bethesda - which is why I switched to this one. Even if I'm only person in line, I've n had to wait 10 plus minutes to be called - staff indifferent to waiting time I went today, about 4-5 people in line before me - and observed same issue - 7-10 minutes to check in each patient. Saw I would be there at least 45 minutes before they even reached me to check me in at desk. I left - by which time I had to incur parking charge as well, because I was parked over 15 minutes. Labcorps runs this office like a cattle call, clearly indifferent to customer convenience and patience. Though this office is 5 minutes from my house, I plan to return to having test done at doctor's office in downtown DC. Even with drive, would get out as quickly as at this office. And he doesn't use Labcorps for tests. read more

This location in the Camalier Building off Fernwood Road in Bethesda deserves far more than the two star rating it had before I left my five star review. I almost didn't come to this location because of your old reviews, but they had the earliest available appointment. The staff was incredibly welcoming, fun, and efficient. There was no wait, even though I was a few minutes late for my appointment. The blood draw was quick and painless. They are back in Suite 300, so ignore the other reviews. Plenty of parking. Count on a $4 minimum, unless you're out in under 15 minutes. I will be sure to come back for my next blood draw. read more

In the past years both my husband and myself have received erroneously high potassium levels. 3 times doctors told us to go immediately to the emergency room for EKG and repeat blood work. Each time the repeated blood work showed the potassium within normal level and normal EKG. This lab error is caused by poor handling of the blood sample, aggitation, standing too long, leaving arm band on too long, etc. I would watch an operator shake the tube and ask me to make a fist which are both contraindicted for this blood test. Meanwhile we lose days in the emergency room and pay for additional tests. Apart for the errors, they triple book appointments and without appointment, the wait is unreasonable and the staff unconcerned. read more

I've been here twice for blood draws and never had any issues. Appointments were easy to make on the website, and I didn't find the waiting times overly long. I'm usually a pretty hard stick and prone to fainting once the needle is removed. Worst place to get your blood work done! Receptionist is RUDE!!! They have the dumbest way to let the patient know it's their turn. Going to labcorp is usually such a drag and I never thought I would be compelled to give one a 5 star rating! I went to this Labcorp for a timed blood draw and I purposefully set the appointment for 15 mins early because I assumed I have to wait for a long time (which has been my experience in other locations). I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the waiting room was and the front desk staff was cheerful and helpful! They were ready to see me right away so I actually had to make them wait so my timed blood draw would be at the right time. They were very careful to be sure they took it at exactly the right time; even had my arm lying there ready as they watched the clock! Wow! So, when I had to do this blood draw again a few months later, I went to this location again, even though it's not close to me. My experience was exactly the same. Fernwood Bethesda location - I am in total shock that there is a business like this in my neighborhood. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life and I am over 30 years old. I made an appointment that still has me sitting here one hour later. There were about 6 patients to 2 staffers when I arrived and they closed an hour after I arrived. The two women were bickering about where to seat me to get my blood drawn while I just stood there with no strength to even curse them out because I had to fast for 12 hours before the appointment.
