I went in with a severe sore throat, swelling so bad my breathing was getting hard. I could hardly swallow. I was seen quickly, given an IV steroid, pain meds and saline. They even gave me a warm heated blanket while I was given my IV. They gave me a full panel test and take home results. Dr Montadher was so kind and caring. You could tell he truly cared about you and it's something I've rarely experienced in my life. I wish I could remember the nurses name that helped me, she was an absolute angel. This is where I will go anytime I'm in need of medical care from here on out. Clean facility, great care and genuinely kind people.

Quick check in process and taken back to your clean and sterile private room within 15 minutes from arriving. Everyone from the front desk to the imaging area was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The nurses were thorough, professional, and caring. The radiology tech was one of the nicest people I've met in a minute! The doctor actually spoke to me like a real person. This was in stark contrast to the CareNow clinic I visited earlier in the day wherein the doc stared at his computer screen as he typed the whole time he was in the room with me. At Ally, the doc had a conversation and let me have a voice in my care plan. She actually seemed like she cared about what was going on with me even though we didn't really figure it out. She made she I was safe to go about life and try to figure it out with my pcp, which was all I needed. I had seen the Ally logo around but didn't know what it was. Now I know they are my emergency medicine ally! Hope I don't have to go back, but know I'll choose Ally over anywhere else if I do.

Amidst a global pandemic, I needed some tests for allergies and the like. It's important. But hearing about the waiting rooms and all that jazz, I wanted to find something mobile. The first company I tried was beyond challenging. So I looked again, and found Phlebotomist on Wheels. I was starting to give up on this, but these folks were a Godsend. They listened carefully to my concerns (the prior company had everything in one bag, with only one set of gloves - yikes!), and walked carefully through how we'd approach it on-site at my building. Extra gloves and even a gown. In a world where you're a number in the system, Krystal and Kendra treated me like a person. Kendra showed up early, and was so accommodating, even when we added a few tests last minute and on a hot hot day in Austin (we did the test outside). Gross part: The needle came out at one point (probably me moving my arm), but she set me at ease, and with a professional care I see from the best pilots, moved forward. While I won't go into detail about the tests, let me just say that this wasn't an easy set. And she rocked it. She even used a smaller needle as I'd told her that getting stuck can be quite painful for me. Again - I'm used to a lack of service, a lack of care, a lack of understanding. POW is the opposite - service, caring, and as Kendra said truly treating others how we'd want to be treated. In my professional life, I have surveyed customer service systems, carefully analyzing what separates positive experiences from not-so-positive. I give POW an A+++ Very impressed. I've had…read morefamily members be hospitalized here both in the med center and the rehab across the turnaround entrance, and when I come to visit I sometimes pop into the cafeteria to get something before going to see them. They have several parking garages that offer short term parking for free (like 30 min or less), but otherwise unless you have validation, you do have to pay. The spots are kind of small and so are the signs in the parking garage, so pay close attention to make sure you're driving in the right place. Overall though, this is a pretty good med center in my opinion that offers most of the major medical subspecialties you may need for your care. The inpatient rehab is also one of the best in Austin, and they are one of the only facilities that offers a driving test if there's a medical concern for someone's safety re: driving (e.g. in a patient with cognitive impairment/early dementia).

After several days inpatient at Ascension Seton during which I had large amounts of spinal fluid leaking through my bandages I was eager to get to St David's to begin my recovery. I had been to St David's Rehabilitation Hospital in 2022 with excellent recovery after cervical spine surgery and two weeks of physical therapy and delicious meals three times a day. I spent four to five hours a day in physical and occupational therapy. I wanted to recover with them after my difficult procedure. I was once again very happy with my rehabilitation. My doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and other staff couldn't have been more skillful, caring, and kind. Go here, if you want great care and excellent rehabilitation. You'll be very happy during and after your rehabilitation.

The food here is pretty good too, and they offer free parking for visitors of folks staying -- ask the nurses at the charge desk and they'll point you to the QR codes to scan and validate. Do note that the elevators/front door lock after 7p so you have to call your contact there to get help from the nursing staff if you try to visit later than that, but otherwise it's easy to navigate.

There's some…read moreconstruction going on just outside the surgical area on the lower level, and it appears as if the waiting room may be relocated downstairs. When we were there, the waiting room was on the same level as the parking lot. I was very impressed with everyone we met, from the nurses to the doctors. Communication was excellent. Text messages were used to keep me informed of my family member's status. Everything seemed to be efficiently run. The only suggestion I have is that the area near the windows in the waiting room be cleaned of dead bugs.
