I absolutely abhor going to these places but I feel really confident at this location. The staff is seasoned and has been drawing blood for a long time. The front desk staff is really nice and will get you in and out. Make sure you bring your physical lab orders because they're not always faxed. Got to CPL Marble Falls at 8:00am for blood draw. Waited excessive time (1 hour and 15 minutes) before being called back, apparently because only 1 tech was on duty taking blood samples. Waited another 20 minutes for tech to come in. Tech was then unable to find the vein and gave up after 3 painful unsuccessful tries. She called for help from the tech at the front desk , who was handling the admin. That tech was competent and finally got the blood draw done. This begged the question as to who should have been doing the blood draws. I finally was able to leave after 1 hour and 45 minutes. In essence, I would avoid the CPL Marble Falls facility due to lack of qualified personnel, poor management of the process, and excessive wait times. read more

I had lab here on Friday and the person who drew my blood did a wonderful job but the people who processed my labs failed to do some of the most important tests I needed done It wasn't until I called on Tuesday, but anyone noticed that these test had not been done and now I have to have them redone. I went back to the location to have this done and not one person apologized or even made an effort with my frustrations. I also was asked to present my insurance again so that they could bill me again. Obviously someone there is not doing their job. Be careful. read more

I have been to this location many times and have always had a great experience. There is very rarely any wait and the staff is very professional and friendly. Recently, I went there right when they opened and there was a longer wait than usual. The wait was about 30 minutes but the staff was excellent as usual. read more

I had blood drawn here and while sticking me with the needle, the technician was making anti-trans comments. She said, "People are crazy these days. Girls say theyre boys and boys say they are girls. Im just waiting for a day that a person comes in and says theyre a cat." I wish I had asked her name but I didn't. She was a middle aged white woman, relatively thin and petite stature. read more

This is my preferred location for blood testing. The front desk guy is super nice and the staff who do blood draws are friendly. And the most important- they are very good about getting back to your clinic with the results. It can get crowded in the mornings and evenings but this location is very efficient with how they manage the crowd. read more

I was 4th in line at 7:15 am. They open at 8 am! And the cars full of people kept coming. By 8 am there were at least 40 peeps lined up. But I was in and out before 8:30. A fantastic young man, Kevin, drew my blood for a routine check up. I never felt the needle jab and enjoyed his happy gracious attitude. Next time I need a jab I will most likely come here. I came back to this location TWICE!!! The first time the stuck me 5 times and didn't get any blood. Claimed that I was dehydrated so I went to drink water and told me to come back. The framing was as if something was wrong with me. Stuck me 3 times and said that I would have to go to a different location. They try to rush you in and out of the office and DO NOT take their time. They didn't try any good techniques such has warm heat pad or pressure cuffs. They were not patient. This location should be reported. People do not have time to come and go when they lead busy lives and have jobs and families to take care of. Do it right the first time. read more

I waited over an hour to have blood drawn for analysis, a procedure that takes (and took) no more than two minutes. When I suggested that they should have an "express line" for those who just need a quick blood draw, the woman (whose name tag said training supervisor) said "How would we know who just needs a quick blood draw?" I didn't have as bad of an experience as the previous reviewer, but I won't be going here again. First, it just feels gross. I'm sure it's 'cleaned' everyday but I know it's not that expensive to have someone scrub the grout, or do some touch up on the door trims (that's the stuff that is glaringly obvious) Second, I know it's not my family doctor but they couldn't have made it any more impersonal if they tried. These people at least need to fake that they are happy to be at work, instead of acting like robots. Try looking the person in the eye the next time you ask them a question. Then after they called me back to a sad dirty little room, the girl strapped my arm up to draw blood, unstrapped it so she could run back out to check what she was even testing me for! I have mild anxiety about needles and to be built up then told just kidding, was beyond stressful. To top it off, I had to listen to her chew gum with her mouth wide open. Sick. This location is by far the worst CPL I have been to in this area. I had 2 big issues with them, which were both costly and dangerous. The first one, from the best that I can remember, was on September 23rd. The wrong lab tests were run and I didn't get the results until the next day, despite the need for urgency clearly stated on the lab slip. Unfortunately certain levels had dropped dramatically and there was the potential that I could have had a very bad thing happen had we found out much later. This was the point at which I vowed to not go back to that location unless there was truly no other choice. The second is something I just found out about. On October 14th and on November 4th, I had to return to that location because of a scheduling and transportation issue and it was my only option for those days. I recently received 2 bills in the mail - one for $296.75 and one for $151.25. When I called to find out why I owed this money, I found out that this location never indicated that I had insurance, despite the fact that I have given my insurance information on a number of occasions and I always verify it with them. In addition to these issues, they rarely are able to locate my electronic lab records (even though my doctor's office told me to tell them where to look), they're consistently rude, and frequently running late. I'm consistently shocked at their incompetence and feel that something finally needs to be said, because it's dangerous, expensive, and stressful. read more

I have been to this location twice. The first was for some routine blood work and it was fine. The gentleman who checked me in also took my blood and was quick and efficient. The second time, however, was a complete nightmare. After my bloodwork came back with some elevated insulin, my doctor told me to go for a 3 hour glucose tolerance test just to make sure it's not more serious. I'm aware this test is usually done on pregnant women, but seeing as I have PCOS, my doctor felt this would be an appropriate test to use. The first woman who checked me in and took my fasting blood sample was okay enough. It was early in the morning, so it was fine she wasn't overly friendly. She handed me my drink and told me to wait an hour for the next draw. I quietly read my book in the lobby as people entered and left. It was a pretty slow morning. A heavier-set nurse entered with Chick-Fil-A and seemed to have no qualms about having her food out right at the front desk. I ignored her at first because she was quite a talker. However, as Fate had it, she was the nurse to take my first hour blood draw. The conversation went similarly to this: Nurse: "How are you feeling? Are you tired?" Me: "Yeah..." Nurse: "Yeah, the test tends to do that to you, it probably doesn't help that you're SO pregnant." Me: "I'm NOT pregnant." Nurse: "Oh, you're not? This is usually the test that pregnant ladies take." Me: "Well I'm not." It was then followed by her asking about my previous blood work. It's funny how she felt it was totally acceptable to pry into my medical history, but not apologize for being so rude. I went back into the waiting room to continue my test. During this time, however, this nurse was talking VERY loudly. For the most part, it was about how she had lost 20 inches and was ready for that "beach bod". Now, I'm the first to admit that I am overweight, but she was relatively the same size as me, and my body is in no way beach ready. I hope this woman means something a little more conservative than a bikini, yikes. She was very obnoxious, and was talking very loudly about personal things, and even went as far as to bring up a mistake another employee had made and say she would help them cover it up. Uhh, what!!? Not only this, but she was openly talking about her extreme dislike of her supervisor while there were several 'customers' within earshot. Thankfully I had another nurse draw my blood for the last 2 draws, but this experience was enough for me to choose somewhere else to get bloodwork done from now on!! read more

Not really sure if this location is plagued with problems. But heck if you want some issues step right up to the blood show. Your guaranteed to have some dang problems here. I've got two giant bones to pick with this location. 1st: Came in early in the morning for blood draws, woman does everything correct and has be apply pressure to the blood draw point. Well low and behold no it wasn't, fast-forward to arrive at work. My SLEEVE no joke is covered in BLOOD. Even with the bandage she applied to my arm didn't help with the clotting. I'm sorry how can I help you today, oh my arm is covered in blood. Don't worry that's because pressure wasn't applied correctly.... Yeah I really enjoy freaking out and struggling on how to wash my shirt and dry it in the microwave! 2nd: Finally got insured couldn't wait to get my blood drawn, hand the young lady my insurance card, YEP fast-forward again. Month later I'm receiving bills with no insurance applied to my bill because they young lady never entered... WHY did you even ask for it if you didn't finish up your part! WTF seriously woman, it's not that difficult I've audited medical bills and entered the bills. It's not rocket science. Boom, boom and entered and hit send. Yeah I only liked one the of the ladies because she was nice when she does the work. But screw this much error it's not even worth the convenience anymore. More like a headache. read more

They don't care to be there and it shows in how they treat their customers. First it was ice cold in the waiting area. Then it was super loud with three screaming babies and a mom who ignored it all and I saw minimal effort by her to comfort the children. In her defense she may have had a really really rough day and just couldn't deal anymore. Then, the phlebotomist. . Cute fella. But Zero critical thinking skills. Why would you scrub the site with alcohol only to immediately wipe it off WITH a NON-STERILE gauze before sticking me? I was appalled and stopped him, asked him to repeat with the alcohol wipe and let it dry. That is the only way alcohol kills pathogens; by letting it dry/evaporate. What schooling did he take? Or training/standards that completely ignores basic infection control? I was not going to let myself pick up a bloodstream infection so I spoke up. I hope everyone that reads this speaks up or goes someplace else and does the same thing; speak up for yourself!!!! I do this for a living. Everyday I teach people basic practices that prevent and reduce infections. I hope management reads this and fixes this knowledge gap in its staff. read more

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT go to this location unless you are being led there by gun point. I had to go there for a routine glucose test as part of my prenatal care and when I arrived the first thing I noticed was how unprofessional the front desk was. They were chit chatting and didnt acknowledge me, just tossed a clip board at me to sign in and that was it. I thought, "Ah well, they are just the front desk help". No, they definitely were not just the receptionists; they were the ones collecting the blood samples. "Great!" I thought, "I am going to get Hep B today for sure" Anyway, onward. So I had to get my blood drawn as soon as I arrived then again an hour later. The first lady to draw my blood was more professional and all was fine. An hour later the "front desk lady" drew my blood and was extremely rough, bruised my arm and then basically threw my blood sample across the room into some plastic bin. I couldnt wait to get the hell out of there. I ran out and just prayed I didnt contract some kind of disease. Fast forward two weeks. I get a call from that same lab location telling me that I need to come back to have my blood drawn again. She doesnt explain why. I have to press her to tell me. I asked, "Did I fail my 1hour glucose and need to come back for a 3 hour test?" She says, "Oh no thats not it, we were supposed to draw blood for another test, and we did draw the blood, it just never made it to the lab for testing" "Never made it to the lab?" what the hell does that mean? She goes on to tell me they LOST MY BLOOD. WTF kind of lab loses someone's blood?! I go on to ask her more details trying to understand how it was lost. She gets really annoyed that I am even asking and I can hear someone else in the background telling her she doesnt need to give me any more info. I asked her the names of the people who drew my blood that day and she couldnt figure it out from my chart. She said that all they know are the initials of the people who took the blood. I asked her if they keep a schedule of who worked that day so that might help her find out who drew my blood. She says, "Uhh no we dont keep schedules, the supervisor has that." So I ask for the supervisors name and she says Jackie, but doesnt know the last name. UUUGH. I literally cant believe someone this incompetent is allowed to stick needles into peoples veins! Point being, I had a horrific experience here and would never recommend anyone to this place. From what I have read about other locations, there are all pretty similar. Wonder where that vial of blood of mine is? Hmmm. Who knows. read more

The nurse had a rough time with my vein (I'm not holding that against her, s#*t happens, and I have small veins.) Do not be disenchanted by the other reviews, I think this place has either seriously undergone some reforms or I just happened to have a really great experience, but I think both apply! It was incredibly clean, comfortable, and modern, unlike the previous reviews. There were around 5-6 people in the waiting room, and I probably waited a total of ten minutes, which was not bad at all. Also, I have a serious phobia of needles, like to the point where I faint on the norm. The front desk lady quickly picked up on this, and she was incredibly sweet to me, trying to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. Also, the girl who drew my blood was absolutely amazing. I have really tiny veins that are prone to rolling, yet she only stuck me once, talking to me the entire time. I was in and out in a matter of 15 minutes (and only cried a little) I couldn't have asked for a better experience at all despite my serious aversion to needles. read more

Joe did an awesome job drawing blood even with my deep veins! One single painless stick and I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. Everyone is super friendly and there was hardly a wait. Anytime I've come to this CPL, there's usually not an incredibly long wait, and everyone seems to do a great job (I've been here 2 or 3 times now and have never had any issues). :-) also, there's plenty of parking! read more

This company continues to try and bill me for s made up procedure number 80050, my doctor never orders this procedure number and the amount is the that CPL gives the insurance company. If you see this procedure number be aware they are trying to cheat you as well. read more

The ladies at the front desk are rude. They close at 5pm but around 430pm they have an issue with it. Talking about the doctors need to stop sending people. They thought you can't hear them but I clearly did. Think before you speak. They are open til 5pm and I'm sure don't fully close immediately after. Smh read more

My husband and I went in for our annual blood work today and we're pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff was on a Saturday morning. The 2 girls at the front desk as well as our phlebotomist were all so friendly. Sets you up for a good day. Good job guys! read more
