Nice Mexican grill in Scott. The host was great along with the team as a whole, lots of space for seating, clean and inviting. The chips are served warm, and the salsa was one of the best I've tasted, onions fresh and crunchy with a nice heat to it, this held us to our entrees which was the street tacos that came with a cup of beans and rice, the rice had good flavor, and the beans were surprisingly soulful with the flavor very nice. Now the tacos were extremely filling with 2 corn tortillas and full of steak meat, which was grilled perfectly with the added char, needed more salt, but the salsa for the chips and jalapeño sauce took care of that, they come in threes but two will fill you up. The fajitas dish was awesome, the fresh veggies charred beef exceeded expectations, and again a larger portion of protein. Really enjoyed the meal. read more

Staff is very friendly,, but the food was weak. I had the tamales. They were pretty rough. The sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee.

The only sit down restaurant at this exit We decided to have lunch outside. We as one table with an ashtray full of butts. No one was making any effort to clean it up fir there next guest. So not sure how sanitary the tables are. Beware if that The waiter was very attentive. I asked fir a water with no fruit. It came with a line wedge. No thanks The salsa with the chips has a small kick to it. Food came after a bit of a wait. No big deal. We were busy talking. The food was hood. Hands down the best guacamole around. Very impressed. Our food took a while to come out and it was room temperature. It was decently flavored. Came here for lunch with my coworkers. I got the shrimp chimichuanga which was good. The ambience is nice, it's got a pretty open plan with half walls dividing some areas that look like southwest mission walls. There is a bar, but I didn't drink anything so I'll leave that for other reviews. The service was good and fast which was good for our lunch outing from work. I would come back again. read more

I wanted to like this place ! The hostess was very rude, rude glances and she acted like she didn't want to be bothered to seat us (there were only 4 other tables with people) . The initial taste of the food tasted good but the more we ate, the salt overwhelmed the dish. You do get large portions but it's overpriced for the taste. read more

My family has eaten at La Rumba dozens of times, at least twice a month. We had stopped going for about six months because their dishes are not consistent. In other words, hit and miss. As an example, the queso and meat appetizer has sometimes a good deal of meat and at times, almost no meat. I normally order tamales. Usually I get 2 or 3 tamales with my order and substitute queso for the burrito sauce. I've made this same order no less than 2 dozen times. My tamale order was one small, dry tamale. No sauce. I told her I normally get 2 or 3 with my order. She stated it only comes with one. I told her I had ordered queso. She just stared at me. I left with a bone dry tamale. La Rumba needs to re-evaluate the atmosphere, no music, super boring, the drinks and salsa were decent but the food don't go for. The rice was cold, the street tacos were dry as hell, didn't come with all of the ingredients, the La Rumba dip tasted like 3 different boiled meats dipped in cheese. This is basically just another franchise Mexican restaurant that Americanizes the food and skimps out on quality. I would normally reward it 2-3 stars, but knowing that the owner berates and fat shames the customers who disagree with him forces me to take stars away for poor customer service. They have also deleted every negative review on their Facebook page which is extremely suspicious. read more

We come here pretty often. A large marg is $9 & bogo Free. & that has me litttt! Small is half the cost & bogo. Tues I believe are 1.25 small. Food has never disappointed. My family and I ate here tonight, I ordered the double burritos, it didn't come with rice and beans. My husband ordered the Fajitas and it was mostly onions but the steak in it was so rough and chewy it has to be the bottom the barrel kinda meat. Also we watch a waitress seat an elderly couple and when the man sat down in his side of the booth it collapsed and the staff acted like they could care less.. he hit the floor pretty hard. They didn't even bother to comp them there meals! My husband and I felt like the staff was just starring us down, we felt uncomfortable. Our stomachs are bothering us right now as well. Quite possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been at. We were not greeted with a hello or a smile when we first walked in. After we sat down noticed dead flies on the window and were swarmed by multiple flies during our time there. Salsa was descent and chips were descent but that's about it. Cheese dip served cold. Very little ice in the cups. We had to ask for more ice. Waitress was descent but had to listen to the other staff "cackle" like a witch the whole dining experience. Food was served to my kids first and they were finished with their meal and then our meal came about 10 to 15 minutes after my kids. My burrito stunk like rancid meat so I open it up and the smell was awful. Took a small bite and spit it out. I handed the food back to our waitress and she didn't ask anything about how we enjoyed it. Just handed us our check. We paid and left. Couldn't get out soon enough. My family and I were dining here a couple months back and had one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. For starters, we went during what would be considered dinner time. I guess around 6 ish in the evening. There was only one other couple eating in the restaurant on the day we went in. (Should have been our first clue). Shortly after our meal arrived at our table, (after waiting entirely too long for food considering we are the only people there), the other couple got up and left. The lady, however promptly comes back inside and asks if we were driving the black expedition. We said yes and she informed us that our window had been busted out of our car. So we have to leave our food that just arrived, and go outside to find that while we were inside the establishment, someone pulled up next to our car, busted out the window and stole some items from the vehicle, including my daughters purse. We of course had to call the police, file a report, clean up the glass as best we could. All the staff offered to do was bring us a broom and dust pan... The entire ideal probably took an hour or so. (Keep in mind, our table full of food had been sitting, getting cold). So once we cleaned up the mess and returned inside and started getting our belongings, the owner walks up and hands me the tab and says, "you can pay this whenever you are ready". I was dumbfounded... We just had our car broken into, in your parking lot while attempting to eat at your restaurant, did not even get to eat our meal, now have to replace a window in our car, and rather than offering to comp the meal, or crap, at least offer to make fresh food, you wanna come hand me a tab for 55 dollars? SMH. I've been a manager and there is no way in the world I would ever charge a patron if they had just had the experience we did. And then to see the unprofessionalism and personal attacks that they made on their Facebook page towards a customer that left a bad review (because they too had a bad experience).
