The carry fresh apples, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, oranges, lemons, limes, strawberries, blueberries and lots more! However, walking into the front cashier to order a strawberry smoothie, and strawberry daiquiri to our surprise was told, with a glowing smile I must add, that all orders were placed in the fruit stand and picked up here at the bar. The fruit stand was located through another door or walk outside and enter from the side entrance into the fruit stand. Not an impressive. Not the cleanest fruit stand. Fruit Flies are calling the place home. There's an unlimited supply of empty bottles and dust. But the parrot is absolutely beautiful propped near the entrance to the fruit stand. Not only can you buy a variety of fresh whole fruits, corn, zucchini, cucumbers, tomato, greens, so many other vegetables. Purchase daiquiris here, other drinks, boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, boiled blue crab, burgers, fried frog legs, fries, and raw crabs and crawfish by the bag, much more. The locals were extremely friendly. Talking enthusiastically while waiting in line. Hinting that if I'm here, I must be here for the boiled crawfish! Ha! Everyone was super friendly and i just love supporting small businesses! I am a sucker for baked goods so stopped by 3 bakery booths and everything was so good. Lucias Bakehouse was my number 1, their donuts....omg. I also grabbed candles from the moonlit path, dog treats from PJs jerky and designs and garlic olive oil spread from delizioseaux. I wish i could go back to their holiday market this week, but I'm just in town for the weekend. You definitely have to stop in whether youre just visiting or live in the area. Ample parking can be found in the grass and this market is very dog friendly with water bowls and all. Vendors ranged from artisan wood walking sticks and cookie dough varieties to a bacon booth and vendor specializing in middle eastern eats like tabbouleh, stew and halva (much lighter than the surrounding Southern eats like beignets). Prices were reasonable and there was a fun spirit in the air with free Santa rides on a Gator and trailer weaving its way around the market. The market is open until noon. I'm not certain if this is all year round (we were there the weekend after Thanksgiving). My only regret was not taking home a container of the halva (it's hard to come by in Indiana;).
