I love this place. I eat here about twice a week. The lunch menu is great and VERY VERY cheap. Actually, the WHOLE menu is great and VERY VERY cheap. You also get a TON of food for a cheap price. The staff are excellent! They get to know you and joke around and greet you when you walk in. They wait on you every second. The margaritas are great and super strong. The latter is the best part. Hacienda Real is some great Mexican food in Eunice! I've been there a few times, and I've always enjoyed my dishes, and the prices. The exterior and interior of the establishment show serious dedication to theme. I really have to admire the mature Agave plants out front, they give it street appeal. There's plenty of parking, and that's a good thing as there is always a good crowd there enjoying some tasty cuisine. Lunch is the most amazing meal in my opinion, nearly every dish on the lunch menu was $7.99. That's an incredible value these days, especially considering the portion sizes are huge. My burrito was served on a platter! The flavors are top notch, what you would expect for much more. Dinner is a more leisurely affair, with a broader menu selection. Very Rude service today for takeout lunch. Arrived to find several orders of our food out on table near register. I asked how long has food been out from under warmer? Mr. Manager was sarcastic and replied rudely. I was so upset with him and his reply, he said "I treat people the way they come to me!!" I was not rude to him. At that point, I no longer wanted any further conversation with him nor did I want anything from Hacienda. Do not accept or pay for poor- negative service. I was excited about trying this place it had excellent reviews but we were very disappointed. My tamale was cold and hard. Enchiladas were bland and rice was over salted. The chili relleno was also cold and soggy, not seasoned at all. Our server was very attentive and took off the relleno from the bill so that was good. Service was fine and the shrimp chimichanga was decent but the chile relleno was the grossest thing I've tasted in a while. It was just a bite of mushy batter soaked in dirty oil - not fried, SOAKED. Stopped in for dinner after picking up a client and glad I did. Had the Steak and Shrimp (*** 1/2 stars) the steak was a nice rib eye with lots of flavor and texture, however the shrimp were small and bland, almost tasted frozen and for South Louisiana that is sacrilegious!!! The beans and rice tasted good but the flour tortillas were a tad hard and steamed, a no no... Over all it was a fun and great place to stop and grab a meal, again this is no L.A. but sure beats the stuff I have around my neck of the woods!!! read more

Nice set up and friendly staff. The decor is basically your typical Mexican restaurant. The margaritas here are excellent. I believe we got a rookie waiter today. He was taking our order and before we could even finish he began walking away. Which resulted in the wrong food being brought to our table as well as the wrong drinks. The vegetarian fajitas were delicious! The veggies were cooked to perfection and the flavor was spot on. They have cauliflower in the veggie mix which I love in fajitas. It was a flour tortilla filled with fajita chicken, sautéed onions and green peppers topped and filled with white queso, so delicious! It was served with rice, guacamole salad and an interesting light colored refried bean. My husband had the El Paso and he was also impressed with the flavor and level of seasoning.
