We have two top of the line recliners that have needed service within a week of receiving them. It took a long time for the parts to come in and mine still does not work correctly. So, I am hunting for a specific piece of furniture but I have no idea what it is called. I called it a tall narrow dresser, but as it turns out it is a Lingerie Chest. I didn't know that until I spoke with Teresa, the store manager. She explained the whole concept to me and showed me what was available, both in store and on order. Unfortunately I am looking for a specific color scheme to match a bedroom set and that was not available. However, she took the time with me to help me out and DIDN'T try to sell me something I didn't need, that speaks volumes to me as a consumer. They LIE! Make sure you understand. They LIE to get your money. They said the people delivering the furniture would make adjustments the bass... so that it wouldn't be leaning forward. When the delivery came, they said we NEVER make adjustments to the bass. So now we have 2 chairs that practically make you fall off and won't rock right. My wife's chair won't rock at all because the bass practically makes her fall out. The back in my chair is NOTHING like the one in the store. It is so hard and pushes out so far that it hurts my back. I thought these were chairs you could fall asleep in not be TORTURED in. Disappointed, We ordered furniture at the beginning of the year and we were told 4-6 weeks. It's been 9 weeks and they continue to push the date back. We have called and went to speak in person and they have been rude and dismissive. We agreed on a timeline and they did not keep their word. I think we would have understood a few days but we would have not agreed if they had said it would be over 3 months. Worst experience ever! The only reason I gave one star is because I liked the salesperson. Please take the time to read this review. This way you can decide if you want to take a chance on a purchase. I spent $4000 on two custom recliner sofas, aka "units." They were delivered while I was at work. I came home to find that the fabric was torn, the front of one was broken and one couch mechanism was non-functional. I immediately took pictures and went to discuss with the store manager, Frank. I was informed that nothing leaves the warehouse without being inspected so this must have happened in transport by the delivery company. (LazyBoy contract) He assured me that I would receive new units. I just needed to be patient and "trust the process." The first part of the process was to send out an incompetent repair person that never took out a tool. He extended the recliner and proceeded to slam the unit with his knee and foot. I reported this to Frank and was told that this may just be a part of the process. Part two of the process was to send a qualified repair person who was able to get the unit mechanism to kind of work. It would extend but the mechanism runs rough. It was during this visit that i realized the fabric on this unit was also torn and the mechanism was bent. (Same unit that repairman #1 "fixed") So, repair man #2 can't do any more until he orders more parts. And fabric. Because evidently the process is to rebuild the units in my home. But! COVID19! So. Nothing gets done until the store opens. When it did I called and asked where we were on this "process." I was kindly informed by Frank that he genuinely cared about this but was going to ask his District Mgr to call me. She did not. Serena from Customer Service called to let me know that LazyBoi does not issue refunds or exchanges and that the units would be repaired. Like new. Not the lovely new ones I ordered, "like" new ones. Now I wait. Again. I called Frank after my conversation with Serena. I have yet to hear from him. No word from the repair guy either. Through no fault of my own, I am being told that I have to make myself available to the repairman, for what is going to be a lengthy process to repair the damage that was done by a contractor of the LazyBoy company. I have to take off work and use MY time off credits to let him in my home and sit there until he is finished for an undetermined amount of visits. The delivery company that works for LazyBoy is out nothing. Delivered and damaged my couches that I saved months for. So my $4000 purchase is costing me more time and money. I trusted the LazyBoy name and reputation. 40 years of service. Blah blah blah. I am out more than the initial cost. My time dealing with the above, time from work, time from my earned time bank, and time upset over this fiasco. If you purchase from them, do so knowing they don't make good on their promise. If something goes wrong with your "unit" know that you will not be treated in a fair or just manner. I will post the pictures of the damage that I took on day one with my phone. The recliners wouldn't function so I didn't get the pictures of the damage on the inside. For now, I will sit on my unit and wait for the repairman and while I wait I will consider my options. 7/17/2020 I have contacted the Corporate Headquarters in Michigan because nothing is being done at the regional level. I have a case number. We'll see. read more

Waited 5 months for my order. Called to schedule delivery of two chairs then called back next day to say they broke one of the chairs. Then they were supposed to deliver the unbroken chair and never showed up and didn't call. I have asked for a credit of the broken chair and was told it had to be approved by the manager. To date I have not received a credit. At this point I am not sure what to do. The store personnel are very friendly and seem to understand my frustration but there has been no resolution.
