Ally was my salesperson who sold me my chair. 100% satisfied. Excellent from our first interaction. Here's what I liked the best! I messed up my new chair. Remote wouldn't work. It's barely a week old. I'm disabled and handicapped. Having to get on the floor making sure everything was plugged in and seeing no interference wasn't an easy task for me. So, I wanted a new remote now!! And, I mean now!! (Meds hadn't kicked in yet lol) Well, I called the store and happened upon a gentleman named, Donovan. Warning to anyone who buys from lazy boy let me share my experience I bought two leather rocker recliners since I bought them within a few months one of the recliner mechanism broke and you couldn't reclined black call their customer care send someone out that had to order parts now. Great customer service in store, Linda was very helpful and was not pushy at all (a definite plus when making a large purchase) definitely recommend to any family or friends. Unfortunately that's where the good part ends, I have now had the furniture for a year and have multiple issues, however the customer service department is laughable as their solution to have it fixed is to work with their schedule rather than be convenient for you as a customer, to the point where I feel as if they are trying to avoid fixing a defective piece of furniture so that it falls outside of warranty and would cause me to have to pay for repairs. read more

We've had some problems with this purchase and have found that their customer service is horrible, their product, though expensive, doesn't last, and their warranty is terrible and misleading. We bought a leather sofa for nearly $4,000 18 months ago and can't get any calls back for service. In addition, their warranty company lost our claim and then denied it although we purchased it for exactly the reason we were filing the claim (cat scratches). And when I tried to call the service company directly, ComfortCare, I'm left on hold for an hour. So I called the store to complain andI was told that, "That's the way it goes, get in line." CAUTION! I went to purchase two recliners in November (at $1000+). The second recliner would not be available until January, so I paid for it and waited. Today when I called to cancel the recliner I was told by a salesperson that because I didn't cancel within 3 days of my order, (which would cost me 30% of the cost of the chair for a cancellation fee) I could only get store credit. I explained that I was only cancelling because my small house couldn't accommodate more furniture, so that wouldn't work. I was told that was my option. I don't believe this is good customer service, and after purchasing new recliners from Laz-y-Boy in the past, I won't be shopping here again. read more

The chair is fine and the sales associate was courteous and helpful. My complaint? Ever since the purchase we have been harassed by robocalls from the "store manager" trying to sell us additional furniture. Last night, our dinner was interrupted by yet another recorded call from the "store manager." Most telemarketing calls give up when the call goes to voice mail, but this one persisted. I got up from my dinner and hung up. Seconds later, they called AGAIN asking if we want to participate in some program of theirs. That way I could meander and look and try out at my own pace. When I had finally gotten close to a decision, Mike was cheerful, informative, not pushy, and very professional. I got a great deal (Labor Day weekend!) and a quick date for delivery. The delivery guys were also great--the text message La-Z-Boy sent took me to a page that showed the progress of the truck and they showed up when they said they would. I was nervous about making my first purchase in a grown-up furniture store, as opposed to Ikea or Target. I was afraid there would be a lot of sales pressure and I would be uncomfortable. But my experience at La-Z-Boy could not have been more pleasant. I was greeted when I walked in, but left to wander around and try things out at my own pace. By the time a second salesperson approached me, I was ready for assistance. Neil Valentine helped us and he was very low key and easy to work with. I showed him the sofa I wanted, and he showed me the fabric options included in the base price. He let me know there were tons of other fabric options to examine in the middle of the store where they have tons of swatches, and told me about the fabric protection options, but didn't pressure me at all to upgrade. He drew up a quote for me in writing, too. When I came back the next day with my husband, he remembered my name and what I wanted. He gave us some time to walk the floor and make sure we were comfortable with our decision, and answered all our questions about delivery and scheduling. The store itself is great, too--comfortable, well-lit, tons of sofas and chairs in all kinds of fabrics and options, accent furniture, customer restrooms, cookies and water, you name it. Also, they were having a 25% off sale, so I saved a few hundred dollars on my sofa, which made me a lot more comfortable making such a big purchase. Pricing is transparent; they offered me the same price in-store that I found online. While I don't have my new sofa yet, so I can't comment on my full experience, I can say that I am thrilled with everything so far. read more

If I could have given them a no star rating I would have. Save yourself the trouble and do not buy furniture here. The quality has disappeared from their furniture. Which is sad but not the saddest part. When you have no quality and you have even worse customer service it is a deadly mix for the purchaser of the product. Unfortunately having been a lifelong customer I learned this the hard way. I purchased a new recliner a couple of years ago. Within the first year the leg portion broke. They did repair it under the warranty but told me that because I'm heavy it may happen again. It hasn't happened again but the pull to release the recliner broke as well as the metal portion of what extends the legs broke within a week of each other. This was the true beginning of my sad learning experience. When I called for service it was six weeks before they could schedule me. When the repairman came he determined that the chair frame was also cracked and told me he couldn't complete the repairs until the frame he was going to order came in. Several weeks (8 or more) later the part arrived at my home but I never got a call. After a week I called and they explained that they have no idea when the part comes and it's my job to call them and tell them the part has arrived and to schedule the service. I was beginning to see how disconnected the repair service and customer service were. Again it was six weeks before they could send a repairman. He arrived and took apart the chair and told me he was sorry but it wasn't the frame that was cracked it was the whole arm piece. He would have to order the piece and come back when I received it. Several weeks later the part came. I called and set up the repair call. The repair man showed up two hours late (past the four hour window they had scheduled). I rescheduled and two weeks later a repairman arrived. He took the part out of the box and informed me it was broken and he'd have to order another part. This all started in early February. It is now September and I still have no repaired chair. Lazy Boy did wave the labor fee - of course I've not had any labor yet and waiving a fee doesn't make up for the fact this repair has been going on for seven months - and we have at least another two months to go - assuming the part will come in and not be broken, the repairman will show up on time.... DO NOT BUY A LAZY BOY. That is the lesson I've learned. I wouldn't wish this process on anyone. read more

I loved it so I wanted one for myself. We ended up buying a loveseat and couch. The loveseat is powered and we were able to get the sofa with a manual recliner. They have so many options.
