This afternoon, I went to Top Nails in Minooka for the first time. Things were going great and the two only people working seemed friendly. There were only two customers, myself and another woman, who was African American. The male that was doing my nails (who I assume is the owner) was approached by the other customer and kindly asked if they could do another top coat because her toe nail polish looked bumpy. The male says "you will not come in my salon and give me problems, i don't like the way you are talking, you always come in here and give me problems" the woman told him that she had never been to the salon before. She started to get confused and upset as he continues to yell at her and he calls the police on her. He starts going back and forth with her and yelling at her while this woman is keeping a very low tone. I continued my service and waited until the cops got there because I didn't want to leave this woman alone. When the cops arrived they were confused as to what the owner wanted them to do and what the problem was to begin with. I told the man I will pay for what was done for my service so far and leave because I was disgusted by the way he was treating this woman. He was very apologetic to me but I made it very obvious he needed to be apologizing to this woman, not me. In the end, we all left the salon and I had to go get my nails finished elsewhere which I was completely happy to do! I just wanted to make the community aware of the mistreatment going on within this establishment.

Did my nails completely too short, and uneven, it looks like a toddler did my nails. He was so rough with my hand, and after I had told him that my nail looked crooked. He told me that was just my finger lol which it was not. They came out horrible and im severely disappointed, and will not be visiting them ever again.

I really love Michelle as a stylist, I had her do my hair 4-5 years ago and remembered her since…read morethen... but I couldn't remember her name. I was finally able to find her again through Diva's Facebook page and I'm so glad. I booked a haircut and full highlight, wanting to go back to my natural color so my hair could continue to grow and be healthy. I didn't realize I should have booked for a color correction, but Michelle moved her clients around to give more time to do my hair. I would have been more than understanding to reschedule, but thankful she was able to fit me in! One of the other ladies was amazing as well running to the store to get more product for my hair. It doesn't look like a huge change, but this was removing box color from my hair so it could better match my roots and a treatment to prevent damage. I am also not a huge talker and shy during appointments like this, but it didn't feel awkward at all and I had a chance to just enjoy being pampered and relax. Overall, I'm so grateful Michelle and the ladies were so accommodating and understanding with me. There wasn't frustration even for a split second. I will continue coming back to Michelle and recommending Diva's to everyone!
