Happy Holidays All. Went here last night for a birthday party and as expected this old staple didn't disappoint. Great food with an old school at home feeling. Service by Emily was second to none. Fried calamari, fish, gnocchi, and pasta along with salads and soups are a few of the table items we had. If you haven't been here put it on the must stop A bar area with live music in the weekends or a dining area where you can have a more quiet dining experience And parking is a breeze Enjoy

Service was quick. Seems more like a local spot than a place you would travel to and reminds me of those old school Italian spots you would see in little Italy near UIC. Portions are large so you won't go home hungry. The menu is quite big too so there might be something for everyone as long as you love carbs

Excellent service, decent food with expansive selection, clean. Bland theming. The 40 dollar rib-eye was really filling but thin (not the best rib-eye I've ever had, but, then again, this is an Italian restaurant). It was in a wine sauce. Also had a minestrone soup - okay. A salad - okay. They don't do substitutions on sides. They give the table wrapped mini breadsticks , cheesy focaccia bread, and some other cheesy bread. On the other side of the restaurant they had more cozy, romantic atmosphere - dimmer lighting and a band playing. We were seated in the opposite side which was quite and open and not all that interesting unfortunately.

Leaving another review because today I went in to get my order! The inside is beautiful with different rooms for venues. The staff was welcoming and super friendly. The food... I love everything!! You won't be disappointed. And if you have a party to plan.. la villa is the place to get together

Ordered a pizza for take out. It was ready in 30 minutes and they were able to do split margarita and supreme. Very delicious! We got an XL since there was a coupon on their take out menu and it was more than enough food. Will be back!

Have to try this when is in season!!!!!!

10/10!!! The food speaks for itself. Food was Phenomenal, Best Pasta I've ever had! Christopher did a great job and was so attentive to us. The atmosphere was awesome, I would recommend anyone and everyone to try this place out!

Our waitress couldn't be any better! She is super friendly and informative! The aesthetic is an old Italian restaurant. I definitely will be back!

Ask the Community - La Villa

Any outdoor dining available?

No, probably better that way as the traffic could get noisy around there

Do they still have the salad bar?

As already said, no, because of Covid, the salad bar has been removed. I've been there 3 times since early summer. Fantastic! Please go!

Can I buy like the dough for pizza here? I love their pizza but I've been meaning to make my own pizza. A sloppy experiment I've been meaning to try . That's why i wanted to know if I can buy the dough.

Call them. lol. I doubt they would say no. They certainly aim to please and value their customers. I guess I've been going there since about 1981 and never heard no to anything reasonable

However I think the holiday spirit got to him a couple of weeks ago because he took me to Consignment which is one of he and his wife's faves. The name is as it says - the bar doubles as a secondhand store and whatever is on display is for sale. I adored it! The service was awesome - I always love chopping it up with Black bartenders - and the crowd was very very queer. I was legitimately in heaven. So much doesn't feel safe right now - especially with the J6 goon squad running amok in Chicago trafficking people. It was nice to be among my people enjoying great drinks in a buzzy atmosphere. Because we are old, we got there by 730 on a Saturday and surprisingly it was already packed! Patience won the day though and within 45 minutes we snagged some stools against the wall. I had a great time here and hope to return!

The Stephen Hull experience was the show we attended. The show was phenomenal. We were sitting close to the stage, so the music may be too loud for some. There were people wearing earplugs but personally, I was fine without them. It was Stephen Hull's birthday, so staying consistent with that theme, he celebrated. I would say to any band considering booking a show here, don't do it. The acoustics are not great and their sound guy goes way too heavy on the instrumentals and drowns out the vocals. The staff is nice enough but the bartender did leave to go smoke weed outside. I don't know if they were doing hot dogs because it was National Hot Dog Day but the only options I saw for food were that and I think I saw somebody order nachos. To say this place is divey would be generous, I would go more towards little hole in the wall. It's not in the greatest part of the city and I was just not exceptionally comfortable here. Of course as with everything I review feel free to go yourself and make your own judgments, but my advice is to pick someplace else either to drink or to hold a show. I'm always honest, so that's pretty much a wrap on this one. ** The bands that played last night, including my friends in Silvertung all did a great job!**

I thought it would be more like a brewery where one could spend some time hanging out and unwinding, a "third-place" kind of spot. When I showed up, I found that while there was a patio, it was the kind where you had to be seated by a host. Thus, unless you are at the bar, spontaneous conversations with strangers are less likely. With that said, Eris is a large brewpub with a full bar, including liquor and cocktails, as well as a robust food menu. Wanting only to try some ciders, I took a seat at the bar. I had the opportunity to try a 5-ounce pour each of the E-Phoria and the Van Van Mojo. Both were tasty. The E-Phoria was on the sweeter side, while the Van Van Mojo was less sweet (though not entirely dry) and unique with the addition of blueberries. Neither was mind-blowing, but both were enjoyable in their own right. The bar service was A-OK, especially considering it was a very quiet night. It was friendly and somewhat attentive. I appreciate that there are some closing-related duties that have to be done, and watching the two patrons at the bar like a hawk might make them nervous. Final Verdict: I think the trick with Eris is not to treat it as a "let me get a beverage and hang out" place, but rather a place for a sit-down meal and drinks. With that, I am hoping to return at some point with an empty stomach. However, to be 100% fair, I am not itching to break down the door and come back.
