It's upsetting to see such a nice place have mean workers! I love La villa i think their food is fantastic and the ambiance is super cute and super clean and my best friend got married there, truly it's beautiful! But last night was our staff Christmas party and the bartender assigned to us was rose and legit kept yelling at everyone last night. She would yell that we couldn't order specific things, or that we couldn't get more more drinks at the moment, she even closed the bar EARLY when we paid for 3 hours and then told us to go away:/ it did ruin the Christmas vibe of the night we don't understand why she was so upset we were all nothing but respectful we just asked some questions and she didn't like it and even stomped her feet at us and walked away. read more

We stopped for pick up and were happy with the food... Ordered Bosco sticks, La Villa salad and a large pizza half italian beef-green pepprr-pepper blend. Other half was veggie and Porrettas inspired veggie- fresh garlic, eggplant, zucchini, broccoli, artichokes. We ordered the thick crust... probably would get thin next time. Overall no complaints with food...all cooked perfectly. read more

I ordered a large LA Villa pizza, told the girl to skip the pepperoni, ok so they instead put olives instead of mushrooms. I hate olives. I was so upset. Come on Olives instead of mushrooms. I need to call and complain to them. Who ordered olives? Not me. The pizza cost $25.00 and wasn't what I ordered. I kind of expect the mistake from Mc Donald's cause they always make mistakes.. always. read more

La Villa is my neighborhood Italian restaurant and they do not disappoint! Pastas are delicious, rib tips are delicious, pizza and wings are delicious, and so much more! We did a catering package for 4 for Mother's Day and it came Sicilian bone in chicken, medallion steak pizzaiola, mash taters, gravy, mixed veggies, slices of French bread, tirimasu, and a wine gift set, all for $107 and we have leftovers!! The people are great and so is the food, thanks LaVilla!! read more

We married here 32 years ago then back every five years or so. The food is still out of this world best Italian restaurant in Chicago by far I had the chicken à la Villa outstanding I had mine boneless my wife had chicken Vesuvio boneless and it comes with soup and salad also superb. It's nice I have an option with the chicken dishes if you want boneless or bone in. My Wife had a side of mostaccioli with marinara was very good. The staff is out of this world to do anything to help you Chris the owner very nice lady, she stop and make sure everybody is enjoying their meal even when she is at her busiest time she's always been like that the year that we've been going there. they just celebrated their 50 years in business. I think they can go another 50 years at least with the quality of their food, only getting better as years go by. If you like Italian food, old world with lots of flavor and lots of heart, this is the place for you. read more

Been coming to la villa since I moved to Chicago back in 2018. Everything is fresh clean place custom service is always on point

Terrific Italian food in a genuine family-style atmosphere (unlike Maggiano's for example). We had arranged for a large party of about 20. It was easy to do so and the manager was very helpful with menu choices, pricing, and other details. The day of the event the waitstaff were incredibly helpful and friendly, serving family style dishes. They have lots of events there it seems so you might see a high school graduation party in another room or some other celebrations. read more

This was our first restaurant experience at La Villa. My hub & I split the chicken parm dinner. He had the soup while I had the crispy, fresh salad with creamy garlic dressing. The chicken parm had too much breading, too much sauce, too much cheese and not enough chicken, altho shared. Our friends shared a ribeye which we will get next time. We will be back! Great place to dine with friends. read more

7/29 If I could give this place a 10, I would. This is by far the best hospitable, attentive customer experience I have ever had. Fatima, the waitress was Excelente, also the hostess and staff. We ordered the popular Chicken Vesuvio, fried calamari and lasagna which were all large portions. It came with soup and salad, fresh french & focaccia bread plus crackers. Everything was superb. Pomegranate martini is a must. A place for family dinner, date night or celebration. A delightful place. Live entertainment. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE OYSTERS ROCKEFELLER ONLY. First, I have enjoyed the food I have had from La Villa including the oysters rockefeller for some time. Service has been very good; including delivery. Unfortunately, it seems the preparation of the oysters has changed. They now smother the "oyster rockefeller" with mozzarella or similar cheese, which overwhelm and dominate the spinach and oyster experience. Sorry to say, I will no longer be ordering the "oyster quesadillas". Being different isn't always good. read more

Had cream of mushroom soup was bland and creamy put a dash of salt and that really amped up the flavor. They serve fresh focus and homemade bread with a very good olive oil infused with basil leaf. Calamari appetizer plentiful very colorful the fried calamari was soggy . Was tossed with peppers and spinach There salad bar is really good . Wasn't sure but upon tasting it the flavors were so good tortellini , calamari salad, artichoke salad, pastA salad, tuna salad, picked herring , beets . My clams were a mix of linguini with 4 little neck clams and minced clam meat. The noodles were a little soggy . Over all the food is decent large portions . Excellent bread better olive oil . I'd come back . read more

I have to say, this place has never failed me on the service and quality of food they provided. My Sicilian Chicken was moist and full of flavor. Megan was very attentive and engaging. However, I must be honest that I was a little disappointed they no longer provide complimentary olive oil with roasted garlic. I was looking forward to it with their focaccia. It was a pleasant experiece overall. read more

I REALLY enjoyed the eggplant parm! Good portion- heavy on the cheese. It came with pasta and marinara. The rigatoni was good enough and sauce was pretty good. My son loves eggplant parm sandwiches and this looked great. It was a big sloppy mess. I've only done carryout and it is not close to me. I wish it was in my neighborhood, because it is a special trip that involves dealing with road construction. Also, for the special trip, there are other places equidistant that I'd choose over this one. Next time, I may be tempted to order the chicken vesuvio, or not - the eggplant was REALLY good. read more

Super yummy Italian food. I grew up eating this pizza, but my favor is the mussels with marinara

I've been going here since I was a kid. The food, the service and everything is great here!

Had to update again. Hurry and go to LaVilla and enjoy the Italian Fest. Multi course choices and LOTS of food which means plenty of leftovers. Entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. I only wish it went past 9:30. Oh and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake that I had last night was very creamy and flavorful. So glad I got my own piece instead of sharing! Lol. Mickey continues to be a great server and makes the evening even more fun. read more

Went here for date night and the food was not good.. Ordered a Caesar salad, and I got a house salad with Caesar dressing. I ordered an entrée that came with pasta and there was pasta water on my plate, they did not drain the pasta very well at all. I asked for a cocktail and the bartender in the strata had to ask me how I would like my drink made. If you want to come here for pizza I suppose that's OK but if you want a true Italian entrée then I would pass and go to a real authentic Italian restaurant. Will not be going back.... read more

Moved from the south side to Portage Park and couldn't find pizza on par with my faves from back home until I found La Villa! Best pizza on the north side and it's always consistent. They also offer some interesting toppings, my favorite being zucchini. Delivery is really quick too, usually before the estimated time. Love this place so much! read more

Against the norm, Rosa J. wasn't out and about this evening; she went straight home after work, put on her PJ, grabbed her i-pad, log onto her grub hub account (or her hubby's), found La Villa on the list, and placed the order for delivery. She placed the order at approximately 19:45 hour, and the food was arrived by 20:30 hour. It was a Saturday evening in late April, but having food to be delivered would always be needed in Chi-town, regardless the time and the season. We had shrimp dejonghe as the appetizer (basically a shrimp casserole), linguine with white clam sauce for myself, and baked mostaccioli with creamy pesto sauce and peas for hubby. The total came to $42.80 (including $3.50 delivery charge; excluding tips). I wanted to render four (4) stars for the impeccable packaging when arriving at our doorstep. The orders were packed neatly and securely in a large brown bag. The food was hot and fresh. That was a great sign! To be honest, the taste of food would only be worth three (3) stars. The shrimp dejonghe was probably the best dish out of the three (3). The shrimps were fresh and cooked thoroughly, with a generous amount of the stuffing to dip the bread with. The other two (2) dishes were slightly lackluster. Even though the linguine with white clam sauce didn't skimp on clams, the clams were extremely sandy, and this phenomenon affected the overall flavor. I was pretty hungry, so I finished it all without generating any complaint to anyone. Hubby's baked mostaccioli, on the other hand, weren't too much to comment about. As a foodie myself, I understood that one couldn't ask for the best through restaurants that were willing to deliver. I was just curious about some other four (4)- or five (5)-star Yelp reviews on how wonderful the food tasted! From what I had tonight, I believe that offering a three (3)-star review was quite merciful. I truly appreciated for the delivery service from La Villa, but I would be reluctant to patronize them again. read more
