I don't think our arrival should be the time they first start shopping for ingredients. This was an expensive trip and I guess our expectations reflected that. I will say that the spa was lovely and the workers all very proficient. However, if you are in need of any special requirements be aware that the promises are hollow.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Japanese onsen, but it's really hard to come by places that offer a nice hot soak. Healing Spirit Soaks was a great experience for us. When we arrived for our reserved time, Brandi showed us the salt scrub tub, sauna, two hot soaking tubs, two cold plunges, and biomat. Shoes are not worn inside, so you can remove your socks and shoes in the changing area - there are also slippers, robes, and towels provided for you. Brandi also offers you a nice herbal tea or water. If you're not familiar with the whole soaking experience, Brandi will walk you through the steps of sauna first, salt scrub and rinse, then hot soak and cold plunge. This visit was extremely relaxing and tranquil, and it went by too fast. I was really sad to have to leave, but I'm definitely going to purchase a membership. Upon entering I was welcomed and offered water. They have local goods including Maya tea and essential oils they use for sale as well. The massage itself was fantastic- the hot stones and essential oils were so relaxing. I was able to note that I am not chatty during my sessions and she was perfectly respectful of that. The pressure she applied was perfect and I was a pure puddle of relaxed goo at the end. They offer subscription programs that can be shared with friends. They also offer grief focused massages and can happily accommodate for pregnancy. All in all a great experience!
