Dr. Betty Chan is the best dermatologist in Toronto. Bold claim, yes. I've been seeing her since…read more2008 for acne treatment. Back then I was doing my research for hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. Armed with my research, I made an appointment to see Dr. Chan to inquire on laser treatments. Back then lasers weren't advanced to treat Black skin. Dr. Chan listened to my concerns, thoroughly examined my skin and gave me two prescriptions for topical acne. It worked. No lasers needed. She didn't try to sell me a laser package when it wasn't needed (like other Toronto spas). She helped to clear my skin after years of trying everything (and I do mean everything). She's simply the best in the business and I've referred family and friends to see her. Dr. Chan is friendly and patient - also quick. Every time see sees me she takes photos of my progress (I've paired her prescribed treatment with Korean beauty products which clears up the occasional blemish). If you are Black or Asian with dark/tan skin, see Dr. Chan. You won't regret it.

i purchased the groupon for a glow express facial . it was a big discount ($39 instead of over…read more$100) but since it was an "express" facial i thought it would be 30-45 mins ; it actually ended up being over an hour which was great . i was a bit apprehensive about the word "klinic" not because of the spelling but because i was hoping that although it wasnt a spa that it would still be relaxing and not too ... "clinical" ;) turns out i was totally in luck . martina was very warm , relaxed and welcoming , and she seemed genuinely interested in my skin . it was a very nice space , and the atmosphere in the room where she performed the facial was well-appointed , comforting and serene . she didnt try to upsell me on any extra treatments , didnt push any products on me , and in fact gave me a recommendation for something that i can buy at the drugstore . it was so refreshing to deal with someone who was helpful and honest it was one of the best parts of the experience ! as for the actual facial , i have to admit that this was the first one ive ever had , but i am a pretty critical gal in general so despite my lack of experience if she werent a pro i would have noticed . it was , from what i understand , a typical but well-executed routine of cleansing , steam , extractions , mask , toning and moisturising . i have read in other reviews of facials that some people are put-off by having the esthetician leave the room during parts of the treatment . this didnt bother me at all ; she left the room twice for 10 minutes each time ; during the steam and during the mask , and i found it very nice and peaceful . i actually think i would find it awkward to have the esthetician stay in the room in silence with you for 10 minutes ! all in all , this was a really great experience for me and i already bought my sister the same deal as a gift ! i am hoping to return in the future and will recommend martina to anyone looking for a kind and skilled esthetician :)

As a professional beach volleyball player, skin health is really important to me and the staff at Distill has made this process enjoyable again.

It is located above Sparks Salon (shared entrance). She reassured me about the results and advised me to be consistent with the treatment for best results. I received a reminder for my appointment from Jennifer via email one day prior to my appointment. The consultation included filling details about medical history, skin type, consent form etc. The clinic and the treatment rooms are neat and tidy. The procedure is effecient, quick and does not require usage of gels. Cristina did the treatment for me. She is warm and welcoming. She made sure I was comfortable and took feedback after the session. I look forward to the next session in four weeks and great results. Thank you, Team Liberty Laser for a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it.

The clinic is located inside/above a nail salon, and based on my experience, it felt more like a…read morenail salon than a proper clinical setting for a procedure involving lasers. There was also a lack of clear communication beforehand, as i wasn't given any preparation instructions prior to the appointment. During the visit, I didn't feel fully informed about the process, risks, or aftercare. I also wasn't given clear information about the technician's qualifications or training with the laser, which made it difficult to feel confident in the treatment. Given that they present themselves as a "clinic," I expected a more professional and transparent experience, and this did not match that expectation. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacked the level of professionalism I expected, which may explain why the pricing is lower than other places. I would recommend others do thorough research and make sure they feel fully informed and comfortable before proceeding

I just got an acne treatment at the Oxybeauty. Definitely beats any other facials I've had before…read morebecause honestly this one actually works! I've had acne for as long as I can remember, I'm 25 now and I still have issues with it. I must have tried almost every product that's out there, from ProActive to Vichy to Clinique and many other. Some were more successful than other, but I always found the results didn't last long. It might work for the first few months and then as soon as my skin got used to the product, it stopped working. A friend of mind recommended this place since she went here to get here acne scars removed. So I thought I'll give it a try. It is definitely not your regular idea of facial or a place to get one. I'm used to seeing fancy over priced spas where you come in to get a what you think will work. But other than these facials smelling great and you feeling convinced that the facial you got will work since you paid so much money for it, I didn't see any results. You come here and it looks like a medical clinic. There are a bunch of machines, lasers and what I believe it's called an oxyjet machine. I was slightly intimidated at first but once the doctor explains what is and how it works, it's actually pretty sweet. I highly recommend this place to anyone that also has acne issues or any other skin conditions. The doctor knows what he is doing, and he cares enough to explain to you how to properly take care of your skin and recommend products that's out there that match your specific skin type. In addition to his treatments, I've got quite a few Nora Bode products. My favorite is the foam cleanser, it takes makeup right off as you wash your face so no need for makeup removal products. Also highly suggest getting an acne serum, works like a charm on any new pimples. I've been a client for over a year, I try to come every 3-4 weeks to keep my skin clean. I would never go anywhere else to get my facial done!
