Risotto Di Mare
Nichole G.

What a lovely little quaint restaurant! For some reason, my mom ALWAYS wants Italian food when we travel anywhere. lol I had to do a lot of research to find an Italian restaurant that served her favorite, veal piccata. Luckily, I did a good job! All of the food at La Tosca was absolutely delicious. I hesitated on ordering the veal carpaccio, but I'm so glad I got it. It was absolutely amazing. It nearly melted in my mouth because it was so tender. I'm a big fan of a good risotto and oh man was the seafood risotto wonderful. It was cooked perfectly, creamy, but not mushy like some restaurants. At first, my mom was a little disappointed that the veal was made with a sage flavor as opposed to lemon, but the server talked to the chef and he hooked my girl up with a squeeze of lemon in the sauce and she was in heaven! So, if you are looking for some delicious Italian food while you are in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend La Tosca. I'm not sure if the live musician is a regular there or not, but if you get lucky enough to go when he's there, you will not be disappointed.

Linguini w clams
Jamie B.

Great setting and cute restaurant! Service is fantastic. Prices are great as well. The bruschetta was good - for me, I prefer a softer bread for this app. Great flavor non the less. I had linguini w clams. It was good. I prefer to have a little lighter sauce with bits of clams in them, but these were nice size and salty. So good. The sauce it self had a smidge of a Smokey or woody flavor which I didn't prefer as much. Regardless, we'll def be back!

Warm and wonderful atmosphere, great staff, fabulous food. My favorite Italian restaurant in PV. We'll be back!

Nice ambience and good service. Ordered wine and the lasagna, which did not disappoint. Good flavor. It is more meaty so ask for a big sprinkle of Parmesan when the dish comes out.

We ventured…read moreout to La Capella the other night, and honestly, it wasn't just a meal; it was an entire experience, fantastic from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left. First things first, the setting is straight out of a postcard. Picture this: you're perched high up, gazing out at this unbelievably beautiful, sparkling blue sea, with an old, quaint church adding character to the horizon. It's truly a dreamscape, especially as the sun begins its descent, painting the sky with the most incredible colors. Seriously, it's the kind of view that makes your jaw drop and your worries melt away. Pure, unadulterated magic! Our evening was made even more special by our fantastic waiter, Jarod. What a star! He was genuinely charming and incredibly attentive, always there right when we needed him without being intrusive. He kept everything running smoothly, offered great suggestions, and truly made us feel like royalty. His warmth and efficiency really elevated the whole vibe of the night. And then, the food... oh my goodness, the food! It was nothing short of culinary perfection. I couldn't resist ordering my beloved pork osso bucco again - it's become my absolute favorite there, and for good reason! It arrived unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth, and every bite was an explosion of rich, delectable flavors. Just as phenomenal as I remembered, if not better! Honestly, every single dish that graced our table was impeccably prepared and utterly delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you *must* put La Capella on your list. And here's my golden nugget of advice: make sure to grab an early reservation. Trust me, you absolutely do not want to miss that breathtaking sunset; it transforms an amazing dinner into an absolutely legendary one. Go on, treat yourself - you won't it.

I made reservations a few weeks in advance and we were able to sit on the terrace to enjoy the views. They had live violinists (three!!) that were playing, it was so romantic. I loved the violinists, they were all so nice and friendly. I got the guava martini which was good and I ordered the spageti bolognese, which was tender and flavorful. The dish was solid with a nice presentation. They also brought out complimentary olive bread with parmesan grated cheese which was really good. The food and drinks are pricey! For the 4 of us including drinks and dinner, it ended up being almost $70 per person. Service was just okay, our waiter was a little stern and we had to flag to get his attention a few times. I would definitely come here for a special occasion, for the beautiful view and ambience.

Of course the staff did it up in style with flickering lights and what sounded like fireworks . Which in turn scared the living daylights out of me. Those guys came over of course when I realized what was actually happening happening I was in tears laughing so hard. Those guys were so sweet we all had a great laugh about it. BEWARE FOOD POISONING!…read more Walked over here for dinner because this place is constantly recommended by people in the neighborhood. All the seating is outside, which is fine. I noticed right away that the kitchen is tiny. It made me wonder how they manage to put out so much food. Service was standard. Nothing to complain about while we were sitting there, but the aftermath was a disaster. My partner and I both got extremely sick a few hours after leaving. It was pretty clearly food poisoning, likely salmonella based on the symptoms. It is very disappointing since so many people talk this place up. I will not be going back. Would really caution and avoid if older or immunocompromised.

Luis, our server tonight was wonderful, very attentive while providing wonderful dinner recommendations. We ended up ordering two out of the three dinner specials offered tonight: Rib Eye (1 kilo) over sautéed veggies and arugula. This dish is so large, the steak is large enough to share between 4 people! Cooked to absolute perfection, this medium rare piece of heaven is a MUST! Nice change from the tacos we've been having for the past 3 days.. Yellow tail, wow - y'all about freshness. Fish lover? Order this! This restaurant is located on the 5th floor of the Paloma Del Mar hotel. Just take the elevator to the 4th floor and then it's a short walk up one flight of stairs to the entrance. A big selling point of this restaurant is its open air design with a full roof but open sides for amazing views of the town with the water being 5 short blocks away. This is a great place to experience sunset. In the middle of the floor plan is a full bar with all of the dining tables placed around it. There really isn't a bad seat but I got lucky and snagged a corner table facing the beach. It was a really nice setting. I ordered the Fragole salad for $195 mxn and the Rosa seafood pasta entree for $360 mxn. A nice bread basket arrived first with flavored whipped butter and delicious sliced bread. Then the Fragole was delivered and I was very happy with its taste and freshness. It had spinach and arugula along with chopped nuts, Parmesan, strawberries and cranberries in a mango flavored vinaigrette and was excellent! Finally the entree arrived in a bowl. The Rosa had fresh seafood with clams, shrimp and fish with pasta that I chose (penne) mixed in a pink cream sauce. I loved this dish. Tasty, flavorful and filling. I would order it again. Also the table service was very good. Come eat here for a very nice atmosphere, nice view (especially sunset), great food, very good service and reasonable prices. Reservations are recommended especially to experience sunset.
