Starting from a tiny teaser, followed by a small appetizer, the main dish is well proportioned. We really enjoyed the quality and novel combinations of tastes. Service is on the slow side -- it took about 2 hours for our dinner but there are really great views of the port and coastline to enjoy. The staff are really helpful; my wife had sprained her ankle earlier in the morning and our waiter gave us a sealed bag of ice! Definitely recommend!

Avenio We wanted to…read morehave a dinner outdoors but at the same time avoid the large restaurants that focus on meals designed for tourists. Our hotel recommended Avenio as a good choice for a nicer meal in Avignon. We made a reservation as the hotel's outdoor seating area is quite limited. The weather was perfect for an outdoor dinner. We decided to order main courses from the "Saison Plat" menu and deserts. My wife ordered the lamb and I ordered the fish. We shared a bottle of wine from the region. The fish was nicely prepared. It was cooked properly. My wife's lamb was also well prepared. The deserts are over the top. One of the highlights of the meal. Avenio is a nice choice for a finer dinner in Avignon.

I'll mention I've been to France 20 plus times and had some superb food, this isn't it, my wife agreed. OK, so I'm American, my wife is French and agreed it wasn't very good, she'd probably rate it a bit higher than me, but it really is over priced crap in my view.

The proprietor was extremely welcoming and friendly, and we immediately felt comfortable. The food was delicious, but our i initial wine selection were presented in small, cheap wine glasses, and after further inspection we discovered they were poured from wine boxes and the taste was unsatisfactory. Went back to the menu and made new selections, and requested real wine glasses and sever presented unmatched glasses for identical wine, and stated that they only had the one larger glass. Overall the food was delicious, and the second wine was good as well, but the presentation was subpar overall. They should invest in quality wine glasses to showcase their wine. Delightful experience but I would pass in the future. Usual clientele are probably clueless when it comes to wine. None vintage wine for higher expenses.
