This may be a bit hard to find but well worth the effort. ( facing the AC sans hotel take the path to the lower street on the right between the hotel and the apartment building next to the hotel) The wait staff speaks English(as well as a few other languages) they are amazing folks very warm and welcoming. The food is fabulous. We went two nights in a row tried several items on the menu and all were amazing. The kitchen consistently turns out beautiful and delicious food. The Iberian ham melts in your mouth. The Cachopo (think chicken cordon bleu with veal instead of chicken) was hugely delicious. The red velvet molted cake with raspberry sorbet was yummy. The Cava Sangria was luscious.

My favorite location in Barcelona. The food was really fresh and tasty. The service was friendly and helpful. From starter to the main dish and dessert various aromatic food.

We came here our first night in Barcelona and it was the best choice! We stumbled upon it because it was close to our Airbnb although it is a little hard to find. The food here was excellent and the sangria so delicious (we ended up trying all 3). Then the last night we decided to come here as well because we found the food be that good and everyone who worked here was just so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend coming here!

The Cava Sangria was by far one of the best sangrias I had in Spain because it was so light and refreshing.

As a meat lover I highly recommend this restaurant. We went on a 3-day trip in Barcelona and I had…read moretwo of my lunches there (the owner even kept our wine on the first day so we could keep drinking it on the 2nd day!). The first day I had the veal and beef sirloin, medium cooked. The veal tastes like it was dry-aged and came with a pleasant flagrant along with the kick from charcoal. It was a bit chewy but every bite on the meat extracts more flavor from it. Beef sirloin usually is a safe choice, and it was a right decision for this restaurant. It was super tender and juicy, satisfying. The second day we went back for more, our friend recommended beef short-rib, and i also added a lamb chop. Unlike other short ribs I had in US, their rib was not as tender, but the more you chew on it, the more flavor came out of it. The lamb chop was surprisingly good, it's tender and juicy, also a bit fatty. I wanted to go back on the third day, but guess we need to try out something different in Barcelona, but I will definitely come back next time I'm there!

This is definitely the best meat I've had in Barcelona. Nice quite place with mostly local audience…read more(a rare find in central area!). Good service - very hospitable owner, he gave us some good wine recommendations and all the food was served quite fast. The meat was just exceptional! Beef filet is an absolute must must try, very tender and fresh. The rest of the dishes were good as well. Perfect non touristic place for dinner!

I give this place 5 stars for service and 3 stars for food…read more Service was exceptional! The server came out and described all the special of the days and recommended his favorites. There is a menu in English as well. Certain dishes were amazing and some I was very disappointed. Too bad they don't have a special lunch menu because the bill for the two of us was quite expensive. So, if you're going to try this place out, here's what I had: Crispy pig mask - pretty much like bacon but lacking flavor. I believe the garnish in top was peppercinis? Or banana peppers. Not so sure. Iberico ham croquettes - took a bit and it was so crispy and tasty. Definitely get this. Their "special egg of the day" was similar to huevos cabriadios. This one came with asparagus. The portion was really tiny and everything was kind of mushed together. Lacking crunchy texture. Didn't like it at all. Steak tar tar - very nice. Came with 4 pieces of patatas which I didn't think went will with the tar tar. Instead, I spooned it onto the compliments pan con tomatoes they gave us. Patatas bravas - not your usual patatas with aioli. They add a sort of tomato paste to this dish so it makes it unique and interesting. It's good! Scallop on top of pork neck. This was the star dish of the meal. Scallops perfectly cooked on a fatty piece of pork. So much flavor, the right amount of crispness- this is a must have. All this + 2 drink came out to 58.20€.

When traveling, it's often the people you meet who can make or break your trip. In this case,…read moreBamboral will always have a special place in my heart when I think of Barcelona. Even though we did not have reservations, we were welcomed and treated like family instead of American tourists. The staff, particularly Victor, patiently explained the menu and we chatted with him as acquaintances. We dined here two out of the three nights we were in Barcelona because we had such a great dining experience. When we came back for the second time, every staff member remembered us and joked with us. Victor even remembered our order! Bamboral means poppy, and it's named after the city where the owners are from. One of the owners even came over to chat with us and told us about how the food was made. Here's what we had: -Ensaladilla Rusa & bonito tuna (4 euros): I'm not a potato salad fan, but this is a pretty classic tapa so we had to try it. It was just okay to me, but my husband loved it. -Burrata salad (8 euros): The burrata was a good size for sharing, while the asparagus and tomato added a nice contrast to the creaminess of the burrata. -Rice special (7 euros): Oh my gosh, whatever the rice special is, just order it! I ordered it both times, so I had two eye-rolling bowls of rice goodness. If you like the umami flavor of mushrooms, then you will love their rice special. -Scallop with pork jowl & asparagus (13 euros): The scallops were perfectly cooked, and don't be scared of the pork jowl; it's really more like pork belly. -Sweet potato bravas (3.50 euros): I would go back just for this simple, yet fantastic dish. The owner told us that their aioli is special because it's made with roasted garlic and tomatoes that have been braised for hours along with peppers from their garden. You can taste the quality in their aioli because it tasted much more complex than ones from the other tapas bars we went to. -Pork mask (8 euros): Okay, I know the name is rather strange, but this was amazing! Think of bacon that is topped with bits of garlic and vinegar to add some acidity to an otherwise heavy dish. It is a smaller establishment, so make reservations or be okay with sitting at the bar, which is what we did both nights. The atmosphere is friendly with lots of locals dining here. If you're looking for a fine dining experience with white table cloths and room temperature Evian, this is not for you. If you want to have great tapas at a reasonable price with great people, then come here!
