Diamond in the rough LUNCH TIME!! MY coworker says let's get tacos my treat! I said cool where? He said just hang tite and don't tell a soul! We zig zag racing to get our tacos past all the usual places... We get to a lil hole in the wall market?? I said this is it? He says shut up and lock the car I can smell the aroma of a family barbque .. We step in it's a market? All kinds of ethnic goodies galore ... We walk past pan file Mexican candies glass coke bottles a piñata and avacados Way at the back tucked away was taco paradise The sounds of carne asada sizzling the chopping block n action and huddled around the glass counter were antious lunch goers eagerly awaiting their tacos! The ladies were friendly polite and very fast! I look at the mouth watering selections asada pollo tripas (don't ask ) adobada mix a chi Charon Cabelza and others.., It was like a secret portal to old Mexico Placed our order two of each!! With the flare of a Benihana chef our tacos were plated and served.. Garnished with green and red salsa jalapeño seasoned And grilled onion with a fresh hand cut Mexican lime!!! WOW!!! the price was reasonable And time to spare! The taste was amazing but I'll let you be the judge 5 stars A well kept secret and now you know Go get some tacos I mean some BOMB ASS TACOS!!

I dumped the old "granola" in the trash.

I am not sure how this place has 4 stars. It is full of flies! I used to eat here not often but a few times you know their tacos were decent but recently it's gone from ehhh it's ok to terrible. It smells horrible and there are flies literally everywhere! I ordered a Fresca con creme to get a cup full of whipped cream! With a little bit of frozen strawberries, cost $4.50. The "granola" on top was clearly old and tasted like it's been in that Tupperware for a looooong time! I didn't know all those flies were back there until after I paid... Honestly I don't even know why I ordered anything to eat from this place, their food use to be good but with the ladies having nails and rings on cooking the food touching it with no gloves I should have known. They need a deep cleaning they have like 12 ppl working someone needs to be cleaning! I just threw the whole thing away.. my 8 year old didn't even want to touch it..

My favorite place to get tacos here in Riverside. It's super lowkey because the tacos are made in the back of the market. I always come here to get their $1 tacos. You order at the register in the front and take the ticket to the back where they will make your tacos right before your eyes! I love the asada and the carnitas. Their meat is always nice and tender. The tacos are a bit small but they always stack the meat on top. They have an area in the back with lots of tables. The service is also fast but they seem a bit unwelcoming towards me and my boyfriend.

Delicious tacos! Cabeza and al pastor!

So this place, super low-key, hole in the wall, or rather hole in the convenience store. I am so glad I found this place, when after eating at kimchichanga, I looked across the street and saw 1 dollar tacos. I was down of course, gotta try all those new places yknow. Essentially the price is 1 dollar plus tax, or rather they charge 1.10 per taco. The options are cabeza, pollo, al pastor, carne asada, and mixto (which consists of carnitas, buche, and cuerito. Overall, this place I gotta say is really awesome! Really affordable tacos, pretty much taco Tuesday everyday, with pretty authentic tacos made in the back kitchen. The tortillas are fried in lard, and a generous scoop of meat is added on top (it may be from a container, but they pretty much make a batch constantly so its still relatively fresh), and the classic toppings of cilantro, onions, and salsa, with a lime. Also, the service is really quick, you pay at the front, bring the receipt to the kitchen, and within 3 minutes ur chowing down. My personal favorite is the cabeza, it's really tender and they put a good amount of it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants taco Tuesday everyday, or actually, everyone should come try this hidden gem. Just don't everyone come at once, cuz then the lines will be too long and I can't get my tacos in 3 minutes.

The taqueria menu. Note that certain meats are available on weekends only.

I finally stopped by to check this place out. I came in on a Sunday and ordered the menudo and some tacos. The menudo (no hominy con pata) was very good. It came with 3 large, thick, homemade corn tortillas that were delicious. The tacos mixtos were also great and the asada was average as its cooked on a flat top griddle then placed in those stainless steel containers with a lid which continues to cook the meat in its own steam. Order at the register and they give you a ticket that you take to the cooks in the back. They have various items on the menu that I will have to try.

I immediately felt like I mattered as a person, not just a customer. Her assistance and knowledge and kindness was absolutely incredible, she was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything I needed assistance with. I ended up being checked out the second time by another young lady named Allee, who was also every bit as friendly as Becca from my first trip. I was greeted by Adriana, who stopped working to go retrieve my order. The cupcakes are for my granddaughters team party today. I give Cherise, their head bakery full flowers for an awesome presentation! Each little one will have yummy cupcakes and a ring! It takes skill and patience for my order of 24 to be perfect! Great job! The design is perfect for us and age appropriate. She is truly gifted with craft and expertise. Liz was carefully cutting fruit and designing several dishes at once. Her gloved hands demonstrated how much care she put into her every stroke. Lea made the cake pops desired and provided a presentation that made me want to purchase those too! Bright and beautiful! Mary Helen was nearby preparing the deli chicken with dynamite care. Although I came for the wonderful cupcakes that Cherise provided with care, I left with an amazing smile, feeling refreshed at such awesome technical care that goes into each bakery item. Be in awe watching each piece of fruit cut, crafted and placed in perfect design! Well done ladies! I will return to this location for another round of excellent service!

I just got so busy doing so many things but again he went above and beyond in helping me get what I needed done to try and make a long story short, I went in there to buy all the vegetables and fruits. Things that I needed for the week. I was making ceviche for the first time my family, and I have arthritis in both of my hands, and I asked him if they could help me out by having the limes squeezed for me, I also offered to pay for them to do it for me. He was so kind and helpful. He says no not needed and he asked his manager on that day who was running the store I apologize. I did not get her name, but she gave the ok for them to do that. Also I would like to thank the workers who took care of it. A young lady I know they usually do not do this, but you really helped me out so much I appreciate it. I really did not know how many limes ‍ it takes to make the juice for the Ceviche. It was 10 lbs. It really goes to show how much this Northgate really goes above and beyond to help the people of this city in that just by asking that they are willing to help if they can and go out of their way to do it. So Northgate thank you so much for your awesome team of people you have working for you. You have incorporated good work ethics in the people you have working for you. It shows how much you have showed them about team work and how they enjoy working for Northgate because every time I've gone there they're always very nice, happy and helpful. And I will always recommend this Store Northgate for coming to get the produce, groceries The cakes, desserts and the food in this place is so good. The managers are always happy and they keep their store very clean and the people are always so friendly and helpful. Thank you again.

From the outside, the historic De Anza building already gives the store more personality than the average health market, but the real surprise was how much they carry once you start walking through the aisles. I originally planned to look at a few supplements, then found myself browsing specialty groceries, frozen foods, teas, natural personal care products, sports nutrition, and several gluten free and vegan options. The selection feels carefully chosen, especially for people who read ingredient labels or need products that are difficult to find in regular supermarkets. The supplement area is large, so it can be slightly intimidating when you first see all the choices. Thankfully, the staff were friendly and actually willing to explain the differences between products. I appreciated that they did not make the interaction feel rushed or overly sales focused. After shopping, I had coffee with a hazelnut PROTABAR, which has become my favorite protein snack to pair with coffee. The whole hazelnuts, dates, quality egg white protein, and touch of cocoa give it a natural, earthy flavor without the artificial sweetness found in many protein bars. The hazelnut flavor works especially well with a warm cup of coffee. A few honest notes: downtown parking can take a little patience, some parts of the store feel compact, and certain specialty items are more expensive than what you might find at a conventional grocery store. I would also recommend allowing enough time to browse because this is not the easiest place to rush through. Overall, Clark's feels like a genuine Riverside institution rather than just another health food chain. I left with useful products, a few new discoveries, and a much better understanding of what I was buying. Definitely worth visiting if you care about nutrition, clean ingredients, or simply enjoy finding healthier products that are not available everywhere.

I had a relative with me who told her I consumed energy drinks often which was irrelevant as to why I was even there. I was getting the scan for more insight on an my unexplained chronic urinary problems that I've had for about a decade. Whether I drink energy drinks or not, my symptoms stay the same. I am well aware this is not the best health decision anyone can make but Serene looked at me as if my relative told her I was doing hard drugs or drinking alcohol daily. The reason why I consume energy drinks often is because I suffer from nocturnia due to my ongoing urinary problems & I have a very demanding life being a single mom with endless responsibilities. I feel it is very easy for someone who doesn't have to deal with a certain problem on a daily basis to judge someone else who does. She then started to blame literally anything & everything on my results on the energy drinks including my nocturnia that is 100% caused by my urinary problems NOT anything of my lifestyle decisions. This isn't accurate, there are many factors that contribute to one's health. Mind you, she didn't even know what my health problem was at the beginning of our meeting but by the end she was acting as if she had all the answers & was one to speak on my issue but she was wrong about everything. It is important not to give misinformation in a setting regarding someone's health but she felt she knew everything. In the beginning of our meet up she mentioned that the scan is not a diagnosis so she also needs to remeber she is not a doctor.

I won't be able to go back to who I was 10 minutes ago before I ate that piece of poetry. The dill in the tuna complemented the salty and fish essence of said tuna, and brought refreshment not only to my mouth but to my soul and whole body in this monstrous heat. The lettuce was crunchy yet silky and the tomato was sweet and perfectly ripe yet still could hold its shape and didn't fall out at all. For how packed the sandwich was I was very impressed with how well it held up between the multi grain bread. I feel renewed and redeemed after eating that #4 tuna sandwhich. As I took my first bite, "oh yeah" but Steve lacy played in my car stereo, and instead of feeling like a chud loser for eating alone, I felt like a girl who was going to be okay- I saw light at the end of the tunnel, the wind felt cooler, I could see past the smog and the sky cleared up. It was as if God had intervened and blessed me with not only the best sandwich of my life but the hope that things will be okay and life is beautiful and whimsical. I will forever be changed. Sprouts deli didn't just serve me a sandwich, they served me hope. Eating that sandwich was the best 10 minutes of my life and probably the closest to heaven I will get while I'm here on earth. They're basically all just cucumber and rice. The ones with any fish seem to be priced at $6 and even then it's like the tiniest slivers of tuna. They have poke bowls as well, but something is seriously wrong with the seaweed salad in them. It's straight up gray, not green, and so I've been too scared to try one. There are managers specials frequently, as well as discounted prepared food often available in the late afternoon. I'm fond of the kale and apple salad, and there's a black garlic shrimp platter that is delicious as well. If you can catch them on sale, I'd definitely recommend picking them up! One thing that was super tragic is that they've discontinued so many of their refrigerated vegan products. I was happy to pick up a ton of vegan protein for cents on the dollar the one day I caught the massive clearance, but my stock is finally running low and I'm sad I won't be able to find a lot of the same stuff here anymore.
