This was our first time dining at La Sinaloense Mexican Seafood Restaurant in Chula Vista, CA. The restaurant opened five years ago in the middle of the pandemic. As soon as we walked in, the servers were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant has beautiful Mexican pottery with plants and ceramic plates as decor. We tried the following dishes: *Molcajete Cielo, Mar y Tierra. Plate comes with rice and refried beans. The dish for some reason did not come in the hot stone "molcajete" like in the picture. My dad was looking forward to that presentation and was a bit disappointed but said he really enjoyed the chicken, steak and shrimp. The shrimp comes in a delicious creamy chipotle sauce. *Mojarra Frita Al Mojo De Ajo: Fried Tilapia in garlic butter sauce. The plate also came with rice and refried beans. *Fried Fish taco *Fried shrimp taco *Kids quesadilla plate *Michelada beer All of the dishes were delicious and good portion sizes. They gave us a taste of their homemade menudo in red sauce. The meat was very tender with a nice tasting broth. I'm definitely coming back for that soup and also try their breakfast menu. There's indoor & outdoor seating with plenty of parking space. I rate this restaurant 4.5/5 stars. Definitely coming back! Give it a try! Happy Yelping :)
Another great breakfast with the parentals after church. Yummy food. Great service & chill vibes. This is one of our frequent spots to visit.
Came back for another Sunday morning after church breakfast. Service is always great. The food is amazing the server had the plate me and wife were sharing split on two separate plates. Very thoughtful. We also shared a fish taco very flavorful. The music and vibe is always on point. Highly recommend this place definitely can't wait to come on Taco Tuesday.
We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and always had a great experience, which is why I confidently recommended it to my family. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different and extremely disappointing. Our waitress, Yesenia, provided very poor customer service from the beginning. She was rude, inattentive, and made us feel unwelcome. Some guests requested water and never received it. Our food did not come out at the same time, and several dishes were cold when served. I also specifically ordered hard shell tacos and instead received soft tacos. One thing we did enjoy was the shrimp cocktail, which was delicious. However, two people ordered it at the beginning of the meal, and only one received it on time. The other person did not receive their shrimp cocktail until about 15 minutes after everyone else had already received and started eating their meals. That delay made the dining experience even more frustrating. What made the situation even more upsetting was how mistakes were handled. One of my friends mentioned to Yesenia in Spanish that the service had not been good, but there was no apology or attempt to improve the situation. Later, while packing up uneaten food to-go, she dropped the food all over the floor and did not apologize or offer to replace it. I also spoke directly with the manager about our concerns. At first, he did not seem to understand me, even when I spoke in Spanish. Eventually he understood, but unfortunately there was still no apology, concern, or effort made to correct the situation. To make matters worse, our bill was approximately $172, and a tip of $24 was added despite the extremely poor service we received. It was embarrassing to bring my family to a restaurant I had spoken so highly about, only to have such a terrible experience. The service was absolutely horrible, and based on this visit, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The chicken fajita plate is really good, it was very tasty, and filling. No complaints on the service, food or the atmosphere.
Rating is solely due to SERVICE that we received. This was my first time coming here. We came here for a birthday celebration & I believe it was karaoke night. Amazing live singers, but it was SO obnoxiously loud I couldn't even hear my husband who was sitting right NEXT to me. They have their own private lot which was great because I try avoiding anywhere that has bad parking situations or overly crowded. It was somewhat a full house. Our party being the biggest group. I ordered a steak platter. Don't get me wrong, my food was great! I ordered it medium well & it was cooked to perfection. Flavorful, just chef's kiss. It also came with nopal, tortillas, a spoon of guac (literally 1 spoon), hella pico, panela, frijoles, & some fire papas. The papas had cheese & bacon. Soooo delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better dish. & honestly, wished our experience was better so I could continue to support this local business. THE DOWNFALL - To begin, again, the music... Couldn't even hear my own thoughts. When the waiter was asking for my order I told her, "I can't hear you." She had the NASTIEST attitude & it showed. It was an older blondish curly haired lady. Not my goddamn fault you guys have everything on volume 100. She proceeded to point to her electronic ordering system while rolling her eyes. I literally ordered it on the system myself. When we went in, we asked if the bill could be split PRIOR to ordering anything & they said YES. Cool, easier for everyone. After they were so unorganized & obviously did NOT know how to handle a large party, they got orders confused & ended up putting everything on ONE bill. They proceeded to later tell us we could not pay separately making it even more complicated when they already seemed to be flustered. Keep in mind, this was AFTER they told us we could split the bill by parties. While looking at the receipt, there were items that no one ordered being charged. We spent 30mins trying to figure out the bill. Had they done what they originally said they were, it would've been a breeze. They ended up willing to split everyone's bill per party, therefore making things even WORSE. Because they did not know who ordered what. My husband & I shared the steak platter, a jamiaca, & two micheladas. Our bill came out to no more than $70. We were first in line to pay; my husband gave them cash & they did not tender any change. IT IS NOT UP TO YOU TO DECIDE HOW MUCH WE WANT TO TIP BY KEEPING OUR CHANGE. If they were concerned about tip, they should have their own policies about large parties, gratuities, & enforcing split bills. My husband didn't say anything & I was outside because everything was giving me a headache. Had I been inside I would've asked for it back myself. But my husband let it go. Whatever, if they need it more than us. Lol. That's why you get paid hourly & it's not a requirement to tip. Although we always do, even if service is SHITTY. But again, not up to a waiter to decide. If you don't like your job or rely solely on tips, find a different job paying more! Once we paid, we stood outside in the parking lot waiting for the rest of our party. I'm not sure what happened after we went outside since we were the first to pay - but the other black-haired waitress, also older shouted profanities outside to us while inside the restaurant & we were standing in parking lot. Couldn't hear her clearly to make out what she said. Loved the food but not somewhere I'd be willing to spend money at after the horrible experience. BAD SERVICE, RUDE WAITERS, NASTY ATTITUDES, UNORGANIZED. DO NOT RECOMMEND & WOULD NEVER COME BACK.
From the moment you walk into this place the customer service is amazing. The chips and salsa are delicious I ordered the costa azul because I haven't found a place here In San Diego with good ones. Well I found the right place. This place is super good and the restaurant is super clean and a really nice family feel. Great job and I'll definitely be back.
If you want a spicy cocktail or one that has at least some lemon flavor to it. This is not the one. Very bland taste. I asked the girl who gave it to me if it came with chile or salsas and she said it had everything packed already. I opened it and it's just ketchup and mayonnaise lol. Don't recommend this place to go, maybe dining in is a better experience.
While our daughter was visiting us from Florida, she wanted real Mexican food. We found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. My husband got a Carnitas taco & enchilada combo, I got my favorite a Bean & Cheese burrito and our daughter got the same as me:) My husband is really hard to impress and he loved his meal! He loved it so much he wants to go back and get the same thing again! Our bean and cheeses burritos were as yummy as anticipated. The chips and salsa was delicious. The servers were friendly and fun. The place is clean, they can easily accommodate large parties. They could use a little refurbishment here and there but overall we were very happy and plan on going back!
Guests are greeted as they step into restaurant, and seated with menus, chips and delicious salsa. My mom an I shared a taco and enchilada combination plate. Bothe of us were served a noodle and tomato based soup to start. When entree arrived, extra plates and utensils were brought too. Our plate included beans, rice, nopales, guacamole and large taco and enchilada. Taco had at least 6 shrimp and enchilada was loaded with cheese and had a delicious sauce.
Very good food. Thank you for the great experience. The food was delicious. I have only tried that dish at home and not quite trusted outside restaurants to make shrimp with bacon. But this wasn't the exception I had to try it. And it was worth it! Thank you!!

Our first time here and if will definitely not be our last. Food was so delicious. Everything was yummy. We ordered chorizo con huevo, agua chiles, han and egg breakfast sandwich, chilaquiles rojos, quesadilla kids menu, coffee and michelada . Lizeth our waitress was awesome as well. I asked the waitress what La Sinaloense means. She said it means: a girl from Sinaloen. The outdoor area was very comfortable, and had a live mariachi band that was fantastic. The inside had Spanish karaoke. The hostess sat us and then we were forgotten for maybe 20 mins, but the waiter felt bad and comped our beers which made it ok haha The food was so so tasty and the presentation was beautiful. We stopped here by chance las we came to South Bay to buy a car we had a hankering for Mexican Food & we were not disappointed. My husband ordered Carne a la Tampiqueña; I got pozole (yum) snd my daughter was craving tacos de Birria. To make things even better, there was live Mariachi music and a couple was making out at the bar.... ¡AMOR! read more
Beyond impressed with this restaurant! Staff was awesome and accommodating for our slightly large birthday brunch. Everyone got different entrees and they were all delicious! We got chilaqueles, machaca, surf & turf taco, menudo, and the molcajetes. Their strawberry margarita and Michelada were on point. Highly recommend! read more

Passed by here many times and decided it was time to try it out. I ordered the quesadilla with camerones Culichis. It was fantastic as was the salsa and tostadas. Additionally, the service was excellent! read more

The music was all Peso Pluma Vibes. Margaritas were mid, will not order again. Clamato Preparado was on point order with Pacifico beer. Chips and dip were good. We got refills fast. I ordered the pozole, it had flavor, definitely would recommend. Tortillas are not homemade but were okay. The chili relleno was good, would order again. Enchiladas were good 4.5 out 5 stars. The carne asada burrito was good. Would come here again. We came on a Monday. Not a lot of people. No wait and got to sit down right away. Overall, I would love to come again. read more

This restaurant is amazing, I loved everything I ordered. Angel our server was great. The drinks were so good. The menu has many options to choose from. They provide a clean and safe environment, every table had hand sanitizer and is disinfected before and after seating. Can't wait to go away ! read more

Great place. We were driving around looking for a place to eat and spotted this place. Tried out the Siete Mares..wow..very good and well cooked. Came with a free cup of some vegetable broth that was amazing.the chips we're tasty too. read more

I had the machaca with ribeye steak and it was awesome. I was going to take a picture but I ate it fast. It was so good. Service was excellent. I recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic Mexican food.. read more

We were recommended La Sinaloense by a stranger and we were not disappointed! Service was prompt and staff was super friendly! Our food did not disappoint either, the chilaquiles and carne asada quesadilla hit the spot. Facility was clean including the bathrooms. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back again! read more

My dad comes here every week multiple times per week lol. He comes for the pozole on sundays, he recommends it. I've tried the bacon wrapped shrimp, bacon burrito, cali fries and more that I don't remember. They pretty much kill it every time. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place :-) read more

As you can see in the pic, I ordered Octopus burrito which was a good size BUT only a handful of small octopus slices inside, mostly rice. This was a $16 burrito if I remember correctly. Presentation was nice though read more

Randomly stopped at this place for first time. So. Good!! Food was flavorful, not greasy, or heavy. Chips n salsa served right away but salsa was bland. I used salt and lime to upgrade it. Plates came out hot and fresh. A little wait- but food was worth it. Customer service was great-attentive and refilled drinks promptly. Apparently they have Live music on weekends and today was a mariachi solo singer and he was REALLY good. Good Mexican music in general of all variety and karaoke. read more

Whatever you do, do not come here!!!!! If I could I wouldn't give this place any starts. I ordered a fish tostad and when I got my food I had a huge fly right in the center! they gave me the option to order something else but they still made me pay for it!!!!
