I came here a couple times and had two different meals. One was the burrito which was decent for the price can't complain about that but the fajitas was really awesome and they had cold drinks so if you're around the area and want a reasonable price for dinner or lunch this is a place to come.

Don't be fooled by the name "Taqueria". This is a full-service Mexican restaurant, with an extensive menu. And it's independently owned; not a chain. Big plus! I came here after another long day on the road. I was greeted promptly and brought to a table in the cozy dining room. Service was excellent in every way throughout. Most of the diners were families speaking Spanish, with a few single people at the bar who seemed to know the kitchen staff. First thing: a margarita. One of the best I've had in a long time: tangy and limey, not too sweet, plenty of tequila, a generous rimming of coarse salt. The free tortilla chips provided were also awesome: thick and full of corn flavor. Usually I ignore the chips as I don't want to fill up before the meal. Not these! Great with the provided salsa and the several hot sauces at the table. Plenty of combo plates to pick from that would work but not quite what I was looking for. But they had no problem changing the hard shell tortillas to soft corn on the 2-taco combination plate. And no problem ordering 2 different fillings; some places don't let you do that. I got one carne asada and one lengua (look it up). I've never had lengua before but why did I wait this long? The sides of refried beans and rice were not afterthoughts. It was clear they gave them the same attention as the tacos. Beans were not soupy, had finely diced onions and cilantro and a little cheese, and the rice was light and "fluffy" and sparingly dressed with tomato. I ordered another entree for the DW who was resting back at the hotel (like I said, long drive!): A burrito combination plate. Again, they had no problem making a substitution on the filling. I didn't try it but she said it was "quite good". I had plenty of chips left over from my meal and I asked them to take them home but they gave me a whole new order too! Price: unbelievable. The whole meal: 2 entrees and my drink came to $25 with tip! How is that even possible? I checked the bill though and it was right. Sure the cost of living may be lower in Brunswick GA but wow!

In town for a soccer game and happened on this place and jumped in. This place was packed for great reason. The food was really good, especially the whole fish. Crunchy but not dried out, very juicy. The staff was very friendly as well, despite how busy it was. If I had one complaint is how you pay. You go to the bar to pay and since this place is so crowded you are literally crowding people at their table. But the food is worth it.

Lives up to all the good reviews. We headed to Cilantro's initially but it was way to busy for lunch. No worries, La Salsa has way better Yelp reviews. I had been here in the past and wasn't a fan of the interior but the new look is so much better. We walked in and it was busy here too, but we found a nice window seat and quickly had menus with some awesome thick (homemade) chips and salsa. We ordered drinks and they came out fast. Just enough sweet and alcohol, perfection. The menu had a ton of choices and almost everything was under $14. We got the arroz a la tejana (cheese over chicken, steak and shrimp and rice), taco salad and camarones a la diabla (deviled shrimp). Then another round of fabulous margaritas. The food was great, really great. I wanted to get some horchata since I've heard wonderful things, but I had zero room left. The total bill for three with drinks was a little over $50. After our meal we went next door to the little grocery store and walked away with some take home goodies. Overall a great experience and my husband's new proclaimed "favorite Mexican restaurant". We will be back, a lot.

BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD AROUND! I came in twice in 3 days! The first time I ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla and al pastor taco to go. They were safe bets for a place I had never been and I wasn't disappointed. My food was done quickly but was still cooked thoroughly and there was a whole chicken breast in the quesadilla. The taco was simple yet delicious. The second time I dined at the bar. They have all the good beers on draft; Modelo, Dos Equis, Pacifico, etc. I ordered the Grande Burrito, which I will say wasn't as grande as I'm used to in Southern California but it made up for it by being amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Small hole in the wall restaurant in Brunswick that packs so much character and flavor in absolutely everything they do. I didn't expect much from this place when I first arrived. We walked in and weren't really greeted and just decided to sit at any table we could find. Though I have to admit they were busy when we got there. Anyways when they brought out our horchatas I was amazingly surprised. Most Mexican restaurants go for the powdered horchata so you get like a watered down version. But this horchata definitely took the cake of any other horchata I've ever had. And mind you I lived in El Paso for over a year where every Mexican restaurant there claimed to have great horchata. I ordered the tacos and split the menudo with my sister. I make some pretty great tacos but these definitely tasted way better than mines and the menudo was absolute perfection. I can not wait to go back.

I had the chicken fajitas and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The service was great and after just a few minutes my order came out fresh and hot. You get 5 flour tortillas and there was SO much chicken, I was very surprised and the food quality was excellent! The guacamole was exceptionally good. It comes with pico de gallo, rice and refries with cheese. You also get free chips and salsa. I was very disappointed with the salsa, clearly not house made. It tasted like maybe it was pace. Just runny like thick tomato juice and virtually no flavor. I can see why this place has such good reviews!

Plenty of tables this time of night and on a weekday but for some reading the hostess looked annoyed when we asked for a booth by the window? Once seated our server was right there. Got drinks and placed our orders. Started with some chorizo queso. Pretty tasty but not the best we've had. A decent started. I ordered chicken with chorizo and a burrito with rice. Pretty good. Chicken was overcooked and dry but tasted pretty good. Deb had the chimichangas with chorizo. It was ok. Decent flavors. An ok stop for dinner. Convenient if staying next door. Service was good but probably would go out of our way to go back.
