Nothing fancy in decor or location however their tacos are something specials recommend the barrio tacos with cheese and the secret meat juices dipping sauce -although nothing else is needed the green and red sauces are also secret sauce material. A foodie fan I like to go home and attempt mimicking Flavors and these are unmatchable - Make no mistake you can find other good tacos but authenticity rings true here read more

Barrio Tacos - Don't forget the dipping sauce and try the spicy red and green sauces too - Mexican Near Me - Brunswick, Georgia

TLDR: You know a place is good if you go there twice in a day So as I'm adjusting to my new life down here my compadre and have been perusing around town for good spots and some hits and misses but today was my turn and we came here. He ordered a burrito with asada and chorizo and I ordered the same curious to try out chorizo and once we got our order.......absolute crickets because we were in awe of how good it was. We just smiling and nodding our heads at each other with a mouthful murmurs of it's so good. Looking around while I'm in enthralled in the goodness of this burrito it definitely has a local street vendor vibe with a big seating area complete with a bar and TVs somewhat blasting mariachi music but it just added to the vibe. We could not stop talking about this place when we got back to work and I said I'm def going back for dinner to where he said man I'm still full but I'd def consider it. Well I went back later in the evening and it was still hopping like it was for lunch and a different girl was working the counter (a little less friendly then the lunch one but I get it it's busy in there) but still courteous and I ordered 3 tacos 2 asada and 1 chorizo (think I've found my fave) with a modelo (reasonably priced at 5 vs a 8 dollar michelob I had at longhorns a couple of weeks ago shame on you longhorns!) They were delivered and they were perfectly sized...not huge but portioned just enough to hit the spot. Just as tasty and flavorful as lunch was and place was just as busy only difference was they put the TVs on some ambient background and music that was a bit loud but not overwhelming to the vibe. So of course I let my broham know how good it is and he's still like man I'm full but I might pack up the fam and go.....and sure enough after I was settled back home who sends me a pic of his plate lol So definitely check this place out if you're in town and if you like chorizo, you're gonna love this place! read more

I went in today and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The blonde cashier was a little rude when I asked for my drinks, especially considering it was around 90° outside and my toddler was thirsty. She told me I had to wait until my food came out to get them, which I've never experienced with the tiny girl and the one with glasses the previous times I've came. The table we sat at was dirty, and the room had a strange smell. The food was okay, but it was poorly prepared and very greasy. Overall, the experience could have been much better. I hope the staff and food quality improve. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place!! The steak has to be my favorite of all the protein choices. The food is always hot, even if its delivered. And the esquite is the best. Only complaint I have is that sometimes they dont give enough of the green salsa, its that good!! read more

I had one quesobirria, one chicken, and one steak tacos and they were all very very good. I highly recommend this place.

This was my initial visit to this establishment. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. On this occasion, I was able to order food that was exceptionally well-prepared. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness. I intend to return and dine at this establishment on a future occasion. I had the asada and chicken burrito, which were both highly delectable. The next time I will definitely stay super laid back environment. read more

Found this gem of an authentic Mexican taco joint on our way home from Florida! Saw only excellent 5-star reviews on Yelp and Apple Maps and had to try their birria firsthand. (Did not disappoint!) Delicious quesabirria, steak burritos, and horchata. Several regulars came in (during a torrential downpour!) to pick up their takeout orders -- I can absolutely see why this is a favorite among Brunswick locals! Excellent service, friendly staff and very tasty food. Located in a retail strip with ample parking right off a main road. Would love to sit out on the patio when the weather is nicer! read more

Food was good if I overlook both hairs in my food. Restaurant is not clean, faint musty odor. Someone may be living in the back room by the restrooms. Will not return. read more

Hands down the best torta in town! The food is fresh and flavorful, and the service is excellent--quick, attentive, and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

GO FIND THIS PLACE! Can't wait to go back!! I usually shy away from "taco truck" type restaurants. No table service, no chips, liquor bar, etc., BUT...I am so glad I tried Barrio Tacos! I cannot put into words just how good this food was. I had the chorizo and Pastor Tacos, while my wife had two Asada tacos. Upon first bite we both knew this place was not the average taco stand. The taste blew me away, it was perfect. The quality of the ingredients also showed through. Tender, moist and most of all...favorable. It's obvious this is a family run business and they take great pride in everything they do. Sadly, during a lunch rush, we were the only people there. Come on, Brunswick!! Show up!! This is how we lose small locally owned, family restaurants. The location isn't the best as it remains hidden from the main road (Altama) in a small strip of stores, across from the College of Coastal GA. Take the time to find them (cater-cornered to Willies), and I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Do not miss out on this place! read more

Food was decent but was surprised to learn that it ran out of chicken. I ordered the quesadilla and it was lacking in cheese. The service was fast and the restaurant did have a ok feel to it. read more

Just moved here from Atlanta almost 2 years ago. Some of the best tacos I've had in Brunswick and the service was great as well

This was my first time patronizing this business. I have gone to the hair shop in the same plaza for a while, so I decided to stop in today. I ordered a veggie burrito and got steak. They exchanged it once I took it back. The most unexpected experience was the women's restroom. It did not have running water in the sink and the toilet paper was nowhere to be found. After having to search the bathroom for something to wipe myself with. Imagine my surprise after pumping soap in my hand when the water did not turn on. I had to wash my hands behind the service counter. I hope that the business pays more attention to the service in the future because I am not sure I will be back. read more
