DETAIL: 10/16/11
They recently put up a sign saying "All-District Towing", instead of LA Roadside Towing. The above address is correct, and the gate is on Crystal off Fletcher. The owner and agent for service is Danny Sor, who is 5'5", a slightly heavy Filipino man in his early 20s who looks about 43.
In the event of any unpleasantness Danny will play name games. His business runs shady and fly by night so that it's harder for you to figure out what's going on or track him down. He also relies heavily on you not following through. So do a little legwork like I did and surprise him.
He towed my motorcycle. When I went to pick up my bike at 2am, the employee, refused to open the gate, made me sign some generic paperwork through the gate's bars, then rolled out my bike. Voila, it had been damaged.
The employee claimed that he was not an employee, that he didn't know who or where the owner was, that I caused or would cause the damages myself, and that I could not prove anything.
On the phone the next day, Danny Sor claimed that I had done everything wrong, had been lying and that he was no longer liable. Then he said to shove it up my a$$, hire an attorney and take him to court.
Hiring an attorney is not necessary to take him to court.
Danny has learned how to dodge service, so I hired a PI server to serve him at home twice due to his changing of the registered agent name, which had been a false name (a fudged variant of Oathman Rafie or Rafi Othman etc).
Danny came to my private residence before the court session and took pictures of my vehicle on the street in an attempt to avert blame for the damages he caused.
Danny showed up in court but did not feel up to taking the stand, instead using a buddy to do all the talking. I made my case and the judge awarded me. Damages were triple the tow amount but only 42% of what I was asking.
Danny contested payment but managed to man up at the last minute.
Danny Sor does his best to intimidate, but in the end he's just a knucklehead with a lot to learn. read more
