I'm a huge fan of their tuna--especially the otoro, chutoro, and akami--but you honestly can't go wrong with their salmon, uni, or any of their other fresh fish selections. Their hot food section is just as impressive and made fresh daily. Whether it's chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, sushi bowls, nigiri, chicken karaage, or grilled salmon, everything hits the spot and tastes homemade. What really makes this place special is the family behind it. You'll almost always see Ken, Shu, Misako, or their mother Ryuko, and they make the whole experience feel welcoming and authentic. And if you're into whiskey or just a casual drinker, keep an eye out for their selection--they occasionally carry rare bottles like Yamazaki and Hakushu, which are getting harder to find these days.
